Tranmere Rovers at home:
4 2 2 0 9:4 8

Gillingham away:
4 0 3 1 2:5 3

Tranmere, currently 11th in the league table, will face Gillingham (20th) after suffering a 3-1 defeat against Southend United in their last league match, while Gillingham managed to get big morale boost after some dreadful results lately, with fantastic 3-2 victory against Portsmouth in the Carling Cup Second Round at Priestfield on Tuesday.
Guests are still winless awa from home this season and are curently on a run of 5 games without a win overall, while Tranmere is playing (again) hot-cold and although they are real playoff material they find themselves in the middle of the table. I believe that they will soon be on a winning streak and why not starting with today.

Tranmere will most probably name unchanged squad for the clash vs. Gillingham while the guests are havingthier two defenders Chris Hope and Ian Cox ruled out through injury.

I'll be glad to back my favourite team in this league at this price.

Pick: Tranmere to win @ 1.90 (Multibet) for 6/10.

That's one of my pics for today's matches. Brentford is 4th with seventeen points and only two away from the top of the table. This is a high motivation for this team. Brentford will be without the captain Newman who is going to be put under an operation and his absence is for sure. Frampton is with a red card and is not gonna participate. Bristol, however, is in crisis and has 4 away losses in a row. The chairman of the team was fired. The team is 23rd and 0 points won as an away team.

PICK - 1

I wanted to take this pick but after Bristol City appointed Gary Johnson as their new manager (former Yeovil manager) I decided to gather some more informations. I usually don't go against teams with new manager in his first game...

This match puts head to head two teams who are close in the table, only 3 points separates them, but in my opinon it's clear who's gonna win this one.

>This game finds Tranmere with a record of 2-2-1, they lost against Southend, draw against Bournemouth and Bradford City and won against Chesterfield and Swindon Town having a 6-5 scoring record. Notice that they won against teams who are below them in the table, draw against teams who are the same as them and lost to a team that is in third place.
>Gillingham have a dreary 0-1-4 record in their last 5 matches, conceding no more than 11 goals and only making 2. They managed a draw against Brentford and lost against Nottm Forest, Rotherham, Barnsley and Oldham, teams who are more or less about Tranmere class.

>Tranmere lost their last match at Southend(3-1), despite the cours of the game. The firs half wasn't so great, without many scoring chances, but only two mistakes from Tranmere made it possible for Southend to reach brake time with a 2-0 advantage. A goal from Facey less than a minute in the second half brought Rovers back into the game. After that the game was really played in only one half, in Southend's one. Tranmere had some big chances to score but they faield and in the 81th minute Goater scored again to make it 3-1.
>The last match played by Gillingham, in the league, ended 0-1. The Gills fell behind in the fifth minute when Chris Killen put Oldham ahead and until the finish they didn't manage to get back though they had couple of chances, at specially in the second half.

The teams

Offence
>Tranmere has Chris Greenacre, a pretty good striker who scored 5 times till now, also Casey is showing a very good form, scoring twice in the last 2 games.
>Gillingham doesn't have such a greate offence; their best scorer is Darren Byfield with only 2 goals and they can't say they have a partener for him up front.

Midfield
>Tranmere has a good playmaker in the person of Jason McAteer and a great winger, Sam Aiston. Also for Tranmere will play Nicky Summerbee who just signed a contract and in his debut last week he showed some good things.
>At Gillingham none of the midfielder started all the games, the only one that got to play in all their matches was Michael Flynn starting 7 and coming on 2 times. That means that they failed yet to find a leader.

Defence
>Tranmere has a very homogeneous team at the back, 3 of the players playing in all their matches, also they score goals more then usual. Gareth Roberts has been in Tranmere's starting line-up for over 6 years and being at the back hasn't stopped him from scoring important goals, this year he scored twice. Ian Goodison is a strong and fast player at the back and Michael Jackson is also a good center defender, he also scored this season but only once.
>Gillingham is also homogeneous as the back, but they have big problems for this match. Captain Chris Hope and Ian Cox who form solid partnership at the back are both out and it will be hard for the manager to find good substitutes.

Goalkeeper
>Tranmere gooalkeeper is John Achterberg, another veteran of the club he has been in the starting line-up for the last 7 years. This season he shows a pretty good form.
>This is the only place where Gillingham don't have any problems. Their goolkeepe is Jason Brown the first choice for the Wales under-21 squad.

