even if I lose this, I will not feel sorry at all for taking this. this is the right pick and potentially a very bet! why? simply because Edmund didnt beat anybody than worse ranked players recently (like Vesely and Tomic) and he is the lesser technical player. Ferrer is still a great player that can put problems. of course, in 2016, he lost to Edmund in Anvers kinda right before Vienna. but we talk about Vienna where Ferrer was semifinalist in 2016 and winner in 2015. finalist also in 2014, so this is his tournament and he loves this surface. I cant see Edmund going over just if he can serve really well but he probably did that only against Zverev. now normally I dont see him doing that, he comes home from China and will probably not go far in this tournament anyway. Ferrer on the other hand, I am not sure about this condition but if he decided to play here, probably he will be finally more prepared after the US Open fiasco and a not a fantastic Anvers. but there in Belgium he doesnt feel anyway very good. so, the Spaniard already played on this kind of surface, indoor and Europe, the Brit born in South Africa not. he was in China. I expect David to increase the level, so probably he can do it even in two sets if he is focused enough. and I dont really expect a good start of Edmund, I told you why. h2h is basically 1-1 but Ferrer beat him easier in the last two sets (3-set victory at Canadian Masters). look, normally the odds wouldnt be so high. for me Edmund isnt doing anything special, pretty nothing, he could be easily worse ranked, he is just beating non-tehnical opponents, constant at this. even Steve Johnson is not much even though he had some good form this year.

And yeah, it is obviously reasonable to offer and suggest that this will be under when you look who's playing, Parana and Vila Nova of Serie B in Brasil league, 2nd division.
