Harrogate to beat Redditch 6/5 @ Skybet
I’m extremely fond of these types of fixtures because I believe that the away side have a better than evens chance of the win so I perceive value in the price.
As you can see Harrogate Town and Redditch have mirror images form wise. Harrogate raced into a 3-0 lead away at Barrow last time out, hit the bar twice and took the foot off to concede two goals in the last 5 mins. They’ve also won away at Moor Green so are 2/2 away from home. The Key stat for me at this early juncture is that three clean sheets were kept out of four.
Some fan's views of Redditch's many problems:
“The main problem is obviously having no capable, natural striker at the moment. I think its reasonable to assume that Gary Whild and the board planned that Sylla would come back and that Jermaine Clark would be his striking partner. Now is the time to accept that Norman is not going to come back. So spend the money ear marked for him elsewhere! it’s a shame also that Jermaine took his summer holiday during the first two weeks of the season!” (Only in NL folks!)
Or more succinctly if that’s your style:
“I reckon we looked like relegation fodder. We cant expect decent crowds on performances like this. Even my red tinted specs could see that!
We never looked like scoring and unless we get a decent frontman who can put the ball in the net, we are likely to be in trouble.”
3 points on Harrogate here for me.

Please, start to use European (decimal) odds, as we use to do on this forum. Thx./Strand
Histon away to Bognor Regis @ 6/5 (Skybet) (Conference South)
Truly amazing price this. Consider the form of both in the league.
Histon are fresh after demolishing Welling 4-2 away. They went 3-0 & 4-1 up so it wasn’t even close against one of the strongest teams in this league. The win made it 4 wins out of 4, 11 scored and 3 conceeded.
Bognor are definitely one of the weaker teams in this league. Last season Histon lost in the play-offs, Bognor finished mid-table.
There results thus far make for some interesting reading. Stuffed at home by Stortford. Gave Yeading there first home win in 6 months by loosing there 2-0. Lost 3-1 to the terrible Farnborough Town and in doing so gave them their first points of the season.
Granted Bognor are fresh off the back of a 3-0 victory but again Thurrock have started poorly. Bognor do have a danger man in Luke Nightingale and the striker scored twice midweek and 19 last season.
Histon have hit the ground running and are an attacking outfit suited for away days so as this one. I think they’ll steam roller Bognor and give me an excellent return for 5 pts.

Tonbridge to beat Carshalton @ 2.15 (Bwin) (Ryman Premier)
Carshalton as a relegated team wanted to bounce back to Conference South but unfortunately they playmaker Michael Johnson was signed up by Sutton Utd while the lead striker Luke Fontana suffers from a long term injury. Home loss to playing below expectations Wimbledon and mediocre Horsham confirm they must stop dreaming about a promotion.
Rookies from Tonbridge Angels are current leaders, smashing their rivals Hendon and Worthing. While I don't know much about Worthing, Hendon was pretty solid last years.
I cannot see any reason why Tonbridge should not took their home advantage.
Leyton to beat Worthing @ 1.9 (BWin) (Ryman Prem)
Leyton's managed by ex-L. Orient's John Sitton has been fulfilling their promotional plans so far, beating Slough and Walton&Hersham.
Worthing had a terrible start with 2-5 and 1-6 losses to Margate and Tonbridge respectively will have a little chance to recover facing another promotion candidate.
Weymouth manager Garry Hill must do without six first-team players. Roy O'Brien (foot), Andy Harris (knee), Dean Howell (groin), Ross Carmichael (ankle), Trevor Challis (knee) and Tony Jamesbare all ruled out.
Kidderminster 1 5/10
