Default Pick of the day 15/9

These are the most interesting games on Monday:

Leicester - Leeds (ENG)
Brann - Lillestrom (NOR)
Helsingborg - Malmö (SWE)
Elfsborg - Landskrona (SWE)
Göteborg - Enköping (SWE)
Hämeenlinna - Tampere (FIN)
Alverca - Boavista (POR)
Arminia Bielefeld - Karlsruhe (GER)

I will post my pick of the day later and it will probably come from Allsvenskan. Check the Scandinavian forum for more information as well.

I still haven't updated the picks from Saturday, but I will do it during the day.

Good luck!

I think that one of important html tags <> or " is placed wrong. Notice thet now hyperlink leads to: http://www.gamebookers.com/cgi-bin/intro.cgi?pid=3515<img src=

So probably something wrong is with this part pid=3515<img src=

Default Leeds Win.

Leicester will be without Frank Sinclair, Matt Elliott and Callum Davidson who are injured + Alan Rogers, Ricardo Scimeca and Les Ferdinand who are suspended. Keith Gillespie, Steve Howey and John Curtis are doubtful & will face late fitness tests. Leeds have no injury problems or suspensions.

This and the odds on offer make me go for the Leeds away win.

The way I read the html code behind the link I am convinced that the '<img src' part is creating the problems... you have one argument starting with '<a href' and there is no '>' ending the argument before the '<'img src'.

Most likely there have been some misfortunate cut and paste... it looks all wrong that the target and class sections are placed in the img src part.

I suggest you take the " target="_blank" class="postlink"> (include the quotation marks) and paste it directly after pid=3515. This should solve parts - if not all of the problem.

This should work if I'm correct... but maybe the background editing of these boards interferes with the code I'm posting. Anyways now the correct image appears

arttex... since your NFL-game starts in this very minute I guess you're posting in the wrong thread. Picks for tomorrow should start after 10 am if I remember the rules correctly.

Edit: Ooops my comment was naturally aimed at artnow - sorry arttex. ops:

All my first 5 picks were wrong ops: :!: .Tahoma ,you should bring in the rule which would give extra points to tipsters who miss 5 picks in a row, it's really not easy thing to do    Never mind, i don't give up, my sixth pick:

Helsingborg-Malmo 2 @ 2.22

Malmo really needs 3 points in this match to keep the title hopes, and i think they can win them.Helsingborg played this year very unstable at home and lost there 5 games! They became middle table team from the squad that had championship ambitions.Major reason for that is also first injury , and then releasing great Alvaro Santos to FC Kopenhaghen.Simply, i don't trust them, so i 'll stick to Peter Iljeh & co.

My pick today will be from EPL,

I am taking Leeds to win at half time and full time from GB @4.50, which is good value IMO.

All is said about Leicester missing key players and their poor defence, they will have a hard time defending for most of the game tonight.

Leeds had strenghtened their defence with the recruit of Roque Junior and with their forwards firing the goals, I can see a clear away win tonight.

I will personally be lumping on Leeds +0 Handicap, Good Luck !

Cheers

Leicester v. Leeds, pick x, odds 3.2

Leicester has big problems in scoring goals. Leeds has money problems but Peter Reid has managed to loan some quality players. Leeds is better team, but Leicester has home advantage. A draw is expected here. 8)

Leicester-Leeds Over 2.5 @1.85

I expect very open and offensive game from both sides. Leicester can't wait anymore for a first win, fearful days are over, and they must try to win this one with all strength they have. I do not trust in their victory, but I believe they will score.
On the other hand, Leeds is not that awful as many expected, they are playing solid and agressive football, and where they can try to find away points, if not at newcomers from Leicester. With little luck and early goal from any side, I think this can be a good bet.

Czech Gambrinus League

Slavia Prague - Banik Ostrava Home win @ 1.75

Apart from the 0-0 against Jablonec, Slavia Prague should not waste too many points at home this year. Even Ostrava, who had a brilliant start and may show some beautiful moments for the rest of the season, will not change this I guess. Even though there is no real value in this bet (with chances that Slavia wins at +/- 55% in my opinion) it is worth taking it in today's limited offer.

Leeds are a good side, now with the editions of Junior and Olembe they have strengthened their weaker lines : defence and midfield. They have a great atack force in Viduka and Smith and now a good substitute in Chapuis.. Leeds are still without a win and now they will be very eager to get a win in a injury plagued Leicester..
draw is always possible, so

Leicester City v Leeds United 0 : 0

Pick Leeds @ 1.75

Norway Eliteserie

Brann v Lillestrom, 1 @1.80

Risky bet since Norwegian league is not my expertise and it full of surprising results. On the other hand, I am on a winning roll, and I can afford to finance risky bets. 8)

After a slow start of the season, Brann are now a team on form. They havent lost for quite a while and they score many goals. On the contrary Lillestrom are on an indifferent form while they havent score for nearly a month now in league games.

In addition odds at 1.80 represent value, because other bookmakers such as WH slashed odds at 1.65 for a Brann win.

match: Leicester - Leeds Utd.
pick: X2
odds: 1.37

leeds shud nick it. the record of no draws between the 2 clubs shud be taken with a pinch of salt since it has been some time since the 2 clubs met in the premiership. let us not forget, leicester has got 1 of the most promising managers in the english game. and the fact that they shrugged off from almost falling into administration to get promoted the same season says a lot about the team as a whole. fight leicester will, but is it enough to snuff out 2 very potent strikers of leeds in smith and viduka? 3 if sakho is included. lets us not forget they could have drawn or even won chelsea, if things went their way...of course that is history. gamebookers offer X2 at 1.37...another worthwhile punt. good luck to everyone tho!

