Football betting terms, experts pls help!

hi, i was browing the site and came across 2 terms which i dont really understand. What do you mean by 'use the shortest priced selection' and ' odds on to win' in footballing context.

What are shortest priced selection and odds on? Examples would be of much help.

Leeds v Valencia 3.20 2.90 1.60
Bayern Munich v Man Ure 2.20 3.12 2.34

From the above examples, the shortest price selection is Valencia at 1.60. The largest price selection is Leeds at 3.20. OK?

Odds On' means that the price is less than evens (2.00). In other words, if you stake 1 unit, then you would win less than 1 unit. So from the above example, Chelsea are 'odds on' as if you bet 1 unit @ 1.60, then you would win 1.60 units which gives you .60 units profit when you have removed your original stake.
