Default A-League - 16-17.12

Newcastle Jets vs Adelaide

Adelaide will be without two key players in the midfield, Adlung and Garrucio, both suspended.

The Jets are flying high this season, and even without their striker O'Donovan, they've been winning games and are now sitting second on the ladder.

They are scoring goals too, and they are the only side to have scored in every match this season.

With Petratos in great form, the Jets can continue their winning run.

Bet: Jets win @2.28

Perth Glory vs Wellington Phoenix

Glory welcome back two players form injury, the star player Castro and Chianese.
They still have one of the longest list of injuries in the league, with about 6-7 players still missing.

Phoenix are without 3 key players themselves, as McGlinchey, Durante and Roy Krishna are out injured.
They have the poorest defence in the league, with 20 goals conceded in 9 matches, and are sitting at the bottom of the league.

Perth Glory were just unlucky last week to lose a home game to Newcastle Jets, after leading 1-0 for most of the match they conceded twice in the last few minutes.

With the boost that Castro will provide and playing at home, Perth should have enough to win this.

Bet 1: Perth Glory win @2.05
Bet 2: Glory Team Total over 1.75 goals @1.98

Brisbane Roar vs Melbourne Victory

Both teams have major absences in midfield and defense.

Victory picked the majority of their points from the away games and they scored in all of them.
They actually scored in all games this season, except the first one, but that was against the best defence in the league, Sydney FC.

Brisbane started to pick points and wins in their last few matches, and with both teams missing key players in defence and midfield, I hope we can see a few goals.

Bet: over 2.75 goals @2.01

Hi Quill,

hope you read this!
Do you know what the reason for Newcastle Jet's rising odds is?
They are getting really attractive, around 2.3 now on home win.

They are second on the table, in good shape (back-to-back wins against Adelaide and Perth Gl), quite convincing at home (3-2-1, GD 13-7).

Meanwhile WS Wanderers are really weak this season, they have only one win in the last 10 games. Away they lost 3 times out of 5.

The only thing I found is the H2H, which shows overwhelming dominance on WSW's part: 8 games in Newcastle, and 5-3-0.

Is it time for Newcastle to win?

Thanks for your insights!
