Norwich second game in preseason preparations after a 4-0 win over an amateur side few days ago. Now playing against Conference side Cambridge United before heading to a preseason camp in Scotland. In the first game Norwich played some mixed squad of reserves and a few first teamers, basicly fielding a different squad for both halves. Today it looks like they will test again a lot of players, trying to build on fitness. Good news is that star striker Earnshaw will play about 45 minutes.
Cambridge had a tough game against Histon, won on penalties after a 0-0 in the regular time and have some unfit players for this one. Most notable is club captain Peters, who is unlikely to be risked in this game.
Still Norwich is classes above their opponent today and even if they play lots of players I think Cambridge will rotate their squad too, so Cannaries still will be a much better side IMO.
I think its worthed to risk 1-2 units on Norwich today, but nothing big as its a friendly after all. 8)

Well, the available players might - but United don't generally take pre-season tours abroad very seriously. They're without virtually their entire squad - Fletcher, O'Shea, Rossi and Wes Browne will be around, and so will Solskjaeer and Scholes - but its probably not worth the risk at those odds.
I'm thinking about a couple of units on Fulham - because they dohave the majority of their players available here, and a couple who should be out to prove a point. They also have a few new signings - Bullard, a young Swdish striker and a young CB who should all want to make a good first impression. There's a few interesting little battles for places at Fulham this season - so I'd expect one or two of them to try to impress. Also, Coleman should be keen on seeing his side belt a few in, since later on the friendlies get a bit tougher - Boavista, for example.
Non-league Exeter did earn a commendable draw at Old Trafford in the FA Cup, but they're hard likely to put in the performance of their season in a pre-season friendly.
But, nothing more than a greedy little flutter - Fulham did lose to unexpected opposition last season in pre-season if my memmory serves me. 3/10, just cuz I miss English football!
First I liked the price for Millwall to win at Crawley as the ones, who follow Conference football are aware of the mess Crawley are in the past 5-6 months. Many palyers coming and going, no funds, owner having problems with authorities etc. Its a miracle Crawley didnt relegate from Conference, but its only due to a bizzare run of good form in the last few weeks.
Millwall got relegated and I am not sure they will be able to climb back into Championship division right away as they are having some finacial difficulties and doesnt have much funds for new transfers. Still a lot better team than Crawley so a win here was the most essential thing here, but:
- they just got back from Iceland, where they showed they are still extremely unfit and have a lot of work to do before new season kicks off.
- manager Spackman decided to play against Crawley players, who didnt travel to Iceland, so basicly Lions will field mainly second choice players and youngsters.
Thats why I dont find the price attaractive anymore and will skip this one.
MK Dons - Derby will be an interesting game for sure. The Dons did shocking transfer getting on board Martin Allen - Brentford manager. After the bees failed to win a promotion / again /  Brentford are having a serious budget cut. So Allen decided to leave Brentford, but the last place I expected to see hin was relegated MK Dons. However, I must say I like him a lot, because he is a real fighter and only a a small bunch of managers in Coca Cola league football can motivate their squads as much as he does.
As far as I know MK Dons are still managing to keep their best players, most notable - striker Mcleod, who is reported to be a transfer target of several League 1 and Championship clubs. Today he will captain the Dons team against his former club. I think Allen will field quite a strong team for this one.
On the other side the Rams got back from Austria, winning last friendly there against Gratkorn. In these friendlies manager Davies rotated about 20 players giving each and everyone of them some runout. Today he is expected to do the same, so we can expect about 20 Derby players to be involved in the game.
Still early in the preseasons, so you can always risk a bit. Therefor I will take MK Dons @3.30 with 1/10 at Bluesq now, 3.25 in other books. Risky, but Martin Allen boys might take the win here. 1X is better of course if you find it at the market.
