Partizan won 2:1 in Saturday match against Indjija,Cleo is in amazing form, Moreira, our best player probably will not play against Anderleht, because injury, there is a chance to be in the team, and everyone is hoping for that but really small chances. Partizan will have strong support from fans and that will be a great motivation for players. In todays newspaper, coach Stanojevic said like always that his idea is attacking football, his players must attack Anderleht from the star of game.
Our board don't want to put a pressure and they are satisfied with the EL,but the Champions League would be a real success.
Stefan Babovic sing up contract with Partizan few days ago, last two years he was player of Nantes and Feyenord.
Probably line up : Ilic - Lazevski,Krstajic,Jovanovic,Stevanovic - Tomic,Petrovic,Ilic,Smiljanic - Cleo,Ilijev

Babovic is a total mug, for God's sake we need some players in defense while board is just filing midfield with bunch of unnecessary players.

I've watched both teams play this season, at least a few times each.
Partizan definitely doesn't deserve to be set as a favorite against a team like Anderlecht, which is at least one class above them in terms of quality, form, physical condition and of course the overall level of their logistics in the club. The fans will play a major role as always when Partizan is playing at home but Anderlecht is a team that is better prepared, fitter, and has classier players.
Partizan has got at least one very bad player in each of their lines and I'm sure the Belgians will know how to take an advantage of it through their fast-paced and supertalented midfielders and strikers. I rate Partizan's chances to win here much lower than the bookies, however, I can't make any bet as the ball is round and anything is possible in this particular match due to several factors. If Partizan somehow scores early, it can turn into a goal feast and madness, but if the 0-0 scoreline remains for a bit longer than let's say 30 mins, I see Anderlecht scoring later on through some nicely-played attack and killing the game, maybe even scoring another one later on.
Simply, Partizan and their crooked president didn't even expect to be this near CL and now that they have a chance to do it, they don't have good enough players in their squad to face this test so I think Europa League will do just fine for them. If they win here, they will do it by luck and some madness created due to hot atmosphere, I will repeat, I think Partizan is overestimated and the odds should be reverse. Still, a no-bet should be the best choice.
Good luck.

Maybe I am not in a good position for an objective meaning being an Anderlecht-fan ... but let's also look at the H2H with other Belgian teams during the last 2 years .... Standard and FC Bruges won in Belgrado !!!
Partizan indeed has a weapon now in front with Cleo. On the other hand the defense of Anderlecht is strong and full of experience with Hungarian international Juhasz and Czech Mazuch. In midfield Czech international Polak may be replacing Biglia. In front we have the rising star Lukaku (on Mourinho's hotlist !) and the man in form Suarez ... and let's not forget Boussouffa
But it will be a hot night in Belgrado, possibly a draw and both to score for me

In my opinion no one should compare FCPartizan a few years ago and this one.
Now we have quite changed team than last season, and not to talk about the season before.
Defence got 3 new players;middle was always good, but now maybe to defensive if Smiljanic will be playin' and Dr.Mr. not(so one change compared to last year);attack has one change compared to last season. We can say also that the couch is almost new(and good IMO),at least when we are talkin' about the games in Europe.
I didn't watch Anderlecht this year, they probably deserve to go to group phase more than we are,but IMO they will have to do their best&and much more to succeed that, especially in Belgrade.
FCP has one player that can replace everything that Moreira was doing in the previous games, and that is for sure Sasa Ilic who can always hold FCP game on decent level.Probably the biggest problem is on goal, and maybe a little in Smiljanic&Iliev&Stevanovic (they join the team late) but others should work quite well if we are talkin' about the teamwork.
It will be a tough game,Anderlecht IMO can not get a win in Belgrade(they will probably finish a job in Belgium) and FCP will hard get a victory here,so talkin' about putting money on this game is funny&dangerous.
GO Partizan!

