:!: Alloa v Peterhead :!:

Alloa lost their opener with 6-1 away at Cowdenbeath. As last year Alloa are expected to struggle in bottom of table.

Peterhead draw 1-1 at home with Brechin City in their opener.According to reports it was a fair result.Peterhead finished 3th last season and are one of the outsiders for promotion this season

Team news ; Alloa`s injury list got even longer this week after striker Michael Hazeldine picked up a knock during their 2-1 CIS Insurance Cup win over Forfar.

Hazeldine joins John Ovenstone (calf), Michael Stuart (metatarsal), David McClune (knee) and Ross Clark (ankle) on the sidelines, while Brian McColligan serves the second of a three-match ban against Peterhead.

However, there was good news as Fraser Forest (leg) came through the Forfar game with no adverse effects, while promoted Under-19 midfielder impressed again off the bench and could feature.

Manager Allan Maitland said: ``He played well and he has a good chance of starting.''

Peterhead midfielder Keith Gibson has been ruled out with a knee injury and will be forced to watch from the sidelines.

Brian Gilfillan, signed from Gretna, makes his debut and Chris Hegarty is fit but is likely to make do with a place on the substitute's bench.

``We've drawn and won in two away games so there will be no major changes,'' said manager Ian Stewart.

What about Brechin to win Stirling Albion?

In first round, Brechin took nice point at Peterhead while Stirling Albion suffer somehow dissapointing home loss to Ayr United. In midweek League Cup aktion Brechin won concurents for promotion Morton while Stirling lost at 3rd divison side Dumbarton. Injury situation seems to be in favour of Ayr according to BBC Brechin City v Stirling team news (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/scot_div_1/4785275.stm) , but it seems that teams are in quite opposite form currently. Also, Brechin won 10 of 11 last mutual meetings acording to this stats (http://www.betexplorer.com/soccer/scotland/scottish-2nd-division-2006-2007/nextmatch.php?matchid=6099572)
