Tomas Rosicky will miss the Czech Republic's FIFA World Cup warm-up against Costa Rica on Tuesday because of a thigh injury.
Rosicky, who last week signed for Arsenal for Ł8 million ($14.91 million), could not train with his team mates on Sunday after picking up the injury in the friendly against Saudi Arabia on Friday.
Team officials said the midfielder spent Sunday undergoing rehabilitation on the leg injury and would travel to the northern city of Jablonec, where the Czechs play Costa Rica, but would not play.
Rosicky's injury only adds to the woes of coach Karel Brueckner, who is already without the services of midfielder Vladimir Smicer, who suffered a setback in his recovery from a leg injury last week and may not play any part in Germany.
In addition, striker Jan Koller is still coming back to fitness after several months out following knee surgery, as is fellow striker Vratislav Lokvenc.
"We'd like to play at least one half with our first choice line-up, but we won't do it if it involves any risks," Brueckner said.
The Czechs play Trinidad and Tobago on Saturday in their final warm-up friendly match before facing the United States on 12 June in their first match in the FIFA World Cup™.

Anyway it looks as a banker. Don't You think?
Costa Rica is really poor team. Last time they lost against Ukraine 4-0, where could be 7-0 easy.
Czechs without few players are still hard team and they will win it easy IMO.
So I'll take it HT/FT 1/1 @1.80 in betandwin for some big stakes.

I thought that Koller won't play and Baros will.
Anyway I think that Bruckner will make a lot of rotates in that match.

Anyway I think that Bruckner will make a lot of rotates in that match.
Bruckner will use all 6 substitions, which is qouta for this match. Due to injury of Rosicky in match wit Saudi Arabia, Bruckner says that healthy od players is more important, that our todays opponent and result.
Koller will play for 100% sure, he will be in starting lineup.
