Germany, Lower Leagues, 17.-19.04.2018
Jena - Magdeburg (3.Liga; Tue, 17.04.18, 19:00)
Here we are with Jena again, only that this time it's at home, not away. And that makes a huge difference in case of CZJ! They are one of the best hometeams but totally suck on the road. Relegation threat is gone since Chemnitz will lose some points because of insolvency, so the team can play without any pressure here. Actually defense did already act a bit like that in last rounds, esp when losing 0:6 at Paderborn (could've been even higher!). Defense is weakened by absence of Gerlach (cdf), Koczor (gk) and Slamar (cdf). On the other hand topscorer Thiele returns in lineup. - Magdeburg is very close to promotion and still dueling with Paderborn for 3.Liga title. They are undefeated for 7 games right now, got high confidence and no really serious missings apart from attacker Düker (captain Sowislo is suspended but he is no regular anymore). - CZJ +0,5 is a bit tempting. That seems too high for such a good hometeam in an East derby even when considering that visitors got more to play for. But I surely prefer the over. After another 3.Liga season is secured, Jena got no need to focus on defense. They can play for the win and that should suit Magdeburg with in-form Türpitz up front just fine.

Stadtallendorf - Freiburg II (RL Southwest; Tue, 17.04.18, 18:30)
Stadtallendorf played a great first part of season, but have a hard time after winterbreak (1-2-7, 6:20). Actually they even have been lucky not to concede more; defense is struggling a lot and allows many opponent chances. Central defenders Vier, Völk, Vidakovics are still injured and Baltic (dmf/cdf) is suspended, so defense surely won't get more solid. Additionally topscorer Williams is missing because of suspension as well. - Freiburg II conceded only one (1!) goal in last 9 undefeated games (5-4-0, 10:1). Sitting 4 points below Mannheim, they cannot afford to drop any points on the hunt for promotion playoffs. Rodas (lmf) is suspended while Sachanenko (cdf) picked up a longterm injury. Decent replacements available and perhaps the team will even get help by some pros. - Hosts in very bad form (5 of last 6 games lost by 2+ goals) and with worrying squad situation face motivated, defensively rocksolid Freiburg youngsters.
Freiburg II -0,75 @2,15 pin (6/10)
ps: I forgot to mention that Freiburg II is well-rested while it's the fourth game in ten days for Stadtallendorf.

Rehden - Braunschweig II (RL North; Wed, 18.04.18, 18:15)
Rehden came back down to earth in last rounds, but ofc opponents have been of better calibre than before, so that didn't come totally unexpected. And actually they didn't play bad at all: lost 0:1 by late owngoal vs bus-parking, destructive D/A and played on eyelevel with Lübeck (2:4) + Wolfsburg II (1:3), only losing because of worse efficiency. Coach Muzzicato was satisfied with his team despite defeats and surely won't change offensive approach here. Regular keeper Mandic and veteran attacker Menga are doubtful, but topscorer Sembolo (5 goals in last 7 games) and wintersigning Fernandes (already 6 goals) are ready to strike. - Braunschweig II wasted a 2:0 lead to lose 2:3 at Jeddeloh last weekend. Looks like that defensive work during winterbreak didn't bring such great improvements so far. They conceded 2+ goals in 6 of last 7 games. At least Undav is in scoring mood, so they might get those last needed points for salvation soon. - Both suffering from tiring schedule, so coaches could rotate the lineups a bit. But I rely especially on Rehden to continue with the recent playing style. That should produce chances at both ends of the pitch.

Lok Leipzig - Meuselwitz (RL Northeast; Wed, 18.04.18, 19:00)
Lok ran out of steam . They are winless for 5 games and didn't even face top opponents (except for Cottbus ofc). In general, offensive creativity is really poor since restart; they have huge trouble to get the ball in the net. Well, there ain't much table-related pressure right now, so team might miss some motivation. Longterm mission is to promote to 3.Liga in next 5 years and to renovate/rebuild the stadium. Won't get easy (both parts). 18/19 season could get a lot harder considering who will relegate down from 3.Liga... - Meuselwitz is on a good track to save themselves. They are undefeated for 6 games, beating topteams Cottbus and BFC along the way. Gotta admit that some luck was involved (esp vs BFC), but that's still quite an achievement. Topscorer Brinkmann (omf) joins Lubsch (wdf/cmf) on injurylist while Müller (dmf) is suspended. On the other hand Trübenbach (fw) is back after missing 3 games due suspension and Mäder (rmf/fw) should return in starting lineup. - Both teams do not lose easily, but Meuselwitz surely is in better form right now (despite facing harder opponents!). h2h: Meuselwitz is kind of a "bogey team" for Lok. Leipzig is winless in 9 games against them.
