Cairns Taipans vs South East Melbourne

The match was supposed to be played in Melbourne, but due to the recent Covid outbreak it was moved to Cairns.
The Taipans are rooted to the bottom of the ladder, losing match after match.
The SE Melbourne team beat them 3 times this season, last two times by 20 and 29 points, home and away.
SE Melbourne are the highest scoring team in the competition and with a win here they can pretty much resolve their play-offs participation.

The Taipans lost 8 in a row now and they lose by big margins.

    Bet 1: SE Melbourne -11.5 @1.89

      Sydney Kings vs Melbourne United

The Kings collapsed in Perth to a Wildcats team playing without their MVP Bryce Cotton. Their play-off hopes took a big hit and they now must win their last three games, including this one. They already beat Melbourne once, so it's doable. Melbourne are almost assured of their top spot in the regular season. I expect a grinding match, with an improved performance by Sydney, a bounce back from their disappointing performance in Perth.

      Bet 1: Sydney +5.5 @1.91
      Bet 2: Under 172.5 points @1.83

        Illawarra Hawks vs Perth Wildcats

Even without their star MVP Bryce Cotton, Perth managed to win three games in a row. Also, they kept opposition to low scores.
The Hawks are in great form, having won their last four matches, home and away.
This season the Wildcats beat the Hawks 3 times in 3 matches. Both teams are very good defensively, and the scores in those three matches were low.
The first quarters however were high scoring in every match, and in general, while scores are low, the first quarters tend to be high scoring in this league this season.
Both teams have plenty to fight for.
Perth need to win this to stand a chance of snatching the top spot away from Melbourne next round (last one too), when they play Melbourne at home.
The Hawks need to win this to secure their play-off spot.

        Bet 1: Under 162.5 @1.91
        Bet 2: 1st Qtr Over 40.5 @1.85

          NZ Breakers vs Cairns Taipans

The Taipans management decided to end the contract of their coach and not extend it after the 25-points loss to Melbourne 2 days ago.
They are also without 5 players, Cam Oliver, Venky Jois, Fabijan Krslovic, Kouat Noi and Mojave King.

The Breakers are with full roster.
Both teams are rooted to their 8th and 9th positions on the ladder with one game to go and nothing to play for other than pride and contracts.

          Bet 1: Breakers -8.5 @1.90
Bet 2: Team Total - Breakers Over 90.5 Points @1.80

            SE Melbourne vs Brisbane Bullets

This game is played in Cairns in an empty hall.

With three games left to play, both teams need the win, especially the Bullets. SE Melbourne needs just one more win in their last 3, while Brisbane must win all three to keep their hopes alive of getting to the finals.

Both teams are high scoring and they played high scoring matches between them this season.

              Illawarra Hawks vs Sydney Kings

The Hawks are through to the finals and this is their last game of the regular season. They put in a huge effort to beat Perth Wildcats, who were without MVP Bryce Cotton, 81-79.

The Kings have two games left to play and they must win both to qualify to the finals. Four days ago they beat the league leading Melbourne United in a double OT.
Now they must back that effort up with a win here, otherwise it was all that effort for nothing.

The Hawks play only to keep their Sydney rivals (both teams are from the same state) out of the play-offs, while the Kings play for their lives (i.e. play-off spot).

              Bet 1: Sydney +3.5 @1.90
              Bet 2: Under 163.5 @1.91

Brisbane Bullets vs SE Melbourne Phoenix

SE Melbourne are through to the play-offs even if they lose.
If they lose by 80 points, then they get kicked-out of the play-offs.
Brisbane are farewelling their legendary coach, Andrej Lemanis, and they've had some good results lately. However, they lost last time out by 1 point to Sydney, and that was their last hope for the play-offs gone.
They also beat SE Melbourne last week by 7 points in Cairns (almost an away game for Melbourne, as Cairns is in the same state as Brisbane).

