agree haven't seen the match..it was only my personal opinion, however it still looks to me as an AW..
I've watched the match - it was on our national TV.
Varteks got lucky not to be demolished in that match. Albanians kept pressing and shoot on the goal, but that cursed ball just didn't want to score more than once.
As it was said in the older thread about the game hosted by Varteks, five good players left the club, the ones that remained can't take that kind of a pressure.

Read all those lines. Šafari***263; is Varteks' key player, the motor of the team. Without him, I'd say Varteks has no chances in Albania.
One thing for those who write on this forum, when you write something, please, pretty please, always put the link on the sources of your information. In some "predictions" today I've seen stuff about someone plays, someone is on vacation, someone is sacked... Really? Where did you get that? Actually, that wasn't a desperate goal, but Tirana goallie's mistake to box the ball exactly to Varteks' side player who scored instantly. I agree that the fair result would be 0:2 or 1:2, but as I said, the ball was definetly cursed... lol ;)
Anyway, one thing more I agree with REDON33: Go for the home win.

As it may be noticed, Ipša, who didn't play the first game against Tirana because of an injury is not mentioned anywhere, thus I conclude he's also questionable. Results from these friendly games we can't take as very important because two new players Ma***273;ari***263; and Papa who played there were not registered in time so they still can't play in UEFA matches.
It would be very nice if REDON33 or someone else from Albania would check if there is anything of importance on Tirana's official site or fans' forum:

Varteks has beaten Hungarian 1st division team 8-1! Maybe some hungarian can tell us if this is the best ZTE team: FC ZTE: Varga, Kocsardi, Sorin, Coka, Konya, Jozsi, Franvciskovi***263;, Ferenczi, Sebok, Simonfalvi i Horvath. Još su igrali: Pogacsics, Nagy, Waltner, Samson, Sagi, Molnar i Kotan?
Now they seem to be very optimistic about their chances of going through, and personally i believe that they can do it.

I dont understand why Safaric won´t play this week.He´s not injured or suspended.Imo it´s a confusion,the author means Ma***273;ari***263;.
Without Safaric Tirana would be a big banker,but with him Tirana is still favourite.
That's what Varteks' coach said, and yes, you're probably right, it's a possible mistake. Don't worry, I'll post when the exact list of players for that game gets public.
In the meantime, Varteks played the last friendly game against a 1st div. hungarian team (as mentioned in the thread before) and lost that one 3:1.
I can't find anything else worth mentioning, except that baw dropped the odds on Tirana to 2.10.
For me Tirana is obligated to win this match for some reasons:
1.The stadium will support them for all match and Sk Tirana fans(including me) are very rumorous and I think Varteks with a new team cannot be able to handle the pressure.
2.The first match in Croatia was played better from Tirana and the teams had differences in the mentality of getting the result so the experience of Tirana with many players in the national team is a favour for them.
3.Croatian Clubs seems very bad, Osijek was eleminated from Ethnikos Achnas(Cyprus) and Rijeka get a 2-2 in the first match against Omonia(Cyprus) so...
The odds here in Tirana are around 2.3-2.5 for the home win and I really love SkTirana but I love my money too so... :D :D :D

Varteks' players are traveling today to Albania by charter from Zagreb (anyone there who could check who's boarding?). So far there is no official info on who'll be on board and who stays at home. As soon as it's known, I'll post it here.
REDON33, please do follow any important info on Tirana. Besides that, Varteks' players will be staying at hotel named Tirana, so if that's near you, perhaps you could peek there to check the players' names on the reception if we don't find out who will play at Varteks side? ;)

I just read in the newspaper that FIFA and UEFA banned albania from all international matches :S This is a Bosnian newspaper, so they tend to make 'mistakes'. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

apparently politics is interferring with the football association..but as Extremist wrote, nothing has happened yet, and it has no effect on this game.

I've seen the match and I have too say with few words that the match was not fixed.
Varteks hit the bar but I think that bookmakers are used to block albanian matches so don't follow them.
I predicted days ago that Tirana will win this match but some others were for a classic away win :lol: :lol: :lol:.
