Second Qualifying Round – FH Hafnarfjordur (ISL) vs Nacional (POR)

The difference between these two teams is just huge. It’s obvious that the Icelandic league has already started and Nacional is only starting their season now, however the difference between a semi-professional team like FH Hafnarfjordur and one of the strongest teams of the Portuguese league is just too big. Nacional will start today with 9 usual starters from last season, so they won’t have chemistry problems in they season debut match. Only their goalkeeper from last season is missing (Bracalli is now in FC Porto) and they have now Candeias, who will start today, who is coming from Portimonense. So, Nacional has basically the same team from last year and so, I don’t expect them to struggle that much in finding the rhythm in today’s match. FH Hafnarfjordur is a very poor team and I expect Nacional with Mihelic, Mateus and Candeias to absolutely tear apart the poor Icelandic team. The Portuguese team should win this match by at least two goals.

Pick: 1 unit on Nacional (-0,75) @1,99 on Pinnacle

watch out at this stage with such games, Hafnar managed to get a draw at Aston Villa last season in this stage (the 1st leg was lost at home)
this is one of the top teams in Iceland so do not underestimate, of course there should be quality gap but the advantage of already in season versus preseason should give value to AH +0.5 (2.00 B365) for home team
of course small to medium stakes as always in EL

I dont trust average portuguese teams on such kind of away games far far away from home. We can see it also in games from FC Porto, Benfica or Sporting in CL/EL. Away they are very passive and not so effective. I think its for both side clear that Nacional will win it at home clearly with minimum 2 goals difference but away when Hafnarf stays good and solid in defence and maybe find a "lucky" goal they can get a draw. Of course Nacional is favorite and they can win it 3-0 or so, but an 1-1 wouldn't suprise me so much.

Nacional scored first and they were in complete control of the game. A corner kick that could have been avoidable and FH Hafnarfjordur scored the 1-1.