I do not agree with that statement about Sasa Ilic.Moreira is much faster, more creative, fighter for every ball, his absence is a huge problem for Partizan.
Smiljanic after 3 years again on JNA,hi will be strongly motivated, Ilijev also.
Babovic is mug,I agree and we need a better defance,Stevanovic out of form,Jovanovic and Lazevski low class players,Krstajic experienced but slow.
I dont think that the Partizan is favorite, but certainly we have a much stronger team than the last few years.

to compare partizan from this year and partizan from the years in which they lost against standard or brugge is ridiculous, partizan is much stronger this year and has a very good trainer also. it will be indeed a big blow if moreira isnt going to play, but for the first time after long time partizan has a very good middlefield, with ilic, tomic, smiljanic, petrovic so he can be replaced propaly. also, partizan will have big help from a full stadium knowing the grobari can make an excellent atmosphere on important games like these. but,its very important to say that anderlecht is coming from a better league with bigger budget than partizan, having some great players in their squad. in this game the chances are 50:50,so the smart thing is no bet, because this game could go easily in either way. if partizan scores first, anderlecht could go under in the great atmospehere of the grobari and it could be easily 3:0,but on the other hand,if anderlecht scores first,it will shake up the defense of partizan, which already isnt locking so great, and having in mind that partizan then have to fully atack, andelcht could score some more on counter. so,my advice is surely NO BET HERE

They are not much stronger. On the contrary. Let's analyze Partizan's positions from this year and the last few years.
Goalie before: Bozovic. A quality gk, secure, does like to stay on the goal line a lot but overall quite safe option on the goal. Sold to some Romanian club I believe.
Goalie now: Ilic. Old. Prone to mistakes. "Exhibitionist", loves to walk away from the goal and does crazy moves. Able to save some good chances, but normally he is a 'hole' on the goal and can concede the most ridiculous goals. Arrived from pathetic Borac Cacak for peanuts.
Left, right-backs before: Knezevic and Lomic. Very reliable and strong defender, also able to play as a centre-back. Disappeared for no reason. Second one sold as soon as an offer was available for him.
Left, right-backs now: Lazevski, a guy who is slow and not gifted at all. Defensively, he is pathetic, often lost in space not knowing where the ball is. Kizito, a guy from Uganda or something. Might have some quality, but physically very weak and currently long-term injured. Stevanovic, pathetic player who was kicked out from Sochaux where he was on a loan. Can't send a single decent cross. Dying after 15 mins of the game. Huge hole on the right side.
Centre-backs before: Djordjevic and Krstajic. Djordjevic mysteriously kicked out of Partizan's team. He was actually a team captain. Very good in defense, a bit old, also taking many free kicks quite well and also dangerous with headers after corner kicks.
Centre-backs now: Jovanovic and Krstajic. As you can see, Krstajic is the only good player you all probably know, but he is not getting any younger and his great experience can be quite handy against teams like HJK or Pyunik, but against Anderlecht's quality players, he will struggle bit time I'm sure. Jovanovic and his replacement Stankovic are horrible defenders, slow and clumsy, also totally inexperienced. But some manager requested them to be forced in the starting lineup even at a price of releasing the long-term team captain, much better than both Stankovic and Jovanovic combined.
Midfielders before: Moreira, Tomic, Petrovic, Fejsa, Davidov, Ilic. Of those 5 guys, only Moreira and Sasa Ilic have experience and despite the old age, they are also the only ones having quality. Petrovic is a tree, a very slow guy, who can't play decent footie due to his natural inability to move well on the field, but he has got strong back and has got to play even for the NT, where he was by the way one of the biggest jokes in the entire squad. Kind of like a black sheep. The media are always sending him to big clubs like Birmingham, West Ham, Osasuna, Zaragoza, Fiorentina, where else I don't even remember... yet he is still there, being useless and his managers frustrated. Fejsa is the same exact case, except he is injured now, so let's skip that part. Davidov also came from the same corrupted club Hajduk Kula as Fejsa, and he is 'supposed' to replace Moreira, but the guy doesn't know the football basics and all he knows is to kick the ball hard. Not much of a player you have to admit. Tomic, probably even bigger 'back' than Petrovic, I hardly see anyone buying him in the near future. So selfish, has a good shot, but nothing else, loves to dribble but is inferior to more quality players. Typical material for Russian 2nd league.
Midfielders now: All the same plus Smiljanic and Babovic who signed recently. When we know that the key player Moreira is doubtful for this game, and Babovic and Smiljanic, who are like 25 years old and had to come back to Serbia from some Feyenoord and Espanyol cause they were no longer wanted there, I think we will hardly see any quality in that line of Partizan.
Attack before: Ilic, Cleo, Diarra, Washington. Diarra stayed in Partizan for longer than 2 seasons which is unusual for foreigners, who come here just to get sold for more money, but he was so bad nobody wanted to buy him despite the fact he scored a bunch of easy goals which made him such a great striker on our grassy fields around Serbian villages, and finally some Arabs decided to take him on a loan. He of course couldn't wait. Brana Ilic was a winger, offensive-oriented, he moved to Vojvodina. Was small but chubby, bulky kind, he is better than the new acquisitions surely, but some business deal with him obviously didn't work out, so he was sent away. Washington, a 2meter tree Brazilian with afro haircut played for 300eur a month, and I have to say even that salary was too much for him and his manager. Luckily they decided to replace him with some domestic tree from the paragraph below.
Attack now: Iliev, Cleo, Mijic, Bogunovic, Scepovic, Galesic. Now all these players except old Partizan's player Iliev were brought for peanuts (now counting Cleo who is there from before). Bogunovic played cca 2 minutes in the last year's season in Cadiz, who relegated to Spanish 3rd league where he was on the loan from Partizan. And he is supposed to be one of the better players in Partizan's attack. Scepovic is some Montenegrin kid supposed to be a great talent from Partizan's youth team but so far he has been impotent and quite bad. But let's give him time, maybe he becomes a world-class striker in Serbian domestic league and gets sold to Genclerbirligi. Cleo is a good player, but not too fast and talented, still seems like he developed his game for these 3 years in Serbia and from 1-10 I would give him a 5. Not even close to be enough against a team like Anderlecht. Ivica Iliev, experience but lack of physical condition, however, it's a good move to have him there, he was brought to the squad only when the board realized Partizan will not be eliminated from Europe, which was their plan before the start of the season considering the team they had created. Probably made a cheap deal with their former player.
To conclude, Partizan's team is weaker this season. Has bad players in all lines of the team, especially on goal, defense, and midfield. Let's say they don't have bad players in the attack if only Cleo and Iliev will be playing. Then I can honestly say Partizan has 4 or 5 players who are near to be on Anderlecht's quality level. 4 Partizan's players against 11 Anderlecht's, well you try to conclude. Maybe the fans will make up for the remaining 6-7 players, one can never know.

