PSG-Lorient
PSG spent more than 100M for the summer transfert with 8 players bought (Douchez, Sirigu, Bisevac, Matuidi, Momo Sissoko, Menez, Pastore and Gameiro)
Surely they will be one of favourite to win French ligue 1 title this season , last year they were still in the race but at the end failed due to lack of experience ; tireless etc... . Probably the pressure will be high for them but i'm sure with such world class player like Menez or Pastore even Gameiro and Matuidi who already played with French National Team there won't be any problem.
Difficult to imagine Lorient to make something in Paris they lost their 3 key players , Gameiro (PSG) Amalfitano and Morel (Marseille) . Lorient will have lot of difficulties to score this season . last season the duo Gameiro-Amalfitano scored more than 75% of Lorient goals and managed to keep Lorient alive .
PSG defence is far better with super strong Sakho and experienced Bisevac + ex Palermo GK Sirigu Lorient will have difficulties to create chances .
i'm tempted by PSG to win to nil @2,20
Probable line-up :
-----------------------Sirigu------------------
---Jallet-------Bisevac------------Sakho-----Tiéné---
--------------Chantome---------Matuidi------------
----Menez---------------------------------------Néné---
-----------------Hoarau-----Gameiro--------------

What about the chances of Nice not suffering a defeat at home against Lyon?
Nice's asian +0.5 seems tempting to me at least at this very early stage of the season.
The home team practically depend on the home ground in order to avoid relegation. From what I read they have not made any impressive transfers but the players that joined the club are simply decent. On the other hand, Lyon seem to be in a completely new era. New inexperienced coach, no major transfers.
In any case, my French friends, does Lyon have 55% chance of winning? I doubt it but I would like to see your approach

Many expectations from PSG this year. I hope Gameiro will do great, still its a firs round and as any first round, everything could happen.
I took PSG to win @ 1.6 8/10
and PSG -1 @ 2.75 4/10
Marseille and Lille seems to be great bets too.

Lyon coach & president didn't want any major transfert for the simple reason that Lyon have one of the best U18 squad in Ligue 1 and some of players have been promoted to A-squad like Grenier , Novillo , Gonalons etc.. on the other hand they managed to keep key players Lisandro , Lloris , Gourcuff , Cissokho . Mensah is even back from Sunderland (loan) . I don't know if it will be the same Lyon like last year (the bad one) or the new Lyon with new young players and new coach that's why it's clear no bet for me .

Don't forget that Francis Gillot (Strong coach) left Sochaux and joined Bordeaux this summer . After a spectacular win of Marseille against Lille in Supercup i want to trust them here again
Ayew's brothers are in top form and Sochaux are nothing special away.

There is no way Sochaux winning in Marseille, lol, I'am not a fan of marseille, but I used to watch them everytime last year, and beleive me, the stadium's gonna be full, the ambiance on time.
I remember, last year Sochaux lost to Marseille at home and away there was so much difference on the level...but of course as I said on my previous post its the first round and anything could happen, but for me Marseille could take this quiet easily.

Caen
Suspended: Mbaye Niang
Injured: Grégory Tafforeau, Benjamin Morel, Sambou Yatabaré and Rajiv Van La Parra
Valenciennes
Injured: Vincent Aboubakar, Rafael and Jean-Louis Leca
Preview: Last season Caen had lots of difficulties at home because of their light and fast attack. Such attack does not do well against tight defenses, and finds it difficult to score at home. Caen lost their start player El Arabi to some Saudi side, but took a good replacement in the face of Pierre Alain Frau. The ex-Lille stricker will provide strength in the penalty area of the opposition and he is likely to score a goal here.
Valenciennes kept the backbone from last season. The team had difficulties when it came to playing away from home, but Valenciennes showed class in their counters. The bad lines away are the defense and the attack - defense is too vulnerable, while the attack is a bit too slow to cap the fast moves of the wingers.
Tip: Caen -0.25 stake 6/10

Marseille - Sochaux: Sochaux +1,25@1,91 ibc
Cannot agree with a giant move in last mins! Marseilel got a nic emorale boost with a late strange win over Lille in the cup game played in Morocco.
Ref was strange, allowed 2 late PK, 1 red etc. Lille impressed me more than Marseille who was quite happy toi win this game almost at 96th min by a PK when they were 1-3 down at the score 10 mins before the end of the game.
Still it surely bring a lot fo morale but that won't help Marseille offense to be better than it is. Sochaux changed of coach, was poor way ok blah blah but still most players are still there and i wonder how will Marseille cope with the speedy Sochaux play and this pressure to do well at home where they struggled quite a lot last season. I am agree to see potentially Marseille to win here, but more by 1 max ! My numbers cannot let this generous +1,25 offer on away with half a win even if Marseille do it by one ;o)

Brest has very good defence, still Evian can get something at Brest, hardly...On the news paper Evian-TG was talking about managing on just staying on the middle of the classement for this year, however I beleive there is value on Evian-TG +1 at 1.72 (Bwin)

@rocklegend: Brest have major problems in defence...Brou-Apanga,Kantari, Daf and Ferradj, all usual starters last season , are all injuried.Only Baysse will be on the field as central midfielder ...The three fellows will be Coulibaly(22 years )Martial(20 years) and Makonda(21 years). So a very experimental defence...
@davy: nice preview.(I feel that we ll made great things with you this season Very good bet sochaux 1.25 Imo.I m too on ajaccio (0)1.84

@dakede : Pastore won't play tonight because ....he hasn't yet officially signed... Be careful with the favourites Om and Psg for this first day.Last year, there was plenty of surprises and Marseille had lost against Caen at home...

Gratz,
I guess PSG is still the same than the last year, Loriant could have won even 0-3.

Don't panic ! it's still the beggining . We have to wait 2 , 3 games to see the real face of new PSG . Pastore and Sissoko didn't play . Sirigu don't know french language and it's pretty hard to communicate with defenders . Physically some players are not ready like Hoarau or Menez .
Very sad for fans who expected alot from this game . Luckily for PSG , Marseille and Lille failed too. But bad night for most of bettors

That because people keep betting on "name" or "transfers" instead of doing real estimation and pro work that bookies keep laughing...
How can people keep taking PSG whatever if they start -0,75 and they are later -1, people keep taking, same for Marseille etc... People seems just addicted to take somethign then they bet what seems th ebest name, best daily addiction : to score, to win nil, to don't conceed etc... But how much % do you have in mind as fair for a team to win nil, to win HT, to win, to win by 2 etc... That is the point.
Everytime a discussion or the subject of estimation and fair price etc is launched, nobody is alive, all skip the idea. It was teh case in BL 2 thread soem tiem ago when it was asked to provide estimations, same here in Rennes game thread, then in L2 etc...
I will stay away a bit imo as it just break my morale that people stay away from the only serious way to bet and win : estimate your own price (and learn how to do it ofc) and compare to the bookies ones, monitor moves etc
gl to you for the rest of the seaon
