I am amazed that this competition is really competitive...

Fulham vs Manchester City OVER 2.5 @ 1.85

Two statistically "over" team meet each other. So a high scoring game is expected:
Man. City's latest results: at Charlton W 3-0, Portsmouth D 1-1, at Blackburn W 3-2, Arsenal L 1-2, Aston Villa W 4-1
Fulham's latest results: Middlesbrough W 3-2, at Everton L 1-3, at Tottenham W 3-0, at Birmingham City D 2-2
From the above records, we know that MC is averaging 3.6 goals per game while Fulham is averaging 4 goals per game. Moreover, in their last game against Birmingham, Fulham still managed to score with only 10 men on the field. So, there's a good chance the match will be over 2.5.

After last bad result (Arsenal lost) I had some luck and couldn't opsted my pick of the day for 19th (I would lost since I wanted to choose Wisla...). Now I got to risk in odrer to still be considered as a pretender to title :)...

And the winner is: Koln-Wolfsburg AWAY @2.8
You can check prewiev made by Lakini in German section of the forum. Nevertheless, some words from me :] - I really like Wolfsburg, they are my favourite team in Bundesliga, mainly because they used to be 'polish team'. Now they have great d'Alessandro, who's coming back to this game after suspension. I believe that Baiano, new signig can maintain his 'hot streak' and score also in Koln...

Although Wolfsburg is without any point and goal on the road it has to change... I believe it's the time. Koln lost to poor M'Gladbach, Kaiserslautern, Schalke (who isn't playing as good as usual) and TSV. They won with BVB, but Dortmund was thinking more about confrontation with Brugge in that game...

Match: Farnborough v Chester City
Pick: Away win
Odds: 1.80

Comments: Promotional hopefuls Chester travel to a very very dismal Farnborough who cannot seem to be able to get anything right these days. Rooted to the bottom of the table after 8 games winning none and drawing 3...it would be another tough day at home when they take on Chester. Chester would look to continue their good form and win here. 4 straight wins sees them in 2nd place and 3 points behind leaders Hereford. Slip-ups would indeed be very costly here as they are never expected to lose at such oppositions if they were to give themselves any chance to even challenge for the promotion. And to add some extra motivation to the side...Hereford LOST!

Tottenham v Southampton 2 @3.25

Prediction, emm, well Tottenham are ****.e team, bad form. Southampton on a run, beated MU f.e. Tottenhma have better h2h in this matches but Southmapton on 6th place, tottenham on 17th. Southampton have so tight defence and Tottenham seems to have no players that can score against them easily, they don`t have Beattie and Phillips to say it more concrete.

Wolverhampton v Chelsea @ 1x @ 2.24

Wolverhampton is probably the worst team in the league.

Southampton FC Wolverhampton Wanderers 2:0
Wolverhampton Wanderers Portsmouth 0:0
Manchester United Wolverhampton Wanderers 1:0
Wolverhampton Wanderers Charlton Athletic 0:4
Blackburn Rovers Wolverhampton Wanderers 5:1

Only 1 draws in 5 matches. But, I think Wolverhampton can make surprise.
Chelsea is in good form WDWW. I think Chelsea will not take this game too seriously.
I'll take 1x
Good luck

Hannover 96 v Borrusia Mönch Over @ 1.65
The home side's matches were all more than 2,5 goals...and the fact is that in all but one of them Hannover scored more than 3 goals...regarding that its defence is not so good,i predict a match with many goals and probably a clear victory for the home team...Borrusia has to score at least twice to get a point but Forsell plays to Birmingham this year, their defence can't stop the fabulous Hannover strikers

CHELSEA @1.5

WOLWERHAMPTON v CHELSEA

Chelsea is a big team which scores a lot of goals.
Tuesday, Chelsea played against Sparta so players will continue to fight with the Champions League's spirit and rigour.
Wolverhampton is at the end of the standing with only 1 goal scored.

Germany - 1.Bundelsiga:

Werder Bremen : 1860 Munchen - 1 @ 1.7

Werder is one of those teams I like betting on. They are not the best team in Germany but still have a very good team. They always make some surprises with beating top teams. This time they play against the team that began season quite well. Both teams have 10 points but Munchen played more games at home than Werder.
This time I believe it's time for Munchen to lose. Werder only lost once this season and it was away to Borussia Dortmund where is almost impossible not to lose.
That match is going to be over 2.5 goals for sure but the odd is better for home win so I took this one.