I īm surprised with odds for UNDER/OVER. Partizan with amazing atmosphere on stadium, great fans... Anderlecht is probably better and should score more easily. 2,1 for over - why?

believe me i am following partizan since i was a little child,i know everything about this club and as you can see i am objective,i am not saying, like every other partizan fan, that we will bet anderlcht easily or something like that. but i see that you are somebody that either doesnt like partizan or the serbs. you are underastimating partizan so much giving them no credit, they were one of the few teams who won all the 4 quali-matches in the rounds before,ok,maybe the opponents were weak, but despite that, they were superior in every match. the motivation of the players is great, because they havent lost in the new season and they know that this match is the match of their life,of the life of grobari and whole serbia, knowing that since yugoslavia fell apart just one time, also partizan, played CL in 2003. and this time they have an opponent that is surely better, but is not like real madrid or manchester united. also, you didnt mentioned the great trainer stanojevic, who is IMO one of the main reasons for partizans good games. IMO anderlecht is the favourite here, but lets wait for the first match, because partizan is capable to suprise anderlcht for sure, just because they are motivated in every way, while anderlechts players are sure that they gonna win this easily,as i have read some of the interviews(suarez for example),so if they dont have the real approach for this game, they could witness a surprise here

When you say "All the same",its not the same because all players who were more than one or two years are not the same as when they began, the experience is behind them,as representative as club.
I was on the south against Indjija and I heard a story about how Moreira is not paid, and how he doesnt want to play this game but I`m convinced that this is not true.
For me,its NO BET game.Sit in a chair, take a beer and snacks and enjoy in the choreography of fans.

The second sentence is totally correct, it's not worth spending words and writing analysis here. Sit down and watch...
But with first sentence i don't agree. Even birds now that Moreira is unpaid and he won't play. That's definitely clear.
Besides, NAPRED CRNO-BELIIIIIIII

