Race for promotion is getting very tight. Except Bastia who are already promoted second and third place are open. With still 11 rounds to play 9 teams compete for promotion as they are just in six points difference. Nantes is currently 5th with 40 points, while 2nd Clermont has 44 and 3rd Reims has 43. So with win Nantes will most likely catch or get closer to desired promotion. I would surely rate them as one of best in league and i think its time that one of biggest French teams returns to where it belongs, top division in France. They are here in this division for too long for their standards and i think this year they made team capable of promotion and am pretty sure at end they'll achieve it. They come after lose and draw in last two rounds but those were away matches and vs good teams. Also it has to be reminded that Nantes very home team, second best home team with 9-2-2 and 22:8 goal difference, and they are also second worst away team with 2-5-7 and 12:19 goal difference so those two last results are just part of normal Nantes pattern while Stade de la Beaujoire stays firm fortress.
Boulogne on the other hand is in relegation zone, they are 19th with 26 points. This is very even league but there are teams who are bit weaker than rest and Boulogne is one of them, also with very weak form, no win in last 6 matches, 2 draws and 4 loses. Boulogne will almost certainly be relegated, they are very weak away from home, 3rd worst visitor with 2-5-6 and 12:17 goal difference. It maybe doesn't sound that bad but good away results are common in this league and good domestic teams even rarer.
    Team news.

    Nantes group:

Riou, Zelazny, Cissokho, Djilobodji, Martins Pereira, Veigneau, Vivian, Bessat, Krychowiak, NGoyi, Pancrate, Trébel, Veretout, Djordjevic, Raspentino, Wiltord

    Missing :

    Coradini - defender (24 apps)
    Cheyrou - midfielder (9 apps)
    Vieira - midfielder (9 apps)

    Boulogne group :

Bague, Gurtner, Rimane, Gace, Colin, Lecointe, Touré, Fabien, Karuru, Ducatel, Oliveira, Reale, Bru, Capoue, Reset, Chadili

    Missing :

    Cianci - defender (18 apps)
    Damour - midfielder (15 apps)
    Salibur - midfielder (19 apps)
    Loriot - midfielder (6 apps)
    Alart - striker (27 apps)

By groups people who follow this league weaker can see Nantes is mostly a group of experienced ex Ligue 1 players like Pancrate, Wiltord, Ngoyi, Cheyrou and young players from domestic school. Perhaps best player striker Filip Dordevic. Cheyrou missing will easily be dealt with and Nantes has many good players to replace there. Boulogne on the other hand has some serious missings. First striker Alart with 8 goals is out, so is Salibur, important attacking midfielder/winger, Damour is out and defense missing regular Cianci. Boulogne doesn't have such wide squad so any missing is hard to replace.

Nantes is better team, their home ground has been solid as a rock so far this season, Boulogne is bad away, has some important missings and in awful form. After two weaker results Nantes needs 3 points here today and against this weaken Boulogne side is perhaps best option to get some points. It should go easily but i'm always careful with this league but by all it should be very clear home win. Nantes is catching promotion and i think they'll do it at end. 3 points today are "must", to end bit weaker serie and to close gap on leaders. Boulogne, well for them most likely relegation this year.

      Sedan - Angers
      Pick: Sedan
      Odds: 1.90 @ Betsafe
      Stake: 5/10

Sedan have no defeat in the league in their last four games (1-3-0), but those draws are still not good enough for the team to get a place in the top three. The team is doing almost equal both at home and as visitors and if they manage to up their home form until the end of the season they can easily fight for promotion until the very last round. Exactly at home Sedan is on a bad run of five straight games without a win (0-3-2) and tomorrow against the bad Angers team this run has to end. Traore (24/0) and Langil (13/0) are out with injuries, but both strikers Fauvergue (22/10) and Diallo (23/6) are back in the squad, which is great news for coach Guyot.

Angers is on an awful run of nine straight games in Ligue 2 without a win (0-4-5) and because of this they are now just one point ahead of the relegation zone. In the midweek the team not only lost against Amien with 0:2, but also two of their important players got red cards and will miss the game tomorrow - Keseru (26/5) and Suma (6/0), as well as Henin (21/3) and Manceau (18/0). Angers also conceded at least two goals in their last five away games in the league.

Sedan really have to show much better display at home, if the team wants to stay in the fight for the top three until the end of the season. Tomorrow against a weakened team like Angers the opportunity for three points is really good and I don't think the home team will miss this.

Sedan lost only one of their last nine home games against this opponent (5-3-1).

Cheyrou is not missing for Nantes. He is no longer an active player.

He quit his career in january.

Interested in the match between Le Mans and Remis. It seems to me that Remis has the upper hand here.

          Any team news?
