Anyone with Karlsruhe knowledge who can explain how important Buckley, Haas and Staffeldt are for the team?

I'm looking into a +1.75 bet on Karlsruhe. Fürth without Prib & Fürstner and a long game against Dortmund in midweek.

Any team info on the Union game tonight? Stats suggest O2.5 but don't have injury/suspension info. Thanks!

Von Veränderungen in der erfolgreichen Elf, die in Aachen überzeugte, sieht der Trainer ab. Einzige Ausnahme ist die Hereinnahme von Patrick Zoundi für den verletzten Christopher Quiring.

26.03.2012 - Union Berlin vs. Eintracht Frankfurt

http://www.oddsportal.com/soccer/ger...t-806433/#ah;2

Eintracht Frankfurt (-0.25)
Odds: 1.84 (IBCBet)
Stake: 6/10

Besides Greuther Furth, Frankfurt will certainly promote. Both teams perform on a much higher level than all other teams in the league. It seems that Frankfurt lately found back to their old form after three consecutive and absolute convincing victories. For tonight, manager Armin Veh announced not to change anything because they have recently done so well. Frankfurt’s whole way of performing in 2012 has been absolutely strong so far except the 4:2 defeat in Paderborn a few weeks ago. But back then, Paderborn used their first two shots on target to score and they showed their best performance of the season. Also, the situation was different because Paderborn were highly motivated and playing in Paderborn is more difficult than playing in Berlin. Two weeks ago, Frankfurt won 5:1 away to Rostock and they showed a terrific performance. They were clinical, converting almost every goalscoring chance in the first half and they always controlled the game. The main reason why Frankfurt have lately improved so much is the fact that captain Pirmin Schwegler who is absolutely vital for them returned from an injury as well as best striker Mo Idrissou who returned as well. Both have been out in the end of 2011 which was the reason why they gave away some points, especially in away games. But since three weeks, both are back and since then they won every game in an absolutely deserved way. With this squad and lineup, I am sure that no team has a realistic chance to stop them besides Greuther Furth.

I appreciate Union Berlin as a great home team, especially under flood light and to me they absolutely deserve to be in the safe midfield of the table. They have played a superb season but since several weeks, they have shown a downtrend. I think that nobody resents them for being less focused since the avoiding of relegation is safe for many weeks now but in fact, Berlin play for absolutely nothing and recent games have shown that. Next point why I expect them to be chanceless tonight is the fact that they always lose against top teams or at least they do not win. The reason is absolutely simple. Berlin are great in making the running because they have a good technical ability and a strong offensive in general. When Berlin play at home against rather weak teams, this almost always means a certain home victory. Showing a good short passing play, making many good crosses and dangerous set pieces – that’s Union Berlin at home. But they hate it to play against a team which make the running itself. And exactly this is Frankfurt’s strength. Frankfurt always make the running, no matter if playing at home or on the road. They have high quality players and hence it is no problem for them always to control the running. The reason why they do not like such a situation is their rather weak defense which tends to collapse against strong teams as well as the fact that their counter play is more than improvable. They actually have only two very fast players in the squad who are good in such situations: Michael Parensen and Christoph Quiring. However, Quiring sustained an injury when playing in Aachen last week and Parensen has to play in the central defense due to the fact that Christoph Menz has lately been out of form and is rested on the bench. Patrick Zoundi and Chinedu Ede will take the right respectively the left positions in the midfield. Zoundi is a bad player with a low technical ability and I do not expect him to create dangerous situations against the best right back of the league, Sebastian Jung. Ede against Constant Djakpa could be much more dangerous but again, Ede is not a typical counter player. The same is true of Torsten Mattuschka who is by far Berlin’s most important player. He is a great playmaker because of his superb technical ability but he is too old and slow for counter attacks.

So, what kind of game do I expect tonight? Frankfurt will use exactly the same formation which humiliated Dresden at home in their own stadium. It was maybe the most one-sided game of the season because Dresden were so chanceless. Again, Frankfurt will make the running and try to control the game from the first minute on. Berlin does not like this because their defense is much too poor to hamper Frankfurt with the creating of goalscoring chances. Their counter play and their shifting is one of their biggest weak points and as well the reason why they usually do so bad in away matches. And next point is of course the motivation. Berlin play for absolutely nothing and recently they have made a less focused impression. Frankfurt play for promotion and manager Armin Veh stated: “A victory in Berlin would not mean one step towards promotion, rather it would mean two big steps towards our big aim!” – taking the -0.25 here because Union might be able to get a draw when they will fight a lot and when Frankfurt will not be as clinical as usual but actually I expect a comfortable away victory.
