Wales-Germany - WC qualifier, 4/1
Wales - Deutschland 01.04.09 20:45 7,20 4,00 1,40
bet@home
Wales lost 2-0 at home on Saturday to Finland. However, it is still in contention with 6 points, 3 behind second place Russia on 9. Germany beat Liechtenstein 4-0 to hold on to top spot on 13 points. The Germans seem clear favourite but we shouldn't jump to conclusions. Though Germany is way better than Finland the Welsh are likely to do everything to avoid a second loss in front of their fans within four days and go into this match more motivated and keen to suprise the Euro 08 runners-up. I'm considering 1x at 2,6. 1,40 for AW is too low anyway.

NB for me ...... German played a drape game with Liechtenstein more like a training game. Wales absolutely bad with Finland where the look like the away side with Finland do most of the attacking. Mentality of germans the most important factor but this group of welsh wun achieve much.

German coach Löw said in interview that his team will face a totally defesive-minded opponent for sure. So we won´t see many goals here.
Wales can´t score:
28/03-09 Wales vs. Finnland 0:2
11/02-09 Polen vs. Wales 1:0
19/11-08 Dänemark vs. Wales 0:1
15/10-08 Deutschland vs. Wales 1:0
11/10-08 Wales vs. Liechtenstein 2:0
10/09-08 Russland vs. Wales 2:1
and Germany won´t score more than 1-2 goals vs. the Welsh-Defensive.
H2H - all were under:
15/10-08 Deutschland vs. Wales 1:0
21/11-07 Deutschland vs. Wales 0:0
08/09-07 Wales vs. Deutschland 0:2
My prediction here is a clear UNDER without many goals, and the DRAW,
maybe even a 0-0.
Btw., Wales didn´t DRAW in their qualification and friendlies for a long time...
so CS 0-0 and 1-1 are surely worth a try also.

I was in Wales supporting Finland and although I was a little drunk in the audience I must say that Wales were so damn poor. Finland could have scored a couple of more goals and Wales did not look like they were going to equalize after Finland scored 0-1. Wales has now lost all hopes to qualify, Bellamy is not 100% and is very frustrated, the team spirit is not good. It is sad how bad things look for Wales now. Germany should really win this game very easily. Odds are not great though but -1 or something for Germany looks a banker. Final result something like 0-3. Sure Wales might be defense oriented but Finland with 38 year old Litmanen easily teared apart Welsh defense so it should be not so difficult for the Germans to score a couple of goals.

Wales were awful on saturday.A lot ball possesion but could not create much against a solid finnish side. This game could be very different.Germans are huge favourites and that will suit Wales more.More importnant is that Germany will controll this game or at least try.also Germany are very wounderable at the back.Totally different game to be expected and there is no doubt that Wales are better when team attacks them rather when team come to defend and do counter attacks.I do not rate Germany very high but in terms of quality they are confirmed favourites before KO.Wales need to be at their very best to acchive a positive result but this German side has weaknesses so there is possibilities for a surprise. With a possible up set in mind 1.40 for a German win should not even worth to be mentioned.I am well aware this could end in a easy win for Germany.I am also sure about Wales can do a full 90 minute battle at home against this overrated German side.
Probable teams:
Wales: Wayne Hennessey; Chris Gunter, James Collins, Lewin Nyatanga, Gareth Bale; Simon Davies, Carl Fletcher, Aaron Ramsey, Joe Ledley, Jason Koumas; Craig Bellamy.
Germany: Robert Enke, Andreas Beck, Philipp Lahm, Per Mertesacker, Serdar Tasci; Marcell Jansen, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Thomas Hitzlsperger, Michael Ballack; Lukas Podolski, Mario Gomez.
With the lack of consistance i did not consider Wales +1.You feel is all or nothing with this team.Could easily lose 0-3 ...Day form.No silly mistakes and all players on top of their game and a win is very possible
Wales 8 expekt Stake something in between 4,6/10

Wales captain Craig Bellamy is understood to be a major doubt for Wednesday night's 2010 World Cup qualifier against Germany in Cardiff. The Manchester City striker is thought to have picked up an injury in Saturday's 2-0 home loss to Finland.
Germany playmaker Bastian Schweinsteiger has recovered from a groin injury but striker Miroslav Klose is out with an ankle problem.
Wayne Hennessey (Wolves), Boaz Myhill (Hull), Lewis Price (Derby County), Gareth Bale (Tottenham), James Collins (West Ham), Chris Gunter (Nottingham Forest), Lewin Nyatanga (Derby), Sam Ricketts (Hull), Ashley Williams (Swansea), Simon Davies (Fulham), David Edwards (Wolves), Carl Fletcher (Plymouth), Owain Tudur Jones (Swindon), Jason Koumas (Wigan), Joe Ledley (Cardiff), Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal), Carl Robinson (Toronto), Craig Bellamy (Manchester City), David Cotterill (Sheffield United), Robert Earnshaw (Nottingham Forest), Ched Evans (Manchester City), Sam Vokes (Wolves).
Germany's squad to face Wales:
Robert Enke (Hannover), Tim Wiese (Werder Bremen), Andreas Beck (Hoffenheim), Andreas Hinkel (Celtic), Philipp Lahm (Bayern Munich), Per Mertesacker (Werder Bremen), Marcel Schäfer (Wolfsburg), Serdar Tasci (Stuttgart), Heiko Westermann (FC Schalke), Michael Ballack (Chelsea), Thomas Hitzlsperger (Stuttgart), Marcell Jansen (Hamburg), Marko Marin (Borussia Mönchengladbach), Simon Rolfes (Bayer 04 Leverkusen), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich), Piotr Trochowski (Hamburg), Mario Gomez (Stuttgart), Patrick Helmes (Bayer 04 Leverkusen), Stefan Kießling (Bayer 04 Leverkusen), Lukas Podolski (Bayern Munich).
