Pick: Levski - CSKA X
Odds: 3.1 @ Sportingbet
Reasons:
In the last 2-3 years I usually pick the draw in the Classic Bulgarian derby. And I usually win too Wink
This Supercup clash is not too important for both teams, still a win over the archrival is always welcomed by the fans.
Levski will play the second leg in CL qualifiers next midweek against Sioni. The Blues have comfortable 2-0 advantage, yet this won't be just a walk in the park for them in Tbilisi. So I don't expect them to give 100 % of themselves today. Coach Stoilov won't rest the regulars, only Bardon and Wagner have minor injuries. Maybe they won't start the match, but Stoilov has adequate replacements for them - Milanov for Wagner and Domovchiiski or Koprivarov for the Frenchman Bardon. BTW Koprivarov came in as a substitute against Sioni and demonstrated very good form, as he showed in the friendlies too.
CSKA sold 3-4 important players, but I don't take seriously boss Bojkov's statement that they won't play for the title this year. CSKA is still the second best Bulgarian team, and they'll be extra motivated to prove themselves against Levski. Some players picked minor injuries in the UEFA clash too - Jakirovich, Martos and Robert Petrov. Their condition is unclear. Forward Da Zaadi is ready to play and will be a danger for Levski defense.
Both presidents declaired they will give extra bonus if their boys win it.
I doubt the coaches will be very happy if the game goes to extra-time, and maybe both will pick more offensive schemes. Nevertheless, I see the draw as worthy option to invest 2 or 3 units.