In terms of motivation it looks like Brisbane has more to play for, as they want to farewell their coach on a high.
The Phoenix can choose to win and play Perth away (although Perth are without their MVP Bryce Cotton, they are the toughest team to beat at home) in what will be a quick turnaround with Perth playing in front of their own fans and SE Melbourne playing at a neutral venue, without their fans, because Victoria is in a lockdown at the moment.

If Phoenix chooses to lose, they will play Melbourne United at a neutral venue and neither team will have their fans, of course.

Brisbane will play with much less pressure, while for the Phoenix this will be the last rehearsal ahead of the play-offs.

                Bet 1: Brisbane +6.0 @1.87
                Bet 2: Over 177.0 points @1.85

                  Perth Wildcats vs Illawarra Hawks

The Wildcats are without their 3-time championship winner and 2-time MVP Cotton.
In the last four matches of the regular season, when they played without Cotton, they won two and lost two. They would have made their adjustments for the play-offs and they may win this, however I am not sure they'll be able to cover the handicap, as the Hawks have one of the best coaches in the league, Goorjian, and they will probably stay close. However, being a play-off game, handicap wins or losses don't matter, as it's a best of three.

Defence however must be a priority for both teams, and Perth have one of the best defences in the league, while the Hawks are the 4th tightest.
In their four matches in the regular season, the scores were low.

                  Bet: Under 158.5 @1.90

                    Melbourne Utd vs SE Melbourne

All the three matches of this play-off will take place in Sydney without spectators.
Neutral venue, empty stands, two of the best offences in the league.

Melbourne Utd are probably the best team in the league, and although they did lose two times to SE Melbourne during the regular season, they'll probably start this series with a win.

                    Bet 1: Over 171.5 @1.83
                    Bet 2: Melbourne win & Over 164.5 points @1.86

                      Illawarra Hawks vs Perth Wildcats

This is the second game of the semifinals, best of 3.
Two days ago the Hawks won in Perth 74-72, after the Wildcats led for 36 minutes and couldn't score for about 3 minutes in the last quarter.

The Wildcats are without Cotton, but this is a team that doesn't rely on a single player, although his impact is huge.
They had the game in their hands but they couldn't finish. Now they studied what they did wrong and what needs to improve. Even if the Hawks win, I don't think the difference will be big.

                      Bet: Perth +2.5 @1.90

                        Perth Wildcats vs Illawarra Hawks

The Wildcats won the second game away in this best of 3 semifinal, although they played the second half without Mitch Norton. The other players stepped up and covered the big hole left by him. Now it's 1-1 and the decisive game is back in Perth.
I expect the Wildcats to have learned from their mistakes and win at home this time, especially with the news that Mitch Norton has passed his fitness test and can play tonight, news that would have energized the home team.

Both matches ended with low scores, 146 and 150 points respectively, and this being the decisive game I expect a grinding match fought with grit, determination and tough defence.
In both games the Hawks scored under 75 points, so I expect they stay below that number tonight as well, but I keep the stakes low, being a decisive game and OT possible.

                        Bet 1: Perth -3.5 @1.90
                        Bet 2: Under 155.5 points @1.90
                        Bet 3: Hawks Under 75.5 @1.90

                          Perth Wildcats vs Melbourne United

The best two teams in the league meet in Game 1 of 5 of the Grand Final.
The Wildcats are missing their newly crowned MVP Bryce Cotton, while Melbourne are without Jack White.

                          Going for unders here.

                            Melbourne United vs Perth Wildcats

This is the third game of the final, best of 5, and Melbourne won the first two games, both in Perth.
                            Now they play in Melbourne.
The second game in Perth the Wildcats had two more players out injured, Steindl and Travers, and played with Norton through injury, and they are already missing Bryce Cotton, recently awarded MVP this year too.

Steindl and Travers are back now, so Perth should be able to give a better account of themselves.

                            Bet: Perth Wildcats +8.5 @1.90
