Flensburg - Braunschweig II
Finally Flensburg is able to restart after a winterbreak of more than 100 days! Loads of Flensburg games had to be postponed because of low temperatures, so now the team from the Danish border has to play 16 games within 53 days till end of regular season in mid May, which is absolutely insane for Regionalliga standards. At least coach Jurgeleit has almost full squad available, so he can do some helpful rotation in upcoming weeks. Best possible starting lineup should enter the pitch of "Manfred-Werner-Stadion" in this first game in 2018 and the team is highly motivated to keep the pace of HSV II and Wolfsburg II at the top. - Braunschweig's youngsters already played 4 games after the break (1-3-0, 5:4). Overall they play another decent midtable-season with not much worries. Coach did focus on improving the defense in winter prep. Kolgeci (cdf) returns from suspension and there are no new serious missings. - Hosts got an almost flawless h2h record vs Braunschweig II (8-1-0, 16:4). That lone draw was a 2:2 one year ago, when Flensburg was leading 2:0, controlling the game easily till 2nd half when they played lacklustre and allowed the opponent to equalize, but also had bad luck hitting post afterwards... I trust Flensburg to take 3 points today. Individual quality is on side of the hosts and fatigue or rotation are no issue yet.

Wegberg - Wuppertal
Hosts played two awaygames so far in 2018, conceding 5 goals in both of them. So defense is struggling, but on the other hand they created quite some chances upfront and could've scored more than 3 goals in those two games. I don't think they will change the approach now when returning home to Waldstadion. - Wuppertal is coming off a well-deserved 1:1 at tableleader Viktoria and that game could've seen some more goals as well! Boss of defense Schmetz is injured. - I expected to see a 3,0 total line, so offered 2,75 seems valuable to me.
Over 2,75 @2,01 sbo (2/10)

Bonn - Köln II
BSC played a very solid 16/17 RL season after promotion and 17/18 seasonstart wasn't too bad either, but then they hit a poor run in Sept/Oct which let them drop in the rankings. Now they are in the dangerzone and need points for survival. Last two games were lost, but the performance vs BMG II four days ago was quite ok and they only lost 2:3 by irregular goal in IT. - Köln II did look like clear relegation material after 11 rounds (only 5 pts, very poor performances, drama with assistant coach, headcoach Helmes resigned,...), but then found some form under coach Pawlak, especially regarding attack. This seems to continue after winterbreak and meanwhile the team even left the relegation ranks. Defense is still leaky though and I think we can expect another game with some goals in it here.
Over 3,0 @2,08 pin (2/10)

Oberhausen - Rödinghausen
After refusing to apply for 3.Liga licence in past couple of years, RWO decided to do it in this season, but competition is hard and right now it looks like financial heavyweights Viktoria and KFC will fight for the promotion playoff spot till the end. However, Oberhausen came out of the wintersleep with guns blazing, winning all 3 leaguegames so far with convincing performances and additionally advancing to regional cup semi by beating KFC 2:0 away. - Rödinghausen on the other hand is slumping. They already ended 2017 in a bad way and restart didn't look any better as they lost 0:1 at home vs Wuppertal. Coach Nijhuis has to deal with quite some missings due to injuries... - Homestrong, in-form RWO should be too much for depleted, struggling Rödinghausen right now and I actually wonder why line is just -0,5. Over seems like a valuable choice as well.
Oberhausen -0,5 @2,08 pin (4/10)

Well, RL West was no fun at all yesterday evening.

Two scoreless games when backing overs... Nice
Chances have been there, but ball just didn't want to hit the net. Some shots cleared off the line, good gk performances and poor finishing.

Oberhausen - Rödinghausen 2:4
Rödinghausen leading 3:1 at ht was a joke. RWO clearly better team but unefficient while Rödinghausen scored. Visitors then on eyelevel in 2nd half thx to new-built confidence.

ps:
3 more Wednesday games postponed so far:
Rehden - Norderstedt
Lok Leipzig - Nordhausen
Altglienicke - Hertha II
