    Bet at home SCAM

Let me tell you how Bet at home stole more than €4,5k deposit which would go up to more than €8k with winnings.

I placed a bet on regular season victorious division to be Pacific division and my bet was settled as loss. My bet was: Pacific Division to be Victorious in regular season 2015/2016. Let me now explain whole situation in details.

I was a regular player, betting occasionally bigger sums of money from time to time. On 22nd of March, 2016 I saw a bet offer on bet-at-home.com website that says: “NBA Victorious Division, regular season”. I was a little bit confused since I didn’t know what the bet was. I contacted their live chat support and asked them what the bet was. I want to emphasize that I did not ask them “Is that bet for which team will have most wins after regular season”, but I simply asked what the bet was, and were the playoffs included. Their employee told me in details, and confirmed twice, that it means: “From which division will be a team with most wins at the end of regular season?” He / She even gave me an example on the exact bet I placed after, and which was settled as lost. After that chat session I placed my bets.
Few weeks after regular season has ended, I contacted bet at home to see why my bet is still not settled. I was told by a supervisor that my bet had playoffs included and that it’ll be settled after playoffs end. I insisted that my bet was on regular season only, and I sent them picture of correspondence between me and their employee on chat. After that he acknowledged the mistake of their employee and told me that nonetheless my bet would be graded after the end of playoffs.
After end of playoffs I contacted them again and tried once again to explain my case and find compromise. Same day I got reply that I'll get answer tomorrow. They stalled for 3 days and I finally got an answer in which they confirm once again that mistake was made by their customer support, but that they will not be settling bet as won, and neither will they settle it as void.

So, if you want to get scammed, keep on playing with bet at home!

So, I take it Pacific Division wasn't victorious after the playoffs ? Sorry, I don't follow NBA. I wonder what lie BAH would have pulled if your bet would have been a winner even after playoffs.

Let me tell you how Bet at home stole more than €4,5k deposit which would go up to more than €8k with winnings....
On 22nd of March, 2016 I saw a bet offer on bet-at-home.com website that says: “NBA Victorious Division, regular season”.... Their employee told me in details, and confirmed twice, that it means: “From which division will be a team with most wins at the end of regular season?
On 22 March 216 the leader in NBA Golden State had 63 wins, 7 losses, and 12 more games to go. The runner up from San Antonio had on the same day 59 wins, 11 losses, and 12 games to go.

The odds on "from which division will be the team with most wins at the end of the regular season" for Golden State must have been at most 1.10 on 22 March. No way on Earth you can make 8K out of 4.5K stake on such bet, and I think you know this very well.

Yes, the customer service guy was an idiot, but unless you are falling from Mars or the Moon, there is no chance you were not aware that at this time the chances that a team from the Paicific will have most reg season wins was about 95%. So, in brief - you were hoping consciously to cheat the bookie and to profit from some mistaken odds. Which was a very naive assumption in the first place. And now u come here and cry like a baby and ask for sympathy and call the bookie a scammer...Bitch, please!

Why would it be 1.10 if there were 2 more games to be played between Spurs and Warriors? If Spurs had won those 2, Warriors could have easily dropped 2 more (look Utah 30th and Memphis on 9th).
Just to be clear, I was a bit suspicious about the odds, so I went to the customer service and asked what the bet was. I DID NOT ask: Is this bet w/o playoffs, I just asked plain what the bet was. I was told hat it's excluding playoffs (as it stated in the bet offer) and then I asked once again and guy told me an example that if GSW has most wins in reg. season, winning bet would be pacific division.
So, to sum it up, their traders made a mistake (put playoffs EXCLUDED in the bet offer), their customer support made a mistake, and in the end I, should be paying for that?
The least they should do or they should have done is to VOID the bet, as any bookmaker whose employee made a mistake would do. I don't know for how long have you been in betting industry, but I've never dealt with this kind of scam. My bets have been VOIDED numerous times, when bookmaker made a mistake (wrong odds, wrong margin, wrong team name etc.), or have they been graded at adapted odds, but never has anyone graded my bet as lost if the mistake came from their side! And I've been around for 10 years more or less.

And neither am I looking for sympathy or anything like that, I just want to point out to other players that at bet at home, they might be losing money because of someone else's mistake!

A bit suspicious - are you kidding me?! Golden state had 7 losses from 70 games at this point of the season - which is 1 loss per 10 games! What can be the chances that they make AT LEAST 4 losses in the remaining 12 games (1 loss per 3 games), while in the same time, San Antonio wins all their 12 remaining games (although statistically they lose 1 game per 5 matches). Actually, now when I think about it, you're right that it can't be 1.10....it should be at most 1.040-1.050. But you took it for 1.80-1.90 and thought it was "a bit suspicious"?! Give me a break, please!

It was so obvious that the bet was about from which division will be the champion of NBA (that's why they call it "Victorious Division). Odds of Warriors winning the thing at this stage were indeed about 1.85, which match the odds that you got. You are either completely clueless about NBA (but you said you bet a lot on NBA, so this is unlikely hypothesis), or you knew very well what you were doing and thought that you can "outsmart" the bookie. As I said - a very naive assumption. Even if you catch a bookie making such big pricing mistake, the chances that they will pay you off in the end are 0% - proven from experience. Such technical pricing errors they pay off at the odds of 1.00 eventually.

No, it doesnt work like this. Read the rules of the bookies carefully. Each bookie stipulates in their rules that they keep the right to make a bet void, if there is a large technical pricing error. Second, the customers service operators are just assistants and nothing more. They can tell you that Santa Claus exists, but their words have no legal power whatsoever.

And I still don't understand how you refuse to admit that you knew very well what you were into. This is like getting 1.90 odds on Bayern to win the title in Germany in early April and believing that "this is an honest bet".

You just basically said that I'm right, by telling that they have right to void bet if there is a large technical error.

If you are comparing this with the Bundesliga, then have it like this: It's 1st of April, Dortmund is 5 points down and (hypothetically) there is one more match to be played between these 2 teams. Bookie gives you Bayern to win league 2015/16 @ 1.90. You know it's a bit strange, so you go check on customer support and they confirm it. After end of the season, bookie doesn't pay you because they claim that it was the bet on who is going to win DFB Pokal where Bayern (again hypothetically) lost to Dortmund and settles your bet as lost. So, in bet it says that that it's to win league, customer support confirms it, but they say you should have known it's bet for DFB Pokal because time of the event was 21st of May. That's basically what BAH told me in their explanation.

But I see that you are the "know-it-all" guy who started betting a year ago and that there is no point in arguing with you.

And for your info, at the time, odds on GSW to win were between 2.20 and 2.40. And they call bet "Victorious Division excl. Playoffs", so yeah, I'll ask them if it was regular season, they'll confirm and then I'll just continue believing that it's including playoffs.

Hahaha, there is no way on Earth that GSW winning the title odds were 2.40 in March. 1.90 maximum.

Just get over it. You were trying to act like a "smart guy", but it turns out you're not that smart to believe that you can get away with this. No need to cry and pretend to be the victim, when you clearly thought you can cheat the bookie.