Another factor that may prove to be fatal for Gillingham is the fact that they played this week a match in the Carling Cup, against Portsmouth, a game which went intro extra time, while Tranmere didn't play, they're more rested.

My Pick:
Tranmer to win with 1.8@GB

Swansea v Nottingham Forest 2.00 3.25 3.40

Swansea manager Kenny Jackett is sweating on the fitness of Adebayo Akinfenwa who is recovering from a hamstring injury, leaving Lee Thorpe and Lee Trundle as the only available strikers to face the former European champions.
Paul Connor will be sidelined for a month with a hamstring injury.
Leon Britton, meanwhile, returns from suspension but Kris O'Leary (ankle), Owain Tudur-Jones (ankle) and Adrian Forbes (knee) are still out.

Nottingham Forest manager Gary Megson is also sweating on the fitness of Gino Padula (calf) and Spencer Weir-Daley (shoulder), while question marks hang over strikers Gareth Taylor (knee) and Scott Dobie (groin).
Utility player John Thompson is a major doubt for Forest after picking up a knee injury during the 3-1 midweek victory over Bristol City.
Defender Danny Cullip (hamstring) is certain to miss out again, while Gary Holt's broken ribs means he too will be absent.

i'll stick with Swansea "goal scoring machine" for another over 2.5 match as Swansea @ home scoring 3 goals per match and conceeding 1 goal,
Nottingham Forest away scoring 1.5 goals and conceeding 2 goals per match. Looks good to me.

Over 2.5 @ 1.75 (gamebookers) 5/10
Home win @ 2.00(gamebookers) 3/10

GL to all!

Yeovil vs Port Vale = X (Draw)
Her seat will try to defend tonight Yeovil, but as its mission are exceptionally difficult, after it receives the enough capable and ambitious Port Vale, at all probability it will remain satisfied even with the draw.

Colchester vs Huddersfield = X (Draw)
Mediocre is the start of Colchester, that is found already in the 17th place of classification. Huddersfield, that it shows capable to sure claims even its rise in the Championship, will want to leave with authorisation the hands.

Barnsley vs Doncaster = 1 (Home Win)
The occasion to add three precious degrees in its general total has tonight Barnsley, one and except that inspires confidence in the inside its seat games, Doncaster to strike exceptionally feeble him to threaten.

Blackpool vs Milton Keynes = 1 (Home Win)
The positive run will want to continue also Blackpool, that last fighting extracted draw in the seat of Bristol City. Milton Keynes that is found in the bottom of classification will be supposed to try enough in order to ensure its eve in the category.

Brentford vs Bristol City = X (Draw)
Its return in the first place of classification to want Brentford and today will make utmost in order to mark one still precious victory. Bristol City, even if it realised a disappointing start will make that passes from its hand in order to claims a positive result.

Oldham vs bournemouth = X (Draw)
Egual little above the middle of classification they are the 2 teams that try to approach still more the privileged places of League 1. the draw at all probability will leave satisfied and the 2.

Rotherham vs Southend = 1 (Home Win)
Imperative need considers the current victory Rotherham with a view to maintain its contact with the privileged places of classification. We risk in the ace.

Scunthrope vs Walsall = X (Draw)
Absolutely satisfactory is the except seat course of Walsall (1-2-1), make that sure will complicate Home team. Even if Scunthrope will try to defend its seat, with difficulty it will prevent Walsall to leave with having to extract at least the degree of draw.

Swindon vs Bradford = 1 (Home Win)
Escape from the tail of classification tries Swindon, that considers their board of salvation three precious degrees. Proposed point the ace as that home team sure it will want to still passes one fighting without degrees.

Swansea vs Nottingham = X (Draw)
Can Swansea find itself in the top of classification, but with opponent the ambitious and enough capable Nottingham with difficulty it will mark a satisfactory result. The draw strikes very likely one and the 2 will want they remain in the positive results.

Tranmere vs Gillingham = 1 (Home Win)
Weakness has presented Gillingham in its output in the except its seat games and at all probability neither today it will accomplish to mark something appreciable. Tranmere strikes as the favorite for victory.

Chestefield vs Hartlepool = 1 (Home Win)
In the limits of area of demotion is found Hartlepool rather nor the current game will help to claim a more appreciable place. Home team shows enough capable of still a victory. [/b]

8) Swindon vs Bradford**- never Homewin!!
Bradford has the experience to play better away from home and this year they have the ability to promote..and furthermore the rvengefactor for the losss against Swindon last year should boost them really up!!
