Default A-League 18-19 March 17

Melbourne City vs Newcastle Jets

Both teams have plenty to play for.
For City the stakes are huge, as they play for the third spot now, which means home elimination final in the play-offs, a good chance at attacking the title and playing in Asia Champions League.

For the Jets it's about the last play-off spot. Four teams fight for it and the Jets are 3 points behind.

These two teams met two times this season, each winning their home game 2-1.

City have been quite inconsistent and while they have huge attacking power, their defence leaks too.
Worthy of note is that City is the team that scored the most goals in the first half (24).

The Jets have a powerful attacking duo in Hoole and Nabbout, and they do score goals.

Bet 1: City win and BTTS @2.62
Bet 2: 1st Half over 1.5 goals @2.10 (alternatively over 1.25 goals @1.82)

Only this game left for over 2.5 4-game acca to come in. Did not watch the 1st half, but Melbourne's Twitter account says no good chances after first half goal. Let's hope for different second half. On paper it should be 3-4 goals in this match. Hope that my bad bet streak ends here.

BTW, over 2.5 goals now @1.75.

It was a horrible game until Newcastle opened themselves up after 60 min. That's why live betting in this league is a much better option. Over 2 was 1.80 around 60 min.

Strange things happening to me.
Santos a couple days ago and now Melbourne, but luckily they converted those lucky changes that Newcastle gave them.

Stake: 10/10
Analysis:
A solid day today, although Polish really dissapointed me, but that`s just the way it is. Sunday is normally more succesfull than Saturday, so let us see.
We will start early in the morning, in Australia. The regular season is slowly approaching its end and these two teams are fighting for the 6th place which guarantees the first round of playoffs. They are both under pressure to win this match as there are Newcastle and Central Coast who will wait for their mistakes.
Hosts Western Sidney of course were champions in 2013 and also won Champions League in 2014. So one of the best clubs in Australia, also with one of the best supporters. But this season is tough and they are currently 6th, 2 points in front of today`s oponents. Also, Western Sidney are having problems with defence and although in the League their average of goals is only 2,5 per game, they played some very high overs lately (in Champions League 1-5 against Shanghai and 3-2 win at Seoul).
On the other side, Wellington are best team fron New Zealand and they are 2 points behind their oponents. They are the main reason for this bet, average of goals is 3 per game but lately they are playing va banque football and I expect them to do the same here. Six consecutive overs, five of them going over 3,5 goals are good sign: 2-2, 1-3, 1-3, 1-5, 2-1 and 3-3!
I expect both to score, Western Sidney could be tired but also boosted by their 3-2 win in Champions League. My call is another 3-2 win for Wanderers!
GL!

WS Wanderers vs Wellington Phoenix

The Wanderers are coming from an amazing win in ACL, 3-2 away to Seoul.
Their teenage striker Lachlan scored again and he will be pumped up for this match.

Popovici rested a few players and kept some on fewer minutes in Seoul, so he will have a fairly rested team. However, they are coming with momentum and tails up from their win in Seoul.

Both teams are fighting for the last play-off spot.
The Wanderers won 3-1 in the last encounter between these two teams last month in Wellington, and in the first meeting this season it was a 2-2 draw in New Zealand.

Phoenix will have all their striking capabilities available, while Santalab returns for the Wanderers.

Bet 1: Wanderers win @1.87
Bet 2: Over 2.75 goals @1.79
