I don't understand why Ludogorets is such underdog here. This is the same team from previous seasons minus Jonathan Cafu (who went to Bordeaux). They have so much more experience than Basaksehir in Europe, and they enjoy playing away games.

Ludogorets changed their coach and hired Dimitar Dimitrov - experienced manager with long career in Kazakhstan league.

I follow Basaksehir and know they are a good team, but experience matters a lot in Europe and they don't have it. And seeing how other Turkish teams failed horribly in Europe this season, I would not rate any Turkish team as such favorite vs Ludogorets.

    Ludogorets+1AH @ 1.75 is no brainer.

IMO that is a good one for Istanbul + BTS. Odds are around 4.00 (5/1) . I will write a more detailed post before the match, but generally Ludogorets looks weakened and in my opinion is not the right manager for their style. I might be wrong but only time can tell. However, Ludogorets enjoy attacking football and we may have open match here...

Ludo might be weakened (not sure about that - time will tell), but I disagree about the "attacking approach". Imo, this game more likely will be very tight. Ludo in away games in Europe do not open up much, and Dimitar Dimitrov is also not known as being very attacking minded manager.

Basaksehir is also a team which likes to keep possession and not rush their game too much. They are not a team which will try quick penetration and risky passes, which would give the opponent chance to counter. Safety first is the philosophy of their manager.

Actually, I think Basaksehir and Ludogorets have very similar playing styles. Two very good counter-attacking teams. No wonder why they got good results in away games.

My personal feeling about this one is a 1:1 draw.

I expect Ludogorets to play defensive minded and to wait on counter chances (they have alomst perfect counterattacking style).
This season Ludogorets will have problems. The team needs refreshment as they look weaker than last season. Ludo doesn't look good in defence, they make mistakes every single game. With Ceseru in front they still have enough quality even after they sold Kafu. Marcelinho is suspended for this game and this could be a problem for team creativity. Marcelinho is team leader and very important player.
I don't think that Dimitrov is the right coach for european adventures. He has bad stats in Europe with some famous failures.
I have watched Istanbul only once - away game against Sevilla and they deserved to win this game but wasn't lucky enough. I think that if Istanbul plays the same way as the game against Sevilla they should win the game with Ludogorets.

I think Marcelinho's suspension was two games and ends after the EL playoffs...

PP: My bad, he will travel with the squad although he's suspended.

Basaksehir is in their top form and best playing team in Turkey by the beginning of the season.

They improved the squad a lot considering last season and it would not be a surprise if they win. Home + BTS @4 is an abaolutely high odd.

Okay guys, two picks from me.
Initially their (Ludogorets) flight from Varna to Istanbul had to be on Wednesday morning but has been delayed for a few hours due to technical issues. The entire Ludogorets crew had to wait for more than five hours (still waiting in the moment I'm typing here, hope they have a save flight) on the airport and one of them was playmaker Marcelinho, who travels with the squad even if he still serves a suspension. His absence is a huge blow for the away side and Dimitar Dimitrov must look for an alternative of his best player. Won't be surprised if he changes formation to a 4-3-3 ... Maybe he can play a starting CM trio Dyakov/GĂłralski/Anicet (Lucas Sasha is also an option, although he can start as a right-back as well).
After selling Jonathan Cafu to Bordeaux, Ludogorets lost one of its attacking players and the club failed to find a new one. Another Brazilian JoĂŁo Paulo, who joined Ludogorets last winter, was the one expected to improve their attacking opportunities but so far he has been far from the anticipated contribution. Another good reason why "Hero" (Dimitar Dimitrov) will most likely change formation.
As it comes to the hosts - there were some bad news after the Istanbul derby and they are related with defensive midfielder Mahmut Tekdemir who had fracture in his right wrist. He will most likely miss out opening Europa League game, but good news are that Marcio Mossoro, who missed the league game on Saturday, is ready to return in the lineup. (reports according to some Turkish websites) Anyway, Takdemir should be replaced by Gökhan Inler who seems the favourite to start as a central midfield partner of veteran-captain Emre Belözoglu.

