3 Main adventages for England are:

1. Kane on Lovren
2. Tripier on Strinic
3. We (Croatia) is BAD at defending Set pieces (and England is among best teams to take adventages out of that)

Odds are Set correct fine and i think England is team WHO is overall bit better and will proceed to The finals (just to add we are tired, we Were Lucky in last Two games).

Eng fra final

It was like, when Modric was tired, he was moving back and Rakitic was more offensive. And when Modric seemed to be ok, then he was at the attack again and Rakitic more a defensive midfielder. Was that for tactical reasons or actually Modric was so tired?
I dont know why is that. Everyone expects Modric to shoot more often. Although he did scored couple of goals for both Real and Croatia (usually from cca 16 meters), I dont think he have enough power in his shots. When he do, he leans back with his whole body, adding more power to it. Probably because he is small and light. When he doesnt "charge" his shots like that, they end up being easy pickups for goalkeepers. Rakitic has more power, obviously. I prefer him to be more offensive than Modric.

vs russia they fielded a light midfield so one of modric and rakitic had tactical task on most of game till brozovic came in ....

we can expect picture more like vs argentina tonight ...

im bit surprised kovacic is not having many minutes ... the guy is box to box and teams sure needs soem fresh legs ....

u need back up vs sterling and co ...

im bit afarid we shall see another game decided on little details like set pieces ...

reg modric or rakitic going forward they are both quite sharp ... but i rather have luca on that position .. guy is faster ... covers more space playing as wingers anchor ...

ex sevilla one ... well he was atacking often in sevilla .. but at barsa he had to adapt and become more tactical midfielder in some sort of footballing darwinism .... when u have messi and iniesta in your place kinda need to adapt to other places ... and coaches know hes such agood player that can play well whereever ...

come on craotia .. ure my only hope for a new winner !!

I think that they lost all fuel till semi final while England all games played wo pressure exactly as they planed. They had little problem with Columbia caz they conceded in the late of match.Smth like Belgium I think-they lost all energy and entusiasm against Brasil...

Thanx man, i think Modric is out of energy and at the worst point, at the semis. There were many attacks at the second half where you couldn't even see Modric on the wide shot of the camera. And i agree with you, i prefer Rakitic too.

There is a bet with "how many passes X player will do" and since Modric seems to be out of energy, my attention is on Rakitic, we will see when line ups come out.

Default 8 of 9 goals on the inactive ball, 3 of which on a penalty kick

Another goal on a steady, inactive ball
free kick, corner, or similar
It will be a World Cup remembered with this record
With England above all for this record
Maybe this is football too today

You seem to have been missing the first half where Croatia wasnt nowhere to be found and could have been easily 2-0 down. England payed the price of inexperience. It was bound to happen, sooner or later, but those mistakes they did, boy what a lack of concentration and lack of class in the end, i'm returning to my thesis about their overrated condition, it was like kids vs men in second half and extra time, croatia was just more solid, experienced and their fighting spirit is admirable. Still England is not bad, they had a good tourney, yes they had luck with easy group and nice path to semis but they've shown sone good stuff, still when tested they failed badly, and they havent even met la creme de la creme. Brazil or Belgium from the other side would have crushed them.

England is a big joke seriously... Refused to play after their goal and completely clueless when Croatia were taking slowly the control of the game. Psychologically very weak and despite Croatia looked a bit down physically they could still outplayed and beat them. Congrats Croatia!

Thanks guys. Really mean it. We are not big at all. Its great success. I like the speed of England but experience prevailed. Great game. Though to watch. Croatia is celebrating.

Congratulations from Slovenia, deserved finals, I am in pain for England but it is OK, proud on them, too.
And as Tomica Ivkovic said in interview from Rogla after the match, now Croatians are even prepared to give us some extra meters of the seaside.

I did. Happy for you!!! England dominated the game for the first 60 minutes. Croatia then benefited from a defensive mistake by Walker and they took charge of the game... It seemed counterintuitive to me that Croatia would dominate after the 60th minute given that they went into ET in all of their other games. I thought England would be the fresher side and would be able to exploit the age difference but in the end Croatia won deservedly. I don't think England were bad but Croatia were better from the 60th minute onwards. It was a game of 2 halves. For the first 60 minutes England prevailed and then Croatia took over... They played smarter football tonight.

actually its france game plan as well .....

but they are just too good managing & speculating with a result ...

konte , matuidi & grizzie know what to do ....

i think croatia wining vs bleus would be such a feat ...

i need at least a nice -.25 1.9+ to back them tough ...

croats shall be boosted by this game ... perisic became freekin zizou ... and they defended well in 2nd half

Must be a huge party over there in Zagreb! Probably everyone will be off work tomorrow... I can't remember such a small country ever making it to the finals of the WC in recent times - Uruguay made it a few times but that was long ago...

Close call. We are waiting on Wiser to bet on France so we can be sure Croatia will win the final Just kidding Wiser, but maybe you bring us luck. It will be a tough game again, no bet again. Just hope. We lost in 1998, its payback time.

And as I said before, these two are both good teams, not just individuals, that is why they did not end like argentina, Portugal, Brasil and others.

Maybe.

I've already punted on France to win the WC so I won't make any more bets... The odds seem price right. The only thing I'll say is that if Croatia win it will probably be in ET or penalties... Amazing how these guys were able to conserve their energy...

Totally agree.
Look Belgium showed all their strength in Brazil match and then next game lost France.
Croatia played all 3 games in ET or PEN, and showed all their best. France defense line is not naive like England or Denmark.
Times for France. Allez les Blues !
