Price booty will be a bit higher than for regular POD, 1st place will be awarded with 150 EUR, second place with 100 EUR and third place will bring 50 EUR!

Here are the rules:

The Competition

The competition has the purpose to gather the best bets of a certain day of WC 2018. It's for fun, but the competition can also be a good place for tipsters to find picks quicker than browsing all pages. You can place your Pick of the day and score points if it satisfies the conditions that are stated below. The competition lasts one month and in that period, a contestant must give exactly 8 picks. YOU CAN ENTER THE COMPETITION UNTIL IT IS POSSIBLE TO PICK EIGHT POD-s. It means, entering competition after only 7 days of the WC left, is not possible. Every missing pick till 8 at the end of the month will be punished with -100 points per missing pick.
You must be a registered user of this forum to participate. You must have a unique IP address, not more than one competitor can use the same address.
Odds must be between 1.50 and 3.50 and only odds taken from these 3 bookmakers are allowed:

Bet365
Pinnacle
SBOBet

You must write arguments for your pick or at least give a link to a prediction on BA main page, written by yourself.
About the conditions

You can only give one pick per day. Your pick must be different to all other placed picks, but you can back another team/player in the same game as someone else has taken. For your pick to count, it must be posted at least 1 hour before the event starts.

You cannot back the same team/player as someone else even if you take a different bet type (for example handicap bet, different game total etc.). But this rule applies only for quarterfinals/semifinals/finals of the WC!!! In the group phase of WC and in 1/8 finals you can take picks that were already taken by other users!!!

You can take these bet types (but only inside allowed odds from 1,50 to 3,50!):

-European handicap bets (final or HT)
-Over/Under bets (Game total) (final or HT)
-Home/Draw/Away bets (final or HT)
-Double Chance (1X,12,X2)
-Both teams to score (Yes/No)

-number of goals scored team 1/team 2

You must write the correct bookie and correct odds in the time of your posting.

Scoring

A pick that was wrong will cost you 100 points. When you've made a correct pick, and it satisfied the conditions, you will gain 100 (Odds-1) points. For example, a successful pick @ 1.85 will give you 85 points. This is the net profit if you had staked 100 units. Asian Handicaps will be calculated accoringly to the net profit. It is not allowed to pick odds below 1,50 and above 3,50.
The contestant that scores the highest number of points with 8 picks, will win the monthly competition. In case he fails to give 8 picks, 100p-for every missing pick- will be deducted from his score.
To win Special WC POD you MUST make 8 bets ! Hopefully we will have time to update the standings everyday, but there may be some delays from time to time.

France and Belgium had some very solid performances so far in the World Cup. France have started slowly but they have played very well after the group stage. They have scored 4 goals in the match against Argentina and added two more goals in the latest game against Uruguay.
Belgium were unstoppable in the group stage. They have won all three games played and have combined 9 goals. Later they have recorded a win against Japan scoring 3 goals and added 2 more against Brazil.
Still teams had some weak performances in defence as well. France have conceded 3 goals against Argentina, Belgium have surprisingly allowed 2 against Japan, also conceded twice against Tunisia in the group stage.
This is why I expect offense to dominates against defence here. Teams have many great strikers. Mbappe was playing very well so far in the tournament, also France have Giroud, Griezmann. Lukaku, Hazard, Mertens most probably will start for Belgium so goals are probable in the upcoming game.

France will meet Belgium in the first Semi final here in Russia after the two European nations beat thought South Americans opponents:Uruguay and Brazil,in the Quarter finals!I think these two sides are stronger than the other two semi-finalists and the winner from here,surely will be the favourite to win the World Cup Trophy in the Final.
France wins over Argentina and Uruguay were in an impressive way and will have given them a lot of confidence and they will be slightly favourites today at St.Petersbourg.The midfield battle will be the key in this game,both teams have creative,speedy and quality midfielders like Griezman,Mbappe or Hazard and DeBruyne,some will feel they will then cancel one another out,but I think this should be an attacking game with a lot of chances and goals!
Belgium have won the last game between the two teams in a Friendly in 2015 with 4-3 were the host dominate and dictate the tempo,while Belgium prevail with great counter-attacks.But the last time they met in a WorldCup competition was in 1986,when France triumph's with penalties 4-2 (2-2 was the score after 90 minutes).
All in all,both teams should have some serious chances to score,while both teams also have quality attacking players on the bench,which were their biggest strenghts in this World Cup.I think a first half goal could open this clash up and goals should come easily after that from both sides.Belgium scored twice in the first half against Brazil,France had the lead in the first half vs Uruguay also in Quartel final,I feel goals in the first half already...