Istanbul Basaksehir will be extremely motivated and eager to present themselves as any Turkish club playing in Europe. That is something exclusively common, especially in the home games, so there is no surprise why the Istanbul outfit is considered for a clear favourite. Not only because of all quality players in the roster, but for the home advantage and typical motivation we shall expect.
On the other hand Ludogorets can be good when they play the role of an underdog and even far from their best days, they can still score, at least once I believe.

                Possible squads:

Istanbul Basaksehir: Volkan Babacan, Gaël Clichy, Joseph Attamah, Alexandru Epureanu, Júnior Caiçara, Emre Belözoglu, Gökhan Inler, Eljero Elia, Marcio Mossoro, Edin Visca, Emmanuel Adebayor. (4-2-3-1)

Ludogorets: Jorge Broun, Cicinho, Cosmin Moti, Igor Plastun, Natanael, Jacek Goralski, Svetoslav Dyakov, Anicet, Virgil Misidjan, Claudiu Keseru, Wanderson. (4-3-3)

More about the game for all interested: Istanbul Basaksehir vs Ludogorets

Pick 1: Both teams to score & Over 2.5 Goals
                Odds: 2.75 @ Bet365
                Stake: (4/10)

Pick 2: Istanbul Basaksehir To Win and Both teams to score
                Odds: 4.00 @ Bet365
                Stake: (3/10)

                Good luck!

According to a Bulgarian website (blitz.bg), Virgil Misidjan did not fly to Istanbul with the Ludogorets squad.

                    That's right: http://www.dnevnik.bg/sport/2017/09/...s_istanbul_bb/

Vura (Misidjan) is not injured, neither suspended. Rumours are he can be either transferred or still negotiates for a new contract. Anyway, this makes the 4-3-3 formation even more likely and it leaves Ludogorets with Jody Lukoki, Joao Paulo as available right wingers.

After reading the opinions of others, I changed my view regarding goals in this one. Basaksehir should be very confident and in shape, which means they most likely play high tempo and take more risks. Ludogorets will respond to such game attitude and won't just sit back. Odds on goals are very delicious.

Basaksehir are a decent team. I may say they are the 2nd best Turkish team after Besiktas at the moment. They defeated Fenerbahce in Istanbul last week, I was in the stadium. Fenerbahce looked better in some parts but it was because Basaksehir took the lead early. They tried to hold it. After Fener made it 2-2, Basaksehir started to dominate the game again. They had three chances in the last 5 minutes and the last one was the winning goal. I think Basaksehir can fight for the title again this season. They will end the season in top 3 position, in my opinion.

However, I don't know how much they will be motivated here. I should say Basaksehir are a 'company team', like many England Premier League clubs. And the owners plan to sell the club to a rich foreign owner. Therefore, they may want to get good results in Europe to make their name known in Europe. Coach says they are extremely motivated in Europe but I am not sure about the players. They had a famous victory in the league and they have a tough game against Trabzonspor in the league at the weekend. Still, they have squad depth in some positions. But, I would not bet on Basaksehir here.

I will not have a pre-game bet for this match. If I had a gun to my head and had to choose a bet here, I would go for Ludogorets +1 AH @1.78 SBOBET.

I picked 1X+BTTS @2.41 for that match. This market is in a local Turkish bookie.

But I am sure that we will see BTTS and probably overs if Ludogorets still keeps attacking ability they had last year.

Weakest side of Basaksehir is their central defences.

Mahmut won't play and their central midfield will change as well.

In the other hand their attacking line is enourmous supported with winger backs.

BTTS is a good choice. I may recommend BTTS + 2.5o as well but I need to confirm if Ludogorets is still capable of scoring as they did last year.

On this one I wouldn't rely on experience in Europe. I saw Ludo playig under the new coach and I'm not impressed.
On the other hand Istanbul have some experienced names in their squad. I saw what they are capable of against Sevilla.

                            So I would go with Istanbul + over 2.5 @2.75 bet365

Bulgarian media (sportal) suggest that Ludogorets will play 4-2-3-1 and Anicet will start behind the striker (AMC). As much as I remember Anicet was an attacking player when he came in Bulgaria a few years ago and he was in Chernomorets Burgas. Can't remember who was his first coach back then... could it be Dimitar Dimitrov again (current Ludogorets coach) or it was Balakov?
