1) Opening Topics - Each tournament will have a thread in which we will post our predictions for the whole week. It will look like this:
Bettingadvice Forum Index -> Tennis -> ATP Chennai Open | 05-11 January
Bettingadvice Forum Index -> Tennis -> WTA Brisbane Open | 05-11 January
The reason is that we should focus on each tournament separately and to keep the posts in proper threads. One thread per tournament is enough, especially when it comes to the smaller tournaments. We want to keep all posts in one place. Earlier - when there were threads separated by days - there were problems, as there were many posts in the first rounds and only one-two posts per day in the later stages of tournaments.
This applies both to ATP and WTA
Different situation will be with Grand Slam tournaments. In GS we will have topics divided into rounds. F.e.
Bettingadvice Forum Index -> Tennis -> ATP Australian Open | 2nd round
This is to make the navigation easier, as the schedule in Grand Slams is more complicated and we always had problems with submitting the correct match into correct date. Now when we have to connect it with proper round - it should be easier.
If you open the thread - please do it in the way I mentioned above. Of course nothing happens if you do it different way, but we serve the right to edit the thread title and/or copy your post into the proper thread.
This is just to keep the forum clean and easy to navigate
If you have some ideas/comments/questions - you can always ask by PM. When it comes to tennis section - you can send a PM to me, latso or any other moderator.
2) Posting
a) Picks - should be published in following form:
- Players
- Pick
- Bookmaker
- Prediction
The prediction part is the most important change here, because picks without explanations will not be tolerated. It would be nice to see the bookmaker, odds and stake in your tip, but it's not necessary - a good prediction is the key. Your reasoning can have one sentence as well as four pages of A4 format.
- we had some discussion lately is it good if a member writes only "Davydenko will win today!" and Davydenko wins.
Maybe, but not on this forum.
There are dozens of other forums who highly appreciate such picks, this one is not among them.
- you don't have to write a book about your pick, just state in a few sentences explaining the reasons for betting on it. Any valuable info, stats, trends, thoughts are highly welcome.
If you do not have any reason, and are betting just for fun(or with your "feeling", or a friend told you what to bet, and you have no reason for it), save your (and our) time - do not post anything, at least not in the daily topics.
b) Comments - You can comment, ask questions, celebrate your win, of course without foul language and useless malicious comments.
3) Advertising - From now on, advertising (for paysites and free sites) is highly prohibited in any subforums outside Tips Websites subforum.
- before posting your picks or opening a topic there, read the Rules for posting on Tips Websites first.
- all members and payservices are welcome to post their picks in the daily threads in sport subforums, but only according to the rules.
4) Please follow the rules - Or your post/topic will be deleted, and you will be notified about it. Continue breaking the rules, and you are facing a ban. However, I hope it will not come to that, as everybody can easily make a few changes to keep the level of this forum high, as it has been so far.