djasmu, just try reading more than 2 sentences from my previous 2 posts, and then ask questions if something is still not clear.
Vera88, if you are referring to me, better check my last year's posts about Partizan, I give credit where the credit is due. Everybody knows how much I backed Partizan last year, now it's just different, and who knows what will be in the next season... Tell me one thing I said that is not true. The fact is (refer to my last post) Partizan is weaker this season, Anderlecht is better than Partizan, Partizan's fans will try to make up for the huge disadvantages in their squad, etc... Also, try not to worry much about the current Partizan's coach, he might like to play offensive, etc, etc, but he still HAS TO listen to the managers and the board who are choosing his team for him. He is just a puppet there.
And if you are planning to base your bet on speculations such as 'Anderlecht underestimated Partizan and are already thinking they won' and stuff like that, you won't get too far in betting. Anderlecht knows who they will play against quite well, if you want me to remind you, former Partizan's player and captain Rnic even plays there and I am sure he shared all the info with the RSCA staff, so these two clubs have nothing to hide from each other. Except the fact Partizan will try to hide behind the fans, my first post in this topic stated that I think Partizan can win only if they take an advantage of the madness created by the fans, otherwise it will be hard cause they simply don't have the quality for it.
Secondly don't fall for the stories 'this is the game of the lifetime for Partizan, blah, blah'. No, it's not, I wrote that already. President Djuric has been saying their priority isn't Champions League as he planned to create a cheap team (and he did) by selling many players from the last year and not buying too many (if any) expensive players, rather some former Partizan's players at the end of their careers, or players who are not good enough to even play for Spanish Segunda or French Ligue 2 teams, in other words - garbage players, and some young kids from the peasant Serbian teams that might get sold one day. If they don't, not a biggie of course. Anyhow, the club board is stunned Partizan even got this far (even they prolly didn't expect such a beautiful draw with two amateur teams such as HJK and Pyunik), and now when they actually have a real chance for CL, they are not ready at all. But, as I said, you never know what can happen. The ball is always round, and with the crazy fans in the standings, anything is possible.

De Sutter, Lucas Biglia, Jonathan Legear, are out injured for this clash for Anderlecht. a big blow, Lukaku not in hot form, ofcourse he is a prolific when he is hot, eventually he will find his goal scoring form. I was impressed with Anderlecht when they drew Atletico Bilbao last season away from home in the Europa league, with Bilbao being a fortress at home, they secured 1-1 draw against bilbao than rampaged on home soil 4-0 , defeating bilbao 5-1 on aggregate. could be a similar case here. Boussoufa + Suarez should be too much for Partizan, if Anderlecht dont win, they know they can finish partizan at home. in any case, both teams to score is a good bet. 1-1 possible here in my opinion. if lukaku was in better form, i would be more confident Anderlecht would win.

I don't know everything about Partizan but as far as Anderlecht is concerned your analysis is spot on.
Anderlecht had very good European campaign last year and they gained a lot of experience but with the missing players and home game in hand they won't push for a win. Only Lukaku's form ain't that bad (and he's a player that doesn't need form to score), they've just a bit cautious with him because he's not fully fit yet (not injured anymore but still building up physical condition). So his impact on the game indeed will be less then usual.

@lazy a$$
what i wanted to clear with my posts is that anderlecht is not such a banker like everybody think,i will say it again, anderlecht is better than partizan, but their are many facts not to bck them up in the first game,i just want to save everybody from the mistake of backing anderlcht up for the first game with great stakes,as i said it before many times, the best thing here is no bet. cheers

After all this great talk, the odds are finally what they should be.
2.91 on Partizan makes sense, now the VALUE is on a home team. And I am jumping in and taking these 2.08 on 1 AH (0) for some medium-high stakes.
Will probably publish a preview here or on my site later on today.
Good luck all.

Partizan dnb 2.05 188bet seems a reasonable bet. It looks like Anderlecht is the better team here, they have been dominating in Belgium and looked good in recent European outings as well. But, Partizan is not that weaker imo, setting them as dogs at home is really a big underestimation. Ok, I understand Partizan has been anything but good at home in Europe in last couple of years against stronger teams, but right now they seem to have a solid team, in good form, and they know their chance of progressing depend a lot of getting an advantage at home. As usual they will get nice support from the fans which should help, but the biggest advantage of this team to recent ones in playing Eurocups should be that this Partizan team has many experienced players who won't choke under big lights and will know how to play for result against the Belgians. Big respect to Anderlecht if they can win also in BElgrade, but I believe they will be more than a happy even with a scoring draw here.

Even though i am Partizans supporter and want them to win honestly speaking is goint to be a tough game.
The only way Partizna can do smth. is by scoring an early goal which would give them lots of confidence and chance to score one or two more.
Its going to be hard for them so draw is kinda realistic.
Andrelecht is favorit no doubt.

