Default A-League - 16-19.11

Central Coast Mariners vs Adelaide

The Mariners got a rare win last week, but what a win it was! They beat the best team in the league and current champions, Sydney FC, and they did so deservedly, as they were better than the champions.

We'll have to see if that was a flash in the pan, and the Mariners will get back to being a lowly team, or they will build up on the momentum.

Adelaide will get some players back for tonight's game, so they will be hoping to take something from this match.

They are on a 3-match losing streak, and they want to keep in touch with the leading pack, so that they won't have too much to recover when the team is back to full strength.

Adelaide may not be able to win this, as the Mariners are playing well now, but have a fighting chance for a draw.

The past 8 matches between these two teams have been high scoring.

Bet 1: Draw @3.73 Pinnacle
Bet 2: Over 2.5 & BTTS Yes @1.90 bet365

Bet 3: this is a double bet between

Australian basketball: Illawarra Hawks vs Sydney over 176.5 @1.41
Australian A-League: CC Mariners vs Adelaide over 2.25 @1.45

The basketball match is explained in its respective section.

This double bet combines two actual "over" bets made in these matches, but at smaller totals.

Double with the smaller overs in the two Australian matches today, soccer and basketball:
Over 2.25 goals @1.45 + Over 176.5 @1.41 = Odds 2.05 bet365

Perth Glory vs Melbourne Victory

Victory are surprisingly bottom of the ladder with no wins in 6 matches so far.
They are boosted for tonight's match by the return of several big names in their squad, like Troisi, Milligan and Barbarouses.
They also have Berisha to spearhead their attack, and they came to Perth for their first win this season.

Glory lost incredibly 2-5 last week in Wellington, after being 2-2 on 47 minutes.
They have the poorest defence in the league, and while their attack is quite potent, it is there that they suffered a double blow for this match.
Two of their biggest names, Taggart and Castro, are out injured.

Melbourne will very likely get something out of this match, and given the team news in both camps, we should see some goals too.

Bet 1: Melbourne (0.0) @1.84

Bet 2: Team Total Melbourne Over 1.5 goals @2.00

Bet 3: Total Goals Over 2.75 @1.73

Australian FFA Cup Final

Sydney vs Adelaide

Despite the appearances and the fact that they took their place back to the top of the ladder in A-League, Sydney have not looked as clinical and clear winners of their games in the past few weeks, like they were last season.

I saw signs of uncertainty, Sydney were asked questions quite a few times this season.

For example, Sydney conceded 2 goals from Wellington Phoenix, the rock bottom team in the league, in a tight 3-2 win.

Letting in two goals was unheard of last season, when Sydney had the tightest defence in the league, with less than half a goal conceded on average per match.

Then they drew 2-2 at home, this time the Wanderers scoring both goals in the first half, before Sydney came back and levelled the score in the second half.

Then they lost 0-2 away to Central Coast Mariners, currently second from bottom.

Most recently they struggled to beat Newcastle Jets, 2-1 at home. OK, the Jets are having a great season, currently sitting second right behind Sydney.

What Iím saying is that Sydney have to work harder for their wins this season, and even when they do work hard, they donít always win anymore, and they are vulnerable.

Sydneyís coach rested some players when they played 3 days ago in the league and will have a full strength squad for this Cup Final.

Adelaide played 5 days ago (2-1 away win to Central Coast Mariners), and they had time to rest. They have almost a full strength squad, with a couple of players unavailable due to injury.

When they had a full squad in the beginning of the season, Adelaide were playing great football and they were undefeated the first few games.

On the way to the final Adelaide eliminated three A-League teams, whereas Sydney had to play only against one, the rest coming from inferior leagues.

Both teams have very good coaches, and Sydney might be at an advantage in terms of players availability.

Given that it is a Cup Final, and both teams play good football and play with determination, Iím going for cards and corners, with a limited number of goals.

Bet 1: Asian total corners: Over 10.5 corners @1.90

Bet 2: Adelaide over 2.5 cards @2.10

Bet 3: Total cards: Over 4.5 @2.10 (alternatively Asian Total Cards: Over 4.0 @1.80)

Bet 4: Number of goals: 2 or 3 goals @2.00
