Default Your username at BA

I open this topic because several people who i meet at BA and talk to me on msn think i am called Leo in the begining (the so called superstar  )

Ofcourse if my name was really Leo i would never call myself a superstar i am not such a arrogant person.
I actually came to this name some years ago when i was quite into horseracing and often went to a place where you could watch horses on screens and bet on them, one of the first times i went there there was a race i had a bet on and a horse called Superstar Leo 8) won the race ever since that day this name was in my head dont ask me why.
So when choosing a name for the BA forum more then 2 years ago i picked that name now that i explained mine i wonder about some others f.e George Hanson,Satyr,Macot etc etc some are less obvious then others so if you dont mind explain yours.

* Just for the record my reall name is Adi*

I have this nick to remind myself on bad and really hard times for me and that i should never forget how hard it was on the way to my todays life

better nick would be maybe Phoenix, but i dont like those birds

It's kind of a long and boring story...

It originated from the good old days in the 80's. I played a lot of video games, arcade games in those days, and once in a while when you get a big score, you were allowed to write a name in the high score list, but in the early days you were only allowed to write three characters. So I put my initials there P.L. But since I'm a champion arcade gamer (yeah, right... In my dream.) I got to write soo many high score initials, and I got tired of getting to that ".", that usually was one of the last charcters, so I started to put an "a" in there instead, PAL. And then sometimes in the 80's, it was announced that Italy was going to host the WC in 1990. As soon as that was announced, I convinced myself that I was going there to see Sweden win the WC (What a joke! ) I got crazy about everything italian, I was even going to learn to speak italian, and as those video games progressed, the number of allowed character also increased, so with this "italian" WC-dream of mine, I added the typical italian prefix "ini" to that initial PAL, thus Palini, and it's stuck there ever since.

I am no emperor in any way though i rule in my home
Looking at the avatar will give u some hint about my nick.
Yes, Ninety-five emperor is a horse that i was amazed when he ran in his 1st race at 2 years old and got 2nd place. Since then i supported him in every race. He became a legend then. He won 10 races in a row and promoted from Class 5 to Class 1 in one single year! It is my best run of my life because i supported him in every single race.
I definitely hope the run will carry on especially for me!

My favourite sport is basketball. I had to have my own idol in this game, so i've watched a lot of various games, competitions. And one day i saw him - Ray Allen. I've seen his first game and i was crazy about him. From that day he's my fav. player in NBA. So my nick isn't so hard to guess - AllenR34 - His name (Allen Ray - i've written it backwards, cause it sounded a bit better ) and number since being from the beginning of his carrier in NBA.

My nick originates from Tom Clancy's book Clear and Present Danger. At the time I registered at BA I was reading that book and Escobedo is the Colombian drug kingpin there. Nothing special, if I got to choose now I would choose something different... :?

Almanzor...

The name of one mountain in the center of Spain (Gredos Sierra), and a beautiful place to do trekking.

By the way, that mountain was named after the victorious muslim leader who defeated the Christians in the tenth century and reached Santiago de Compostela, in the very north of Spain (!)

He was cruel, no doubt about it, but neither more nor less than any other medieval warrior.

He forced some christian ****** to carry the big bells of the cathedral and take them all teh way to Granada. YEars after, when Fernando III conquered Granada, did the same with muslim ****** and brought back the bells to Santiago.

Granada is 1050 km. far from Santiago.