After you analyzed Partizan squad, I would say that Anderleht is clear banker, so clear that i could put my kidney on AW.
Fortunately, i know the situation around Partizan so i will not put my kidney on RSCA win.

Knezevic IS central back. On right back position he was awful. No crossings, awful set pieces, no technique..so canīt be better on that position than Stevanovic.

He canīt be black sheep in NT, as long as there are Pantelic and Milijas. I can see pretty big hate when you talk about serbian champions, and especially when you talk about Petrovic. Is that becouse he is known as huge Partizan fan, that was for a years on stands before signed for a Partizan? Also, you forgot that he solved derby game with Red Star with goal from, arouns 40 m, right?

Key player is Ilic. If I could chose between two of them i would put Ilic in the game.

He of course couldn't wait. Brana Ilic was a winger, offensive-oriented, he moved to Vojvodina. Was small but chubby, bulky kind, he is better than the new acquisitions surely, but some business deal with him obviously didn't work out, so he was sent away.

Also spoking nonsence about Diarra. What does it all have with today game with Anderleht? Again big hate in your heart when itīs about Diara. Maybe because he raped Red Star during the last years? I canīt see how could you help our betting friends with talking rubbish about ex Partizan player..

Galesic is not attacker. Also, Mijic is not the guy that will be ever in combination for Partizan match. He is no longer considered as a Partizan player.

To conclude, hate is going out of your mouth.
Partizan is definitely stronger in this year than in last. Much better coach, and most important, clear situation in a club board. There are no more two fractions working against each other, which had a great impact in bad Partizan results in Europe competition in last year. Some people are saying that also there was a sabotage from some players in european matches. This year itīs all clear.
For me, no bet on this game. Maybe both to score would i choose if i have to choose something.
And far as you are concerned, there is no need to represent Partizan squad throw the mouth full of hate. Our betting friends could left without a kidney if they would listening your thoughts about Partizan. Often, your thoughts sound like an emotions, and when betting is about we should put our emotions aside.

Just something weird for this one.. According to my stats and estimations this match has the least chances to end in a draw !!. The average % by the bookies is 29% wheareas I make it 22% at best !! and this is the lowest % for a draw in this round..
These are my estimations
Partizan Belgrade / Anderlecht / 39-22-39
Average price on books........ 35-29-36
Good luck..

Well, like I am fan of Partizan and I will be clear and short! Partizan entered into this game as an outsider, and that is a mitigating circumstance, of course! The stadium was sold out and expected by the evil winding GROBAR! Come now is the analysis ... As for the Anderlecht can say that not a bugbear, namely three important players injured and they were the only star of which is expected Lukaku which is a great attacker, but I think that the Partizan is a lot of experienced and excellent well-known defender Mladen Krstajic .. . As for the partizan environment may have an advantage, because there is a lot of experienced players such as Sasa Ilic, Moreira (who are likely to start the match, he was injured), there is a Raca Petrovic ..... To me a lot even match, which will celebrate a victory or a minimum Partizan namely 2-1, 2-0 something like that .... Good luck
Sorry for my bad English

As a neutral fan in this one I see Anderlecht as clear favourites here, definitely to advance and most likely not to lose in Belgrade. I think in Eastern Europe, not only in Serbia, we generally overestimate atmosphere on the stadium and fans and we forget that even the biggest and passionate crowd cannot score goals. For me Anderlecht has far more quality in the team and mentally they are stronger than Partizan. They know who are they facing, what to expect from the fans and they will be ready for it. I see a low scoring game here with a slight Anderlecht advantage (0:1, 1:1 or 1:2) are the most likely scores to me
My bet is Anderlecht 0 AH @ 1.90 for medium stakes.
GL 2 all

Anderlecht is better team but you should never underestimate Partizan especially when they are playing at home...I think that Partizan wont loose this game...I even think that they will win this it depends how the game will start if they first concede it wont be good for them (like dinamo zagreb did last year in uefa league). Dinamo was better team but they conceded 2 goals from counter. I think Partizan and Dinamo are in the same rank maybe Partizan even slightly better this year...So lazy said anderlecht is banker...If we think the same definition of banker this is far from it...I say no bet but if i must make a decision i would say Partizan because of their home ground...