Jolemalin as far as i can se at this moment is Chelsea only 1.42 and not 1.5! It was yesterday 1.5 but today is not any more. So I have a question. Do we take the first odd we see at gamebookers two days before the pick of the day day comes or we take the odd which is available on this day. I had to take lower odd twice already so I think it's quite not fair to take the odd you saw two days ago.

Swit vs Amica 2 @1.85

Poland 1.div

A bit shorter odds then @ other bookies(2.15) but nevertheless I'll take them. Swit is a newcomer to the league and don't stand much of a chance vs Amica who is a title contender. This match is played on neutral venue which is a one more + for Amica. Amicas' defence will not allow any goals from Swits' puny attack. Best bet of the weekend for me. A clear "away" win.

Ross Countyto beat Ayr United @1,63

Ayr are struggling, their manager, Campbell Money, with a young side, admitted: "I have always worked hard but I have never worked harder than I am doing now." Today they face leader of the table Ross County who are boosted by excellent away win over Falkirk last round. As I read some racaps that was absolutely deserved victory so having it in mind I simply don't expect upset today against Ayr United.

My 6th pick in this competition will be :

Ancona - Modena Draw @ 2.90

In this game will play 2 teams which main aim is to stay clear of relegation. Ancona started the season with enormous problems, especially with signing new coach, after Luigii Simone who lead the team to his promotion left the club. They signed Carlo Mazzone's assistant but in my opinion he is not a coach to lead team in Seria A. Modena started the season with new coach too as they signed former Parma manager Alberto Malesani but they are playing very bad too. Both teams started with 2 looses and will be willing now to take the first points. Modena haven't scored a goal in first 2 games and Ancona scored just one. So I was thinking to bet on exact score 0:0 but I decided to take just Draw.

My pick #5:

Koln (-0,25) - Wolfsburg (+0,25) 2 @ 1,75

Wolfsburg is still without a single point on travel. I expect VW team to finish in top 6 this year and for doing this they must start to win points away from home. D'Alessando is back into team after suspension and I hope he learned a lesson about behaving on the field. New player Baiano started to score immediatly after joning the squad, Klimovitz and Petrov are in good form. Wolfsburg's win @ 2,80 is just great, in my opinion, and this asian handicap (half stakes are winning in case of a draw) looks very promising, too.

Good luck!

/GER1/: FC Koln - Wolfsburg - 1, odds: 2.30 @ GB

This is a clash between two teams with identical approach of winning points - they both rely mainly on home wins. FC Koln didn't play bad vs. 1860 Munich but lost in the end. Of course we still remember the impressive Wolfsburg win over Bayern but if we take a look at their current away form, the things don't look that bright: losses from (Stuttgat 0-2, Dortmund 0-4, and 1860 Munich 0-1) and at the same time Wolfsburg scored 11 goals in their last 3 home games. I think this explains the strategy of the team and I think this game will make no difference.
The main problem of FC Koln is the defense. But now with Dogan back in the squad after injury this may be fixed a bit and remember Koln managed to beat Dortmund at home so I don't see why they won't be able to beat weak away team like Wolfsburg?

my pick#10
italian serie A
SIENA-EMPOLI X@2.95
my view of this match is Siena will be attack and Empoli takes best italian taktics-counterattack.Chiesa is good but if Siena don't score quickly will be nervous and can be goalless draw,if Empoli score first (quickly Di Natale) from counterattack or other player from set pieces:corners, free kicks.Siena with attack Chiesa/Ventola will be angry and can level at 1-1.
Last week they can't score Inter equaliser so probably this time do it.
Very probably draw but not under.(0-0,1-1,2-2).Empoli play with the same squad as season ago.Siena bought much players and they need time.Flo even not be substitute.Ventola weak, only Chiesa be dangerous.

MY PICK GOES FOR;
*****************

Istanbulspor v Besiktas (1:0) ; DRAW @3.60

I think ISTANBULSPOR will score one goal.. So my bet goes for the RESULT 2-1...

Anyway.. If BESIKTAS will win this match , than not with more than 2 goals..
ISTANBUSPOR attacking perfect...

BESIKTAS may not start with ZAGO today.. And SERGEN is also injured.. AHMET HASSAN to play in first 11 is the worst thing that can happen to BESIKTAS..

AHMET HASSAN has to learn playing for the team , not for himself...

