    England League One

It's been quite a while from my last post, the vacation is over,so it's time to start earning cash(i hope)..

    Blackpool – Gillingham
    Pick: Blackpool
    Odds: 2.16 @ Betfair
    5/10

Ok this is the 5th round,Blackpool is currently on 19 place with record 1-0-3 and GD 4:6 while Gillingham is on 22 place, record 1-0-3 and GD 4:7,quite equal performance so far but i will give a small advantage to home team this time..
Blackpool played 2 games so far on home ground in league and both lost
    12/08-06 Blackpool vs. Rotherham 0:1
    08/08-06 Blackpool vs. Nottingham 0:2
last weekend they beated Bristol City on their ground 2:4,also they played a cup game on home ground 3 days ago with Barnsley which ended 2:2 and they lost on penalty 2:4..
So their form(attacking power)is slowly rising Scoot Wernon and tomorow is really great oportunity for first home victory this season...Why?
    G
illingham beated only Huddersfield in opening of season 05.08.2006(2:1)
Last four games(last one is cup game):
    22/08-06 Millwall vs. Gillingham 2:1
    19/08-06 Gillingham vs. Northampton 0:1
    12/08-06 Bradford vs. Gillingham 4:2
    08/08-06 Brighton vs. Gillingham 1:0
As the record shows they form is really bad either playing home or away..
These are the team news:Gillingham could be without midfielder Mark Bentley, who came off with an ankle injury at Millwall. Goalkeeper Kelvin Jack will miss his third game in a row with a knee injury.
I don't have any team news for Blackpool at this time..
As i said Blackpool form is in rising especially attack with Scot Vernon(3 goals in last 2 matches),suprises are always possible in every game but the odds are really tempting for medium stake..

Little bit of statistics for possible over/under game:
    Blackpool this season in league:
    Over (2,5) 1 25%
    Under (2,5) 3 75%
    Blackpool last season in league:
    Over (2,5) 21 46%
    Under (2,5) 25 54%

    Gillingham this season in league:
    Over (2,5) 2 50%
    Under (2,5) 2 50%
    Gillingham last season in league:
    Over (2,5) 21 46%
    Under (2,5) 25 54%
    H2H:
    06.05.2006 Blackpool – Gillingham 3:3
Betfair have 2.24 for over maybe i will try over with small stakes,i will decide tomorow..
    Good luck!

if those set of results can inspire you with confidence then good luck, blackpool have cost me when i'm on them and against them and right now i'm not sure who the real blackpool are, gillingham are middle table side but could frustrate.
I'll look elsewhere, Port vale and forest are the two form sides, here but seem to have trickier than normal away games. I prefer to look at some homes, doncaster have goals in them and bournemouth are leaking. Doncaster are a good side who away from home have stuttered a little, but at home have done well. Good value here, and maybe in Brighton at home to c rewe, brighton were not disgraced in losing to forest last weekend and have adjusted to life in the lower league much quicker than crewe. Saying that crewe should know more about them as they have played them a few times over the seasons, so that might put a small risk on that game. I'm taking doncaster at home and maybe brighton, will wait on that one.

Leyton Orient are worth a serious consideration this week.

Team news for the Swans isn't too good. According to their website they have a lot of injuries:

Swansea City's injury troubles have taken another turn for the worst with Lee Trundle and Leon Britton joining the list of walking wounded.
Both players are set to miss Saturday's League One trip to Leyton Orient, while Andy Robinson's ankle injury has not recovered in time.
Trundle picked up a hamstring injury in training on Thursday, an injury that could rule him out for a couple of weeks, while Britton is struggling with the reoccurrence of a knock sustained against Doncaster last Saturday.
With Dennis Lawrence (groin), Garry Monk (knee) and Owain Tudur Jones (knee) also out, manager Kenny Jackett's squad is starting to be stretched to the limit.
There was some good news for Jackett this week, however, with Darren Way (shin) and Shaun MacDonald (groin) both coming through a hastily arranged reserve team friendly against Bristol City.
I watched the Leyton Orient in their match on Thursday and despite the scoreline they didn't do too badly. They had rested 5 players midweek and with their first choice striker pairing they could have given WBA more of a game. They were in the game till the 70th min when Carter scored a good goal which shattered their confidence and the superior quality showed through.

Orient have been a little hit and miss so far this season but importantly have won both their home games. I believe they miss their captain through suspension but would also have been injured for a few weeks as well. One other injury worry in Dave Partridge, but other than that have an almost fully fit squad.

I must admit that I thought Swansea at times last season were overated and haven't had as good a start to the season as they had been expected. It looks as good a time as any to oppose them and whilst I don't know too much about Orient, Swansea are at least worth a speculative lay.
