2009-02-14 S****horpe (-0.75) - Bristol Rovers by: Smeu (14-02-2009 03:22 CET)
S****horpe is in hunt for another win in their attempt to grab the 2nd place.
They are 4th right now with 4 points less than 2nd Milton Keynes but 1 less game. They are in a very good run, winning their last 3 games and 4 out of 5 this year. They lost at Crewe(2-3) after leading 2-1in the 70th minute and conceeding in the injury time. But they got over that, their recent results are more than good and today they will try to keep it that way. Thomson is back for them which is a big boost but most likely he will be benched.Williams,Milne and May are out though but they are not that important. Striker Gary Hooper is in excellent form scoring the 2 goals from S****horpe's win over Millwall and the team's chemistry looks better than ever.Adkins declared that the athmosphere in the locker room is very good and they are looking forward to win as many matches as they can.
The Rovers will have a very tough mission for this game, mainly due the fact that striker Richard Lambert is likely not to play. Lambert is Bristol's best striker at the moment and without him they look lost in front. Also important midfielder Hughes broke his arm in training but will still be on the field wearing a special cast. Though he can't give 100% as usual. Bristol is 15th right now, a bit far from worries and should be able to play without any pressure.Southend just ended their 4games undefeated streak winning with 1-0 on 31st of January.Coach Trollope is aware that it is a very hard game for his men but with a flawless defensive game Bristol can achieve something.
Both teams are rested and fresh, S****horpe will put a decent pressure no doubt and they will find the way to the net. I doubt Bristol can score here and depending of when will S****horpe score we can see a trash here. Also S****horpe won the first match in November, 2-1(when Lambert scored for Bristol).

2009-02-14 Leicester - Swindon - under1 first half by: Smeu (14-02-2009 03:24 CET)
A match between leader Leicester versus a Swindon team who battles for avoiding relegation.
Leiecester City is still very confortable on the first place with 11 points more than 2nd Milton Keynes and 15 more than Peterborough which is 3rd( 1st 2 places directly promote to Championship ). But they show signs of relaxation right now even though there are still a lot of matches to be played. Their last 2 home matches both ended 0-0 against Oldham and Brighton. They have some problems when the visiting teams come here to defend and it should be the case today too. They will have no injury worries for this match, most likely they will field the same team which played against Oldham (0-0) and with no worries and a big advance in front of M.Keynes they should be relaxed and probably not at their maximum potential.
Swindon doesnt feel the heat yet but they are not very far either.1 more point than Leyton which is 21st ( last spot which goes to League 2 ) but 3 less games. They will have a very hard mission today against Leicester but with a good performance they can keep it tight and take at least 1 point.Swindon also comes from a 0-0 against Oldham 2 weeks ago, their last week match being posponed. From Danny Wilson's words regarding this match it is undersandable that they will be very satisfied with 1 point and will play a defensive match. They will have striker Pea**** added to the injury list where we can already find Corr and Aljofree (these 2 are out all season ).
The 1st half will find Swindon in defence and Leicester attacking. It is very likely though too see a 0-0 at HT as the hosts can't seem to find the net lately or even so with 1 goal scored it will be a void bet. And there is a good value in these odds!

2009-02-14 Brighton - Carlisle by: Smeu (14-02-2009 03:25 CET)
A very important match for the hosts today in their attempt to survive in League1.
Brighton is just above the line with 1 point more than Leyton but 2 less games. This is their 3rd home match in a row, after 2-1against Hartlepool and 2-4 against Peterborough. This would be just a bet on the home side but they still cannot be trusted as they cannot appear on their best line-up. Midfielder Birchall is back but they still can't count on Whing, Murray and Hart. In their last match against Peterborough they showed a good offensive power but they conceeded 4 goals as you can see. They have one of the worst defences in the league, especially at home. But for this match coach Adams said he is likely to field the same team as in their last match because they are improving and counting more on the attacking force.
Carlisle on the other side has 5 points more than Brighton but from 29matches ( Brighton has 28) and a loss today will bring them very close to the red zone. They are in a bad run though, only taking 2 points from their last 4 encounters. And same as Brighton, they have a weak defense, conceeding 6 goals in their last 2 away fixtures and scoring 3. Kavanagh is back for them after missing the last match due a suspension but they still can't count on Livesey, Smith and Bridge-Wilikinson.
This bet totally depends of the interval of the first goal as Carlisle won't force at the begining. Brighton needs this win so I expect them to start in full offense and if the break-through is in the 1st half then it will be at least 3 goals.
