OK, after enjoying a very loooong winning streak, finally my losing streak has started again. Usually I go low during my losing streak, but in this comp., we can only go constant, so let's hope I can get back to winning.
Bohdan Ulihrach FIRST SET WINNER @ 1.85 vs Davide Sanguinetti
OK, first take a look at the match odds, it shows that Ulihrach is slightly favorite over Sanguinetti (1.81-1.83). Betfair is currently priced at 1.76-2.14 in favor for Ulihrach. So, Ulihrach's price is already above the market price. However, there is a strange display for the first set winner. Why should Sanguinetti be favorite 1.75-1.85 to take the first set? By no means Ulihrach is a slow starter and Sanguinetti is a good starter. So, I'll take the first set winner. The straight win for Ulihrach doesn't look bad for me, either.
Now about the match analysis. Ulihrach has already been prepared since he already played in Thailand for the Davis Cup against Srichaphan. I assume he stayed in Thailand after the Davis cup, giving him more preparation to adapt to this tournament. So, I expect him to have a good start. H2H is 1-0 for Ulihrach, although it was on clay and it was two years ago, so it's not very relevant.

Ventspils - Rosenborg HT/FT 2/2 @2.3
I've seen Ventspils in action lately. They are poor. They play on English Second Division level. Really - no good aspects of their play can be found. On the other hand - Rosenborg on fire. Last game won 6:0 away in Lillestrom (always tough terrain to win). They lost to Deportivo only 1:0 away and drawn 0:0 home. Lot of experience on their side and hey can win this one very easy with 3-4 goals. If Wisla Plock was capable of winning 1st half in Latvia, Rosenborg will win too.
Game will be played on neutral venue and this is yet another argument speaking for Rosenborg... High stakes recommended.

Today with so many UEFA Cup games I will choose one of them:
Austria - Borussia Dortmund Draw @ 3.25
Dortmund have very big problems with injuries - for this game out are players like : Amoroso, Evanilson, Frings , Christoph Metzelder, Leandro, Koller and Tomas Rosicky - their best creative player. Firstly without this players it will be very hard for Dortmund and secondly they are performing very bad on away games lately. But I think that Austria are not good enough to win. So my pick is draw.
My bet for this Wednesday also come from UEFA Cup
Metalurh Donetsk-Parma 2 @ 1.75
Parma have hired former Shaktar coach Nevio Scala to prepare tehm for this match. This clearly demonstrates that the Italians take this game extremely seriously. Taking into account that Parma have had a terriffic start to the season winning at Lazio this weekend tells me that they are two or even three levels above Metalurh.. a team that lost 0-8 to Bremen last season.
Olimpija - Liverpool 2 @ 1,42
Need an explanation or it's obvious? Well, I rarely bet on team that I support, but this time I just can't resist. Liverpool is in great form. Seems like they finally find perfect style that suits to main players. Owen will start up front as he is chasing Ian Rush's club record in European goals. Few players may be rested (like Kewell and Gerard), but still those replacements are far better then Slovenian players. Olimpija is weak for this level even without few injuries of important players, and with those injuries I really can't see them resist the Reds.

The best team in Scotland after old firm is playing middle table Bosnian team with some financial problems.Hearts obviously were saving themselves in weekend lost from Rangers (0-4), this game is their "match of the season"...

Can Handanagic, Aljancic and others stop Owen? hm not. I heard that Owen is 100% in but if he isn`t he will surley be later on so i see only victorie for Liverpool with margin of two-three goals. OVER is here...but just as im writing it started to rain havily so.....

And why OVER? I expect both teams to score in this game and so OVER game is probable. Both have above average defence on the other hand solid forwards. Slavia know that Sartid have not strong defensive line and they came to score. Odds are relly good IMO.

As there is no HT/Ft bet available for this match this is the biggest odd for Liverpool for today.
This match is one of the biggest bankers I've ever seen. I see no chances for Olimpija to make any kind of good performance today. They are really out of form. It's true that it's raining in Ljubljana but it will stop soon. And even if it rains I still believe that Liverpool will win with at least two goals margin. With Owen and all the other stars they will shock Olimpija's defence and other players. Olimpija has some problems with injuries on key players so they really will lose big time today!

I really see Grasshoppers as very inconsistent team. They had two 4-0 lossess about a month ago and are not doing very well in the league so far. Hajduk is really improving team, I'm not sure if they're going to win this one but it is the value that lies on them.

Going against all the other predictions on this one, but I must say I expect something to come out of the Romanian's complaints concerning the refereeing of the Denmark v Romania (2-2) game a few weeks ago... If not convinced, you can try the home win in the tough game between Dinamo Bucuresti and Shakhtar Donetsk later on tonight !!! I fully expect at least one out of the two games above to go the Romanian's way...
Or, maybe, UEFA will be too angry and come down hard on Romanian teams ??? We'll see :wink:

Ok, here i am. It's time to take some risks since i would love to be back on top-10 of the competition and here's my chance:
Dundee v Perugia - 2/2 - 3.25
I strongly believe that Perugia can win here. Under normal circumstances i should bet on the away win, but because of the competition i have to risk a little bit more. This is to avoid any missunderstandings later.
Well, Dundee is an average team (as almost all teams in Scotland, except Celtic and Rangers). I can read at the forum that they r not something special and i am with the italians this time.
Perugia is here now because of Intertoto games. They have started their pre-season training early, so this means that they should be fit enough for this game. Of course, a draw wouldbn't be a bad result, but i remember that we were saying the same thing before the second leg at Intertoto final against Wolfsburg (i was backing the germans too these days).
Perugia had scored an early goal and i still have in mind the italian members' warnings: "Gaucci wants his team to go to UEFA". So, r the ambitions finished? "No" is the answer imo. The italians have full squad for this game, they play descent football, they know how to achieve their goal and i hope that my compatriot Vryzas will score at first half and he will help me move higher on the table of this competition :).
