View Full Version : Pick of the day 7/11
New day, new picks.
I will update the standings tomorrow.
Widzew-Legia 2 odds 2,0 @ Gamebookers
LOL  :D i really enjoyed reading your pick!
Germany - 2. Bundesliga:
FSV Mainz 05 - Greuther Fürth 1 @ 1.75 at Expekt
Mainz is 3rd in the league with just one point behind leaders. At home they have good record with 4 wins and 1 draw in 5 matches with goal difference 11:4.
On the other hand Furth is the worst away team in league. They have 2 draws and 3 losses in 5 away matches so far with goal difference 2:8. Overal they are 14th.
For me Mainz is the biggest favourite for promotion this year. They were very close to it last season when they weren't promoted just because of one or two goals in goal difference. And I am sure that they want to be promoted this year and will do everything for that. So they should win that kind of matches to achieve that goal.
I expect match with more than 2.5 goals and Mainz wining with at least two goals.
Expected score: 3-1, 3-0, 2-0
NHL. Colorado - Phoenix - 1 - @ 1.543 Pinnacle
Colorado is the second team in NHL in scoring. Phoenix without win in 8 matches, and without progress. I think Colorado stars will make the difference.
LOL  :D i really enjoyed reading your pick!Cheers
OK... just noticed this competition was running again and I guess it's time to enter.
Turning to NBA for my first pick
Orlando Magic-Minnesota Timberwolves (-1.5) @ 2.06 - Pinnacle
Orlando have been miserable so far this season where even superstar Tracy McGrady seems to be in some sort of slump in spite of putting up decent numbers. Gordan Giricek will still be missing for this game and even though Pat Garrity may be able to return after injury his production is bound to be limited. This means that McGrady will have very little support for this game. Not a good sign for a team that have lost their last 4 games at home - and going down 9 against Knicks and 6 against Bulls is just plain pitiful.
Timberwolves have had a rough time fitting new superstars like Latrell Sprewell, Sam Cassell and Michael Olowokandi into their lineup. With injuries to key players Troy Hudson and Wally Szczerbiak Minnesota have had no noteworthy experience from last year's roster to draw on. But things are starting to work now. The overtime loss against Sacramento was a sign of things to come as Minnesota went 100+ for the first time this season - losing 121-125 (ord game 110-110).
Thurrock-Luton Luton to score 3 or more 3.00 bet365
Luton has high hope for FA cup. At least to go forward in this early stages.
They are prepared good for this game and going with full squad.
Thurrock coach said that they don`t have a realistic chance of winning this game. He said they didn`t have the time to prepare for this game.
I think quality difference is to big here. And i see Luton scoring a few times. Even the Thurrock fans predict a 0-3 1-3 and 1-4 result here.
My pick for today is :
VITESSE - WILLEM II OVER 2.5 @ 1.6 Gamebookers
It seems that Vitesse is finally geting some form and it`s like they are improving themself from round to round. After very poor start, they first (and only) win was in 5 th round when they won as gueast against Utrecht 3:1,but when all thought that they will win against Twente and Volendam they didn`t.Last five matches :
Utrecht - Vitesse 1:3
Vitesse - Twente 3:5 :!:
RKC - Vitesse 2:2
Groningen - Vitesse 1:2
Vitesse - Volendam 2:2
As you can see, last five matches were over 2.5 and at home on 2 matches were 12 :!: goals scored and in all championship they have goal diference 8:12 what means 4 goals per match.
Willem is very poor away team with record of 0 2 3 and goal diference 3:15 and it means more then 3 goals per match so it means that here should be many goals.
I agree with mistro, Luton should beat the amateurs Thurrock with ease today. Even though there are many surprises in this cup, I think the difference between these two teams is too big. Unfortunately I don't have any further information to share. 1.60 is not a big price, but the away win is very probable in my opinion. So my pick is:
Thurrock - Luton 2 @ 1.60 (Expekt)
after two unsuccesful picks, I hope to get third right this time...
my pick is
Columbus Blue Jackets - Atlanta Thrashers......2....(2.50@Centrebet)
my analysis ::>>
Pick of the day: St. Etienne v Istres X 2,85 Unibet
This is a risky pick! I have problems finding arguments for betting on this, but as we all know statistics have a tendency of balancing themselves, and seen as St. Etienne have avoided the draw on the last 17 occations, they must draw soon for sure??? Also, Istres are top of the league and being such a good hometeam, they'll be looking for the draw in their remaining awaygames, I think.
Low stakes recomended.
Widzew-Legia 2 odds 2,0 @ Gamebookers
hahaa you are crazy, Arbiter
Great and funny analisys...
(I will also place a bet on Legia, you ve convinced me)....hehe I also have long hair.... :D :D
Trabzonspor - Bursaspor OVER 2.5 1.5 @ interwetten
I expect Trabzon to win with more than one goal, and Bursa is able to score too, so it could be even over 3.5.
Pick #6 for me:
Newell's Old Boys - Racing Club - H - 1.90 @ Centrebet
My preview here: http://www.bettingadvice.com/showPredictionsLeague.php?idMenu=274
Hornets- Lakers UNDER 190 @ Expekt
Lakers are after 2OT last night. On back-to-back game they probably won't be in so scoring mood. This is chance for first defeat of Lakers, but I'm leaning towards "under" as in last 10 under was 8-2. Sorry, I know it's too short explanation, I'll do better in the future.
Chicago-PHILADELPHIA(-4.0) email@example.com Expekt
Philly won 3 of 4 againt Chicago last season.
They won at Portland and lost after OT vs New Orleans with Glenn"Big Dog" Robinson in the roster.
Bulls won last game at Orlando after big loss against Houston home.
I see easy win for 76ers.
Pick 3 [NBA] Start 12.30 am [GMT]
INDIANA PACERS v Cleveland: 1 @ 1.31 [Pinnacle]
Indiana are going along nicely with a 4-1 Winning record so far this season, and have won the last three. In attack Jermaine O" Neal and Ron Artest are playing with lots of confidence.
The Cavaliers have continued their poor form from last season and have lost all 4 matches played. There is also a clear form link in favour of the Pacers here.Last wek they beat Denver 71-60,and then the next night Cleveland lost to the same team 93-89.
So its difficult to imagine Indiana not winning this match with reasonable comfort.
Ooops I was so caught up in my own idea of Timberwolves actually being favorites against Orlando that I never realized that the line actually was.
Orlando Magic-Minnesota Timberwolves (+1.5) 2 @ 2.06 - Pinnacle
