Buenos Aires 2 challenger
This tournament in Buenos Aires takes place on a hard surface which is not the best choice especially for local Argentinian players who actually loves clay grounds. One of them is Maximo Gonzalez who plays on a hard courts very seldom- his physicall atributes: 175 cm high and 70 kg are not that good for this kind of courts. Naturally we have some players who still manage good results there by being fast etc (Goffin) but Gonzalez is rather not one of them and also age is not on his side- with 33 years old we can call him 'veteran'.
Nicolas Jarry before concentrated only to play on clay surface but recently he participated in some tournaments on hard courts and reached some very good results and beated some solid players. He is almost 2 meters high with a very strong serve so I don't see how Gonzalez could break it. One more advantage for Jarry is that they meet just a week ago (on clay) and Jarry won 6:4 6:4 so here he should have an easier job.
This is rather bet against Djokovic- Kyrgios is absolutely talented player but is unstable and unpredictable (in normal circumstances he should be in top 10 long time ago but so far he was highest 13th). Just two weeks ago he beated in straight sets Djokovic (in Acapulco) and then looked much better so I believe odds are fair to trust him one more time. Especially that against Zeballos and Zverev also showed a great tennis. What we can say about Novak- He doesn't look as strong as he used to be. Yesterday 3 sets against Del Potro, before hard game with Edmund before lost many gems to Klizan etc. Looks like he still cannot find himself after Australian Open.