I'm not sure I olike this competition anymore
Today everyone are grabbing the bets I had in mind, and yesterday I lose a perfectly good bet to a chance goal in the 89th minute. Örgryte could easily have won the game but thanks to the closest thing Allsvenskan has to a super-sub, Olle Kullinger, Halmstad are still in the run for a top three spot.
But I already know what my "bet-of-the-week" in Allsvenskan is next weekend

Ok, today then, Leicester-Leeds, Leeds to score first goal @1,70.

Much has been said already about this game, Leeds looked like a true project earlier but they have brought in several quality players on loan and such, Viduka is still here. While Leicester has some difficulties and probably will struggle hard this year, they still have a good Div 1 squad but nothing more, and as I back Leeds to win I also have a genuine feeling they'll draw first blood.
Besides, all my other thoughts has already been taken so...

Ever heard about tip-ex mate? 8)
Ladbrokers and other bookies (I think WH too) started at 1.80...
Pame Stoixima offers Brann at 1.75, need to say more?

IFK Goteborg - Enkoping - 1 @ 1.45

Enkoping seems to be the worst team in this league. They only have 1 away win in 10 matches. On the other hand IFK needs 3 points to keep the touch with top half of the table. They don't play very convincing this season but they still are able to win this one.

And i take ;

LEEDS to win by 2 or more @4.00

Leeds are not playing the best... But sure is that they have the power.. And the last matches show that they have also the LUCK !!!

I think that LEICHESTER won't be a big trouble for them...
Anyway.. I'm sure that if i take LEEDS (-1.5) as my POD the atch will end with 1 goal difference...

I still take it...
And my score bet goes for

PENNANT to score first and 3-1 the match result !!!

Anyway.. GB took off the (-1.5) and also (0:0) offeres 2-3 minutes ago..
but i think no problem , and i can take it...

They will surely open again !!!

Let's kick emm all !!!

Leicester v Leeds
2, @2.4

Leicester boss Micky Adams will have to ring the changes against Leeds after a flurry of early-season red cards.
Alan Rogers, Ricardo Scimeca and Les Ferdinand are all suspended and Northern Ireland winger Keith Gillespie is doubtful after sustaining an ankle injury in the midweek Euro 2004 qualifier with Armenia.
Frank Sinclair, Matt Elliott and Callum Davidson are already ruled out, while John Curtis and Steve Howey (both hamstring) are battling to be fit.
Roque Junior should make his Leeds debut if he agrees to play after only flying in from international duty in South America late on Friday.
After two draws and a win so far, the mood in the Leeds camp is buoyant and Reid will be confident they can carry on in the same vein on Monday, with three more new players at his disposal.
Leicester City are unbeaten in their last six home games, but have drawn three of them. A total of 8 goals have been scored by the Foxes in those games, with 3 conceded.
Leeds Utd have an average recent record on the road, winning and losing 3 each of the last six games. The games have constituted a decent return of 16 goals for the The Whites, and 8 goals against.

Too many people are backing Leeds wictory at the end,but since Leicester likes to draw,I am choosing for my 7th pick of the day:

Leicester-Leeds United HT X @2.00

Leicester is a tough team which is hard to brake down and Leeds is not such a huge favourite in this match.
I also see Leeds close to win, because of City's missings and due to good United's recent performance, but still I am not so sure of backing Leeds so much like you guys.
Leeds is not like Arsenal or Man utd,so that we can easily pick away win on Leicester's home pitch.

In their Premiership history they never draw in Leicester and eventualy they will (one day)!

But here I am taking draw at HT,because I think that both teams will be careful not to conciede in the 1st half!

FC Hämeenlinna v Tampere Utd  1X @1.98

Both FC Hämeenlinna and Tampere Utd have a very poor form. FC Hämeenlinna has 4 straight losses while Tampere has lost the last two games in the league. The home side doesn't have a poor home record ( 4-1-3, 11:13) while Tampere is also a mediocre away team (3-3-3, 7:9)

It is time for FC Hämeenlinna to wake up and get on the winning ways because they are now only 3 points away from relegation. Tampere has not won in their last 4 away games so i will take the hosts to win this one.

Good luck!

Bielefeld v Karlsruher SC Win at HT 2.35

Bielefeld better team , more quality. Home factor is one more plus here.
Karlsruher is not a weak team but I think Bielefeld is capable to win and I believe this will happen from half time. Also AsHdcp -1 would be nice I couldn't manage to find one though.

Today's pick comes from 2nd Bundesliga...I'll take Arminia Bielefeld vs Karlsruher SC X2 @ 1.79... the visitors seem to play really well at away matches and they have scored in all games that they played for the championship and the cup session....on the other hand Arminia won only against Ahlen and has difficulty scoring...the odds for the away win are really good(so good that I am not allowed to choose them  ) but I'll cover with the draw

My pick of the day is IFK Göteborg -1 (Asian Handicap) - Enköping @ 1.85. Read my prediction here.

FiDu and Santa, thanks for trying to help, but I guess the problem isn't that easy. Take a look at the code in the post below, it seems correct, doesn't it? If you then take a look at the other POTD-threads you see the same problem!

Kako, you are welcome to join, but you didn't write the price for your pick! Please read the rules first.

artnow, I have already explained to you why your picks were disallowed!
