    Everton vs Fulham

Everton to win @ 2.05 with Gamebookers

PICK LOST 1-1 to gladly see the end of January!

I think Everton have what it takes to get a result at home against most teams as they have a kind of play that is more effective than attractive and that gets the job done. Against Fulham they will face a team low on confidence and form. They are finding the second half of the Premeirship that little bit tougher and a trip to Goodison Park for an FA Cup tie is not what they needed in my opinion. They carry attacking threats in Malbranque & Boa Morte but Everton are pretty dependable in their backline and I think they should be able to limit the scope of the Fulham attacks. That said Coleman is a very canny manager and Fulham play with a lot of style, plus they can be very unpredictable. I will make Everton my final pick for January though to hopefully carry me to a respectable 200+ points score.

Edit: Cheers Casabel, too lazy too look around these days!

        Parma – Bologna (+0.5) 2, 1.88 @ Pinnacle won (0-0)

Bologna is in great uptrend lately with 3 wins in a row, but that’s not the reason why i bet on them (that even concerns me). This bet is actually against Parma. This week they ‘ve lost 2 very important players – Adriano to Inter, and Filipini to Palermo.Adding that Diana completed his move to Sampdoria, you can easily conclude things are not getting any better for Parma club.Parmalat problems are still No 1 topic in TG1 (italian news), and that has to start affecting the team, sadly.Maybe all Parma’s players have pushed away their thoughts about that so far, and their game hasn’t suffered much. But, now when you see your teammates leaving the ship that sinks…Also in favour of red-blue neighbours stands very good tradition, as they seemed to be the toughest team to beat for Parma in last couple of years.
He who controls others may be powerful, but he who has mastered himself is mightier still.

          Agassi v Srichaphan - Srichaphan @ 4.00 (Bet365)

Srichaphan leads h2h 1-0, defeating Agassi 6-4 7-6 6-2 at Wimbledon in 2002. Admittedly, Agassi is on fire at the moment but he hasn't really played a quality player to date. You could argue that Enqvist is a former finalist but his standards have dropped since those days. Srichaphan accounted for Kuerten in straight sets in his last match, and also had his opponent default in the 2nd round. He reached the finals in Chennai earlier in the month so he has come into this tournament on the back of some good form. Srichaphan has never advanced passed the 4th round of a grand slam but I see a good opportunity for him to cause an upset and enter the 2nd week as a real contender for the OZ title.

            Parma - Bologna
            Pick: 2
Odds: 4.75 (yea yea, I know... ) Bet lost /Per

After a terrible start to the season, Bologna has finally started to do something right and string some good results together. This has coincided with the loan deal that has brough mercurial Japanese player Hidetoshi Nakata to the club. His presence has done much to improve performance and results. Of course, 1 may argue that their recent good results have all come against weak opposition. But I beg to differ, they clubs they face are in fact very resilient and are tough nuts to crack, i.e. Empoli(won Inter and Parma, provided stiff opposition of Milan and Roma), Lecce(unlucky draw with Juventus, provided great resilence a against Parma and Inter), Chievo(a proven resilient side from last season's campaign). It is really a good decent run of result they have put together and by now means really inferior. Parma this season is in just 1-way different from the past. The loss of Mutu in pre-season has proved vital. And now, with the loss of Adriano and Filippini, the squad is softened even further. With the team in a financial turmoil, the morale in their camp is not exactly super. They do not know who would be sold next or where their future lies. Yes, they are currently in 4th place, but they have really struggled very hard to get those results. Even against the weakest opponents, they needed luck and all. It speaks alot when the are the lowest scorers among the top 5 clubs, they have also conceded the most. Recent form has been decent, a home draw against Udinese, hard fought wins against Inter and Ancona. But they have been proven to be prone to great lapses of concentration and showed that they are not exactly unbeatable even by clubs which are of very much lower ambitions. Losses to lowly Empoli, Reggina are proof to this. Bologna with their current form are definitely capable of getting at least a point out of this and if they are lucky, they could even nick a win! Interestingly, the psat 5 league meetings between these 2 sides have yielded a record of 3/1/1 in Bologna's favor! And with the crisis brewing at Parma, on-loan Nakata wanting to proof a point to his employers, Bologna's good form, the great odds. I say yeah, Bologna got every chance to win this one. Please take note that this is a value-bet. Small stakes are advised

              Empoli - Juventus 2

              1. No serious injuries in Juve
              2. Definitely in need of 3 points

              3. if we look at upcoming matches of Serie A leaders, we'll see such picture:

Roma >>> Udinese, Brescia, Juventus (Good chance for roma to promote against Udinese)
Milan >>> Ancona, Siena, Bologna (Milan gos one step higher and if Juve don't win...)
Inter >>> Modena, Siena, Sampdoria (Inter with many injuries, still a better chance to win for them)
              Juventus >>> Empoli, Chievo, Roma

I think today Juventus will concentrate hard and fight for 3 points, as Empoli is
a weaker side compared with the other two.