SINAN - ILHAN MANSIZ in first 11 with a TUMER from midfield.... AGAISNT SCORING MANIA ISTANBUSLPOR !!!!

So BESIKTAS and ISTANBUL will both play ver OPEN !!!

And the OVER 2.5 has a GREAT VALUE too..
I'm sure on OVER here.. But for the odds and for being a BESIKTAS FAN do i take the HANDICAP DRAW !!!

******************************

Let's kick emm all !!!

Leeds United v Birmingham:2(3.15GB)

I have never seen a PL team play as bad as Leeds did against Leicester!!!
I can not understand why they perform such bad football and how they managed to concede 4 goals against a weak Leicester...my money is on Birmingham here because they play better football...as simple as that....

Half Time 20 Sep 03 18:00 Siena v Empoli
Home Draw Away / 2.70 2.05 3.45

Siena is new in Serie A and today has to prove that can win against Empoli that played awful in the 2 matches from the beginnig of the championship and that may be in Serie B next year .
I am enthoustiastic with Siena matches till now because plays aggressive football and even have not win till now , for sure plays well. (2-2 with Peruggia, 0-1 with Inter).

So, I will trust Siena today and I believe that from first half will lead in the score that is why I pick :

Home win at HT @2.70

English Div.1

Sheffield Utd v Cardiff C., 2 @ 3.80

Sheffield side has many absentees for todays match. From which the most important are Kabba, Brown, Kenny, Page (the marshall of the Blades defence), while Morgan is doubtful. Brown is the most influential player in the midfield, while the traditionally famous Blades defence is very vulnerable without Page.
On the other hand, Cardiff is showing signs that they can compete for a place in the play-offs in their first year of Div.1 football. They fight hard all the games, especially away, and I can see them taking advantage of the weakened Sheffield Utd defence.

Away win at a tempting 3.80 from Gamebookers.

Bayern - Leverkusen 1 HC 0-1 2.25

Bayern has a great record against Bayer with 9 consecutive wins, most of them with over 2 goals handicap.
Last 5 games: 3-0,2-0,2-0,4-1,2-0

Besides as Lakini says Bayern always wins important games and its difficult to lose 2 games in a row...

Bayern without Scholl,Jeremies,Deisler but there are still many many good players to be in starting eleven.

Last Wendesday Bayern won Celtic after a very hard match, but this win gave them big confidence coz the score was 0-1 at 72'...Bayern proved once more that is the team that never dies....

Albinoleffe v Fiorentina pick AWAY @ 2.65

Albinoleffe till now has 2 defeats and has shown nothing good that can keep the team at serie b.
Fiorentina til now has 2 draws 1-1 played quite good and if the team wants to be treated as a candidate for promotion, this match is a great chance to show.

So i will go for a fiorentina win over a team not "known" who's place i think it is not in this division.

It's a late pick but I'm just home from work (where we don't have internet access) so I hope you'll count it.

Newcastle-Bolton 1@ 1,53

Newcastle has started out miserably, but they did playu better last game when Bellamy returned to play alongside Shearer.
Now we all know what a strong home team Newcastle usually is and I think their first home win will come today. Bolton just does not have enough power to stand up here.

The match has already started, but I think it's better to say this now: Per, I won't count that pick. I'm usually not that hard on deadlines, but 13 minutes is just too little time. There are more games later today, so I hope you'll be able to find another good pick. Sorry if I spoiled your chance to grab the title!

French League 1, Auxerre v Bastia, 1, odds 1,7

Auxerre is beginning to find good form. They are a solid home team, 2-0-1 this season. Bastia is a mediocre team, 1-1-1 away this season. H2H statisticks also speaks for home win: out of nine meetings Auxerre has taken 8.

My pick of the day comes from Women's World Cup in USA:

Germany to beat Canada @ 1.40

The price is nothing special, but maybe good in a combo. In these big tournaments, there are few upsets and I don't think the German favourites will have any problems against Canada. Many experts predict Germany to win the tournament and I think it's poissible, but first of all they need to win games like this one. I don't have any detailed information (injuries, etc.), but Germany is in good form and definitely stronger than Canada.

Caterbury Bulldogs - Melbourne Storm 1 1.35

Very short odds but this match is being played in Sydney and during the day, two things that Melbourne is not accustomed too, they have also not beaten the Bulldogs in thier last 8 encounters and their last match went 58-4 to the Bulldogs. Also after last weeks loss thew Dogs will be looking to take it out on the storm, should be an wasy win.
