    International friendly

    Italy vs Ukraine

Yes yes, team news etc, all are important but i wont pay much attention to all that. There are some things for me that are more important and that's where i will base my bet.

Roberto Mancini is the new manager of the Italian national team (since May) so it's normal to see the results we have seen in his first two games. After all, we are talking about a group of players who are training together only few days per year (compare to club teams). For this game, Mancini has called up Cristiano Piccini and Lorenzo Tonelli since Danilo D'Ambrosio, Patrick Cutrone and Alessio Romagnoli have all left the training camp two days ago due to injuries. Roberto Mancini also gave call ups to Inter defender Inter duo Roberto Gagliardini and Toronto's forward Sebastian Giovinco - who last played for his country in 2015.

Some changes also in Ukraine since Andriy Shevchenko has called up defending duo Vasyl Kravets and Ihor Plastun for the first time, but the familiar faces of ***8203;Andriy Yarmolenko and Yevhen Konoplyanka who have score the 8 of the 12 goals at Ukraine's last seven games are in the squad.

For Italy, this is just a friendly game 3-4 days after their players played with their clubs and 3 days before their third game for the UNL. At the first two UNL games, Italy has one draw at home and one loss away and that's why they are sitting at the bottom of their group since the other two teams have played only one game. I don't know how seriously Italy will see this friendly but i doubt they will play 100% for the whole 90 minutes with their situation being like that.

Ukraine's players are also coming from a 3-4 days rest but the difference compare to Italy is that they are playing two days later than their opponent (Italy at 14/10 and Ukraine at 16/10). The second difference between them is that Ukraine is sitting in top of their group with two wins. I can't tell also how important is this friendly for Ukraine but seems to be the slight advance on Ukraine is that a) they have the same coach and b) they can spare some energy if they want.

Following the Ukrainian footie only for a specific bet which will be the case here too, and taking into consideration all the above, i find the line for Ukraine's team corners just right to take the bet. The odds are pretty good also.

Ukraine team corners over 3.5 at 2.20 which i already took. GL!

Some news from Italian side. I wouldn't give too much importance to Italy's next Nations league game, it's not their priority to win it, but to slowly build their game play and confidence, and eventually get back to being a true elite team they have been throughout the past. So, this game is as important as any they will play soon. After first two UNL games where they failed to win, and where Mancini made some bad experiments like starting out of shape Balotelli, they will look to get the W, while also trying out some new stuff. They are expected to play 4-3-3 today without a classic 'number 9', but with Insigne, Bernardeschi and Chiesa upfront switching places.

Also worth noting, the game will be played in Genova, whole team visited remains of Morandi bridge and the site of the tragedy yesterday, which might bring something extra to the team wanting to get the win for the people of Genova.
He who controls others may be powerful, but he who has mastered himself is mightier still.
