Has been changed. First game in Sofia on the 16th 21,30 CET.
The match will be played on CSKA's stad which doesn't change anything as Loko Sf together with SLavia and Litex are the teams in Bulgaria with the smallest number of suporters.
More info next week.
Cheers

I really need to know what team is Otelul, cause I don't like how Lokomotiv looks.
I think this season they will be weaker than the last.
Even in friendlies Loko didn't impressed - yes they made 0:0 against Valencia, but they played for 0:0 in this game.
More info to come, but I need help from romanian friends.

3rd team from Bulgaria against the 5th team from Romania last year. Otelul Galati is a very unpredictable team. After they beat Trabzonspor twice in Intertoto, they accumulated only 3 points in the championship in 3 matches. Their sponsor is the world's largest steel producer by volume company, Mittal Steel from India, but they didn't invest a lot of money in transfers. They only guarantee the 4 million of euros budget. So it's not so much money. They didn't spend a lot of money on transfers, they brought cheap players with a good game. They brought 2 international players, the Lithuanian GK Gribauskas and the central defender Zhivko Zhelev, one of the best player from Litex Lovech. They already had Salif Nogo, an Afrikan central defender who is only 19, Kim Gil-Sik a brilliant shooter from Korea and some other Romanian midfielders with good stamina, Paraschiv and Szekely. Their best striker is the tall player Jula.
Lokomotiv Sofia is a team who is as good as the other teams from the capital. They are hard to be beaten at home, so that's why I will wait the 2nd leg to bet on Otelul. So NO BET for me!

It is true that this year Loko is supposed to be a little bit weaker than the previous one, mostly because they will miss a lot theis best striker Tzvetan Genkov (sold to Dinamo Moscow). but they were very clever at the transfer marker buying two of the stars of Loko Plovdvi (which were in a big finance crise) - Hristo Zlatinski (a good for bulgarian standarts midfielder) and Zoran Baldovaliev (macedonian striker who scored in almost every game of Loko pld in the second half of the championship) these to players among with Dobrev,Dafchev and Karadjinov or more than capable to score goals, so i think Loko Sf will not miss so much Genkov. They also have e pretty good deffence (again i will say for bulgarian standarts) and one of the best GK playing in Bulgaria...
So as i know for Loko Sofia i used to go for a home win,but... i have to say that i have absolutely NO idea wath kind of team is Otelul... they really surprised my beating twice trabzospor, so i can not be so sure in a HM, but im almost sure that everything will be decide in the second leg...
so a small HW for me is the best pick... correct score 1-0 or 2-1
for those who are looking for safer bets 1x is absolutelu sure for me... i can not see Loko loosing the game in Sofia
GL
3-1 FINAL SCORE

Disagree. They will miss him badly IMO, because Genkov was the man who made the difference in the important games last year. His replacements - Dzilas, Baldovaliev - are different class. Head coach Grozdanov keeps mentioning that two times a day (don't forget we lost our best player, he said yesterday on the press briefing).
Lokomotiv got their 3-rd place last year mostly thanks to endless winning streak vs weak opponents (there were preserving rumours they were buying those games), otherwise they lost 3-5 and 0-3 to champions Levski and managed 1-1 and 1-4 vs second-placed CSKA.
That's why I'm not really optimistic about this game. Otelul is a mediocre team by romanian standarts but are in good mood after finishing off Trabzonspor in the Intertoto cup. So it looks like a DRAW to me.
By the way bulgarian defender Zhivko Zhelev won't play for Otelul as he's suspended. Don't think that's too much of a loss though. He could score goals sometimes, but he's unreliable at defence, slow moving and slow thinking.

Absolutely no chance here for Lokomotiv. Lokomotiv is mediocre team. UEFA Cup is not Bulgarian Premier League where the boss of Loko can buy referees. Loko struggles last year against small club from Macedonia and now without their "star" Genkov, who became Top Goalscorer of Bulgarian Premier League last year and was sold to Dinamo Moscow, I can't see them having any chances against solid team like Ocelul. Great value on 2X. Loko's boss Gigov cannot buy this referee so his team will be out of the competition. It's crystal clear for me. Also interesting fact is that Genkov became Top Goalscorer mainly against the joke-team Chernomorec Burgas (Sofia).

p.p. ROMANZ mate you obviously are not acquainted with Ocelul and with Romanian football. They are not mediocre team. Yes, they are weaker than Bucurest trio and Cluj, but are better than other teams...

Pretty nice game from Loko till Otelul's goal...
than they managed to score one more time, but after this, till the end of the game Loko were very lucky cause Otelul made 4 really BIG misses... but after all the score is good and money won

Otelul managed to take 3 goals from an average team. Fantastic! Otelul had 4 or 5 huge ocasions of goal .. I don't know what to say, maybe they will win in the 2nd leg, but is is hard ...
