TV clash of the titans - a game for the first place in the table of the Czech hockey league. Liberec lost their last home game to Trinec 0:1 - the first game they lost in the new hall in the basic part of the Czech hockey league. Budejovice, on the other hand lost last two matches and in the regular time they have not won 5 consecutive matches. Jandac, trainer of Ceske Budejovice says his team has to improve power plays and mainly defence. Defence will be of a special importance today, as Budejovice will miss several players. The players will have to help Turek a lot, bearing in mind the agressive style of play of Liberec in their home arena.
On the other there will be Hnilicka, with 94,63 percent of saves and 1,84 goals per a match the best goalie of the league. The trainer of Liberec, Josef Palecek, was unsatisfied with the starts to the last games. Liberec always had to settle opponnents' advantage in the last three home games against Sparta, Karlovy Vary and Trinec. Therefore I suppose they will start the game carefully, with an emphasis on defence. Liberec with full squad, only defender Cutta (who played for the national team at Karjala) is questionnable. Moravec comming back after an injury.
Both these teams have to play 3 matches in the forthcomming 4 days - pretty tough schedule. Therefore I think they will try to spare some power for the matches to come.
All in all, tough, defensive match with not many goals, IMO.
