Odds on HW seem a bit low, but my initial thoughts are that Hamburg will win this...
Any team info available at this stage?...it would be good to hear from our German and Belgium experts...

Difficult to say, Anderlecht has a strong year, in Belgium and in Europa. The results prove that: 0-2 victory in Dinamo Zagreb, 1-3 away at Ajax, 1-1 at Bilbao and 4-0 at home.
Romelu Lukaku is fit, so you never know what to expect.

Hmm, yes, I would probably agree that Anderlecht are having a strong season, but to be fair, I watched them against Dinamo Zagreb and they really were nothing special...also, away to Ajax, the home team had already qualified...Bilbao away is a decent result...
Hamburg have been very solid themselves despite having to deal with many injuries to key players...

Not true, Ajax played for first place in that group. Anderlecht won and got first place and seeded for next round. Ajax got Juventus eventually instead of an "easier" opponent and we all know what happened to Ajax vs Juventus. Their European season is over.
But I am not saying that RSCA therefore will get a result in Hamburg. I just stick to the facts. It's not true what you said.

I don't want to argue too much Elrio, I stated that Ajax had already qualified at that stage, which they DID and that's a fact...
You claim that Ajax wanted to clinch top spot...that's NOT a fact, that's your assumption and observation!
Anyway, that really is beside the point for this match, but I just couldn't let it go since you started talking about facts and that I was providing incorrect info which is evidently not the case...

I have watched both games from Hamburg against PSV in the previous round, and although Hamburg qualified I wasn't convinced about their play.
In the home game in Hamburg they failed to create decent chances. They managed to win 1-0 by a penalty, but in the second half PSV created a couple of great chances. However, they failed to convert them.
In the away game in Eindhoven Hamburg got outplayed in first half coming 2-0 behind. Personal errors and stupid fouls from PSV got them back in the game.
My conclusion is that Hamburg are too big favourites here and Anderlecht surely have a chance to get a result here according to their current season, their high confidence and Lukaku.
I think this will be a no bet game for me. But I see more value in Anderlecht.

I think PSV are not comparable to Anderlecht, despite what the HSV coach thinks.
HSV should win this more easily than their games against PSV imo. Still odds are a bit short.

No bet for me.
Lukaku can be a big danger for HSV.
Here in Germany we have some good talents (Badstuber , T.Müller , Marin) , but nothing real world class. So german teams always got problems when facing such wonderkids. I can remember Bremen's last clash with Bilbao where Iker Muniain came on and Bremen players just couldnt handle him.
HSV very solid team which can beat nearly everyone BUT they need very very much effort to win a game ( U saw that against PSV ).
They always need their 100% to score.
So I will skip that match.

Be careful. Anderlecht is playing very well. Lukaku scores with the eyes closed, and Legaer is a very pacy winger with great passing. Central defensive duo Juhasz-Mazuch is very strong. I saw Hamburg against PSV, Anderlecht can beat them.
If Hamburg will win, it'll be very close score.

I moreover rate PSV a bit stronger than Anderlecht, but this is not such important here. Imo HSV would play for the Bundesliga Title if they wouldn't have had such a bad luck with injuries during the season.
However, tongiht they have Petric, Berg & Ruud 100% fit. Morover, Jansen is in a perfect form right now.
Only small doubt is Boateng (well, this news is from yesterday)
Within the 2legs, it's a 50-50 game for me, as Anderlecht is really strong at home, but honestly I cannot see taking them anything out of Hamburg today. HSV has a bit problems with scoring, but they never were a scoring team lik Leverkusen, Bayern or Bremen.
I expect a 1:0/2:1 win for HSV today and a difficult 2nd leg in Anderlecht, but in the first leg I see them as clear favourites and odds are set right.
no need for such a language and try to keep this on the match itself not insulting players/ weedy

Rsca is a little better than Psv of what i have watched this season but the problem is that Anderlecht never do well against german teams(1 victory 1 draw and 8 defeats).
Moreover, Lukaku is not at 100% and if Biglia and Bouss are out too they have no chances at all.

I won't be surprised an away win here. I don't want to talk specific and comment which is possible or not, only thing ; I don't believe Hamburg in this spot. The odds are just not fair for this game my thought. I would go X2 with Anderlecht which is more confdent in overall.
3/10 Team 2 wins or draw 2.30 @ sportingbet
P.M ; This really can be a square bet. Anderlecht odds are dropping now. I may go for it 10Unit or 10/10 stakes regarding to the odds movement in one hour.

Watch out it's unsure that Boussoufa will play also for Biglia but normally Biglia will play. Boussoufa is a big ?? !!!! So watch out.
But I think Anderlecht X2 @ 2.25 is a great bet

Bousoffa is out. It's ok without him in this spot. Biglia is probable. Hamburg odss are ascending now. 1.53 to 1.60 on average in 1 hour. Incredible movement. Anderlecht odds are dropping ; 2.20 to 2.12 on average.
Final bet ; 3/10 Away win or draw 2.30

I do not know why so much talk about lukaku, i wached him against croatia nothing special, yust a talented a "BIG" kid, strong on the legs, i think his time coming for 5 to 6 years. Well, if Z roberto and Petric will be in squad that will be a diferent story and litle bit stronger hsv then fcba.

This one can go either way. Anderlecht will get chances to score for sure. They have their strongest team in the last 5 years and with Lukaku, Legaer, Boussoufa they have two fast wingers and a striker than can score with both feet. Their 4-0 win against Athletic Bilbao was very convincing.
Form will possibly be decisive, and Hamburg won just 4 out of their last 10 matches, mostly one goal difference. I think scores will be fairly low (I'm thinking 1:0, 1:1) so -2.5 and X2 Anderlecht are my guesses...
EDIT: Boussoufa will not be playing and is replaced by Kanu. Biglia is a starter.
Boussoufa has great influence in the game of Anderlecht. This is a serious blow for them while they lost a leader in the attack. Kanu has his moments but too little experience on this level.

From what u have seen it maybe looks like RSCA is better but PSV is better quality wise , even an mediocre playing Ajax in anderlecht was robbed of a win in the last seconds of the match.
The last match of HSV vs PSV they were outplayed because psv is very adept at using counter football and controlling a game.
I'm thinking a 2-0 for HSV and im going for HSV -1 @ 2.1
But who knows in euro league anything can happen

i read your posts and that of your fello belgian on this forum and i have to say
you national pride blinds you from the facts
Fact : PSV is Better than anderlecht
Fact : HSV didn't score 2 lucky goals ... they forced the goals if anything the "lucky" goals was the altough beatifull free kick of leguar
i can see anderlecht get a draw at best or they have to catch hsv on a off day
il take HSV DNB @ 2.16 anyday stake : 1.000.000/10
