Play-off starting and phormula is next: 4 groups with 3 teams in each one, only the first one placed team from every group will proceed into semi-final. San Giustino saved themself in A1 thanks to Copra who gifted them 2 sets in last round and it was so clearly and thanks to Padova losing at home 3-2 instead of winning 3-2 and staying in A1 (sending San Giustino in A2). They are the worst team in the whole play-off and here they dont have anything to hope for. Trentino has always been destroying San Giustino trought whole season, and not just this one season but many seasons ago. 3-0 is anything here can happen with Trentino ready to play with maximum ready players as all of them have been rested for 4-5 rounds.

Vibo has lost yesterday match againts Cuneo 3-1, so if they want to be 1st placed team they have to beat Piacenza today and wait for crazy results- so no way. This is direct battle for 2nd spot for Vibo and their last chance to catch position for challenge cup next season, but still it is too optimistic to expect them to win here. Piacenza is more ready than Vibo who played match yesterday (very hard fight) while Piacenza is in the best form in the whole league. Piacenza has beaten Vibo both times in the regular half of the season, home and away, and both times beaten this handicap. I expect here from Piacenza to win 3-0 or 3-1 and to fight tomorrow with Cuneo for 1st place.What I forgot to said is Vibo will play without first opposite - Klapwijk, who will be replaced by Falasca who is slight injured and without middle-blocker Rak who got injured yesterday.

So situation is pretty clear here - Modena has to win 3-0 this one to proceed to next phase, but here I am going to take better option - Modena to win first set. Reason is simple - Modena is better team, but I am not sure if they are capable of winning 3-0 here, but one thing is definitely sure here - they will start with 100% from the start and winning first set is much better option than -1.5 on Modena, because Modena can slow down if they lose one set here. I believe they wont lose 1st set.

Direct battle for first place and semi-final! Who wins he goes through. This is classic example when bookies are underdoing someone because of no reason and when they know nothing about circumantes and quality of teams. Cuneo won first match 3-1 away but Macerata won 1st set, lost 2nd one and then stopped playing and lose 3rd set 13-25 and 4th 18-25 or so. Macerata played absolutely nothing in first match but this is win or die match for them and here they have to win. Parodi is back in Macerata team after virus and slight injury so he is back in starting six and Kovar is on bench so roster is deeper now. Guiliani is well known as winner coach who always make his team winning the most important matches (has beaten Cuneo in knock-out match in CL after losing at home) and here he is big advantage comparing to Placi (Cuneo's coach). All in all, this is 50-50 match and @2.75 on Macerata is crazy thing here, really. I wanted to take hcp points but +5.5 is small handicap for @1.85 so for me much bigger value is ML on @2.75.

I am sure Macerata is better team overal - but in this situation I have to bet on Cuneo. Macerata will play without their best player Omrcen who is suspended, so Van Valle is going to replace him and it is going to be big problem for Macerata, especially with Parodi still slightly injured. Odds are already dropping and I think they will drop to @1.5 or so before the start. Still 5/10 is my stake here only because Macerata is better team with Omrcen - but without him Cuneo is in advantage at about 40-60, especially because this will be played on neutral ground.