Both teams have their arguements. France is a mix of experience and talent. Griezmann, Matuidi, Lloris or Giroud on one side and Mbappe, Varane, Umitti or Pavard on second side. Tricolores had slow start in group stage but in playoffs stage they were very effective. Against Belgium for sure they will get some goalscoring chances as opponents defence is plenty of wholes and making lots of errors. Losing two gols to Japan it's best confirmation of that. On the other side Belgium have very talented squad too. Almost on every position they have very good players. Leaders like Lukaku, Hazard or De Bruyne can overturn a match alone. France defence isn't a monolith too so I think they should also get some goalscoring chances. In last years in h2h matches there were seen many different outcomes. What is more important two of last three games ended with draws. Now with big importance and stake of the match and having in mind that both countries are neighbours and even using in some parts of Belgium the same French language I expect really hot atmosphere in the match. Both defences are making and they will not risk conceding a goals so they will gona faul. Finally bookings before the final will be reset so even players in danger to miss to final because of that they will can afford a sbooking in semifinal. In sum I expect a lot bookings so over 4.5 bookings is my call here.

Odds are dropping at this moment for the over bet, Meunier is missing for Belgium, Chadli replaced Carrasco as a left winger against Brazil and defended pretty well so should keep his place in the squad. Belgium defended quite a lot against Brazil, their defense was not exactly the best but Courtois, their goalkeeper was in a good day and saved some already made goals. But Belgium was really threatening up-front when they wanted to score and so they scored 2 goals against a very good Brazil defense by half-time of the game. In the group stage they scored 5 against Tunisia, 3 against Panama, and 1 against England with a reserve side. Scored 3 against Japan when they were 2 goals down and made a sensational comeback. This team has goals written all over them, and France showed against Argentina that when put under pressure they can both produce wonderfull goals but also allow spaces in their defense, so we should see a good game of football and goals coming early. Also Belgium to win this game IMO.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, this is the final before the final match on the WC. But one team goes to the final game. I personally love both teams. True, my favorite is England for the title. Nevertheless, the French are a very strong and organized team. First of all, they have quick attackers. So, they will try to capitalize on their advantage in that part. On the other hand, Belgium has an excellent defense, especially the goalkeeper. So, the French were kicked out by two solid teams from South America: Argentina and Uruguay. How do they stand, they still have a better team. Pogba, Mbappe, Giroud and Griezmann are a very strong quartet. They will try to make a difference in their favor. Otherwise, very interesting, the referee will be Cunha from Uruguay!
On the other hand, Belgium is also an equally strong team. Simply, this is a great generation, and they have very strong chemistry within their team. They want to make a historic success. They want a title on the World Cup. There is no doubt, it makes sense, and they can rightly hope for it. The key player in the match against Brazil was De Bruyne with a great goal. But, according to statistics, Brasil was much better in almost all segments. Otherwise, they have had great trouble against Japan. So, Chadli scored a goal in 94 'for a win. They had a hard way than England.
In any case, they will be very careful in this game. They will try to block Mbappe above all. The French will block the brain in the Belgian team: Hazard. Lukaku is great in box, but he is weak in a duel game. He will try to make a counter attack.
All in all, this will be a very exciting game. Anyway, I expect an advantage in France already in the 1st Half. They can make a surprise in the first 45 '. We will see.

Football, WC 2018 finals in Russia. France is the slight favorite here for the clash with Belgium. I believe more on the French team because the confidence shown of the previous matches, but the team will be more carefull on this moment because we all know how dangerous is the team on Belgium. The team is a strong on every line of the football pitch and attack can trashed every team especially that was the big favorite for the title - Brazil. If you can beat Brazil all roads led to the title( example last WC and Germany) so the team on Belgium have the last word here in the battle with France. The fair today I think is the draw. I think this game will end with penalties winner.

plus due to the fact that all other bets are already done(you cant do duplicate bets)
my only option here is to tip france
with players like griezman and pogba and mbabpe against hazard/lukaku/de bruyne it will be a very close match but france is always a bit more lucky
78 minute france will score 1-0 and it will stay that way(france will become wc..although ofcourse i hope belgium will do it)

Another pick just against the trends. People are impressed by Belgium nice football and France quality but this is WC semifinal and the stake is huge. Roberto Martinez and Didier Deschamps are very good organisers with tactical knowledge. Belgium will play again with 3 central defenders, very difficult for Mbappe, Giroud and Griezmann to find spaces. French force come from the midfield with those 2 box to box midfielders Matuidi and Pogba, alongside NGolo Kante anchorman. Last but not the least, both sides have world class commanding goalkeepers in great shape these weeks in Russia - Thibault Courtois and captain Hugo Lloris, from Premiership giants Chelsea and Tottenham. All in all, I preview a match with not very spectacular display, maybe there will be extra-time after 0-0 or 1-1 in regular time.

Game takes place at the Saint-Petersburg Stadium, between France and Belgium. Les bleus have been impressive so far. They are the strongest candidates to lift the trophy after Brazil were eliminated. I checked their squad and saw no new injury concerns ahead of this match.

Belgium, on the other hands, surprised many of us in this tourney. Well, we knew that they are the dark horse. But very few would predict a win over brazil. For this clash, they could be without Meunier.

The good thing for big teams is that the stadium of Kazan is no longer hosting anymore games. Why i said this? because that place has been a dead valley for big teams. Germany lost to Korea, Argen lost to France and Brazil to Belgium. Now France should win.