I hope Juve will not let me down as they did in the match against Lecce on Dec 21 :!:

Wolverhampton - West Ham United (FA Cup), AH(0:+1/2)away@1.75 (G'bookers)
                  WON (1:3)

The two sides swapped divisions in the summer and the situation could well be reversed in a few months' time.

--->Wolves manager Dave Jones is set to rotate his squad and could opt to rest veterans Paul Ince and Denis Irwin. Striker Nathan Blake is continuing to struggle with a neck injury. Shaun Newton is battling to shake off a hamstring strain in time for Sunday's FA Cup fourth-round tie at home to West Ham.
Oleg Luzhny, Joey Gudjonsson, Mark Clyde and Silas poised to fill in.

--->It's going to be a full house on Sunday, they've not been beaten at Molineux in their last 11 and they want to continue in the same vein.

                  West Ham United
--->Pardew's first priority seems to be an experienced keeper to replace James. Stephen Bywater is currently number one, with Arsenal's Shaaban the understudy.Pardew will have to make do without the suspended Jermain Defoe, while Neil Mellor is struggling, which will face David Connolly his old side.

--->It's expected 5,000-strong travelling WHU supporters.

--->Pardew aims to put a smile back on the faces of fans with a giantkilling at Molineux on Sunday.
He said: "The fans have had so much bad news this year, it would be nice to give something back. Wolves are on a high at the moment having taken four points against Manchester United and Liverpool so we'll be the underdogs. But I'm well-familiarised with them because my old club Reading played them in last season's play-offs. It will be a tremendous occasion."

--->The Hammers have been one of the most active teams in the transfer market this January, but their recent captures Andy Melville, Nigel Reo-Coker and Adam Nowland are cup tied and will not figure.

Wolves have unbeaten unbeaten run at Molineux.
WHU away record in First Division: 5-7-2

Therefore I see hear draw but I'll try AH here.

Iceland vs Czech Republic (Handball European Championship 2004) - Iceland to win with 1.42 at Unibet LOST (30-30)

Last game of Group C between teams that lost both previous games. It's not a big surprise in case of Czech team but Iceland was rated surely higher (as fourth team from last European Championship). So they must win today to reach next stage and try to improve their position a bit. Czech team isn't playing too bad so far - against Hungary it was nothing special but with hosting Slovenia it was a really good game that was lost just at the end (probably due to not so much experienced squad). But still Iceland is favourite of this game and odds like 1.42 are good IMO (it's really hard to imagine that Iceland will be last in the group losing all games).

                    Czech Republic - Hungary 25-30
                    Iceland - Slovenia 28-34
                    Hungary - Iceland 32-29
                    Slovenia - Czech Republic 37-33

Long time since posting...examns (still have)

                      Chievo - Bolognia
                      draw +198 @pinnacle Bet won, 0-0 /Per

                      taken from
Chievo are not the "big secret" they were last season when no one knew what to expect. This season they have struggled, especially at home, where they are 2-2-4, having allowed more goals then they have scored (7goals for - 11 against). Brescia are definitely worth backing here, as they have looked good in their last 5-6 games. They only lost to Milan 1-0 last week, in a game in which they held their own. Prior to that game, they had not lost in their last 5. On the road, they are 2-3-3 but if we use an Asian Handicap here that would give us a 5-3 record in our favour.
I completely agree with this one...but i don't see Brescia wining here. A draw will suit both teams. They both lost last match. I see a possible 0-0 or 1-1 (after Brescia score, Chievo equalize)
                      So...i'm on draw!

                          Anand v Sokolov 1 @ 2.50 @ Gamebookers

Anand currectly 1st after 12 rounds of Corus 2004 competition. He have 8 points , and Leko with Adams 7.5 , so , they still have chances to be 1st in the end too. Today will be last round , and Anand must to win this game , if he doesn't want any problems. In previous round he lost to Topalov , and it was realy sensation. But Sokolov did great one too , he won against Kramnik. It's realy good result for him. I hope , that today Sokolov will not give much energy to stop Anand. And Anand understand , that he need to win this one. I think , that he have some chances to do it. That's why , i think , that Anand can win this game.

                              Empoli-Juventus asian (0:1) away win@2,00 with gamebookers.

A full Juventus squad, Roma on a rampage so Juve can't afford to drop unnessecary points. Del Piero is in scoring form.
Now Empoli also need the points of course as they are 3rd from bottom now but you don't go battle down Juve just like that, especially not a Juve in good form.
Very strong away win and there's good possibility of a 2-goal margin, otherwise it's a payback and no money lost.
