I would like info especially about Slavia Prague... :wink:
Do our friends from Czech Republic believe in Slavia's qualification?
Slavia´s last game in Czech Gambrinus league was like a thriller. Slavia´s coach Jarolím let some first choice players on the bench and that prooved to be a bad idea. Their opponent - Jablonec - was in 2 goal lead after just 4(!) minutes. Slavia´s players became nervous, they were slow and unable to perform simple passes. 27th minute after kick-off, Midfielder Piták (probably the best player of Slavia´s current squad) was sent to match, Jablonec however dominated the first half and also had other goal opportunities (posts, last second kick from a goal line).
In the second half Jablonec started to play too defensively, but Slavia didn´t crush them until the last 15 minutes of the match. They scored three-times (76´ Kraj***269;ík, 82´ Piták, 86´ vento)
Coach Jarolím hopes that events in that match can psychically help the squad before the match against Anderlecht.
Slavia´s current greatest problem is set-pieces defending. Slavia conceded 6 goals this season and all of them were scored after set-piece. On the other hand, against Jablonec scored Slavia twice after set-pieces (indirect free kick and corner kick).

In my opinion, the new odds are correct because teams from Czech Republic are always strong at home.

Tottaly agree, now we have more fair odds... Anderlecht can't be favory on that match

Haha, yup, u know ... he was on fire vs GBA and had this "killer-look" on his face again ... something he didn't have for a long time, being frustrated ... He'll probably start upfront with Mpenza (Serhat on the bench).
Imho this match will be better suited for RSCA than the home match was, cos Slavia played hard defence then, and now RSCA can and will counterattack, and that's what they're good in with the good wings Goor and Wilhelmsson and with Mpenza and Jestrogol upfront ...

IMO this is an over game.
1st leg Slavia was defending and counter attack they scored 1 away goal.Now they need 1 more to qualify but if Anderlecht scored twice in Belgium against the defending Slavia i think they can score in Prague too in counter attacks.
So i will go for over and for away win in small stakes.

Let me start with a match played exactly two years ago.
Praha 27.8.2003 - Slavia Praha - Celta Vigo 2:0 after losing 3 - 0 in the first match Slavia played great football and had real chances to get the match into the overtime.
This is Slavia line up from that match - Slavia: Kozá***269;ik - L.Doek, Bejbl, Petrou, Hrdli***269;ka / 29./ (73. Latka) - Piták (81. Fo***345;t), Dostálek / 17./, Mil.Zachariá , Skácel - T.Doek, Kuka (60. Adauto).
I do not think that todays Slavia has worse team (Kozá***269;ik - vec, Hole***328;ák, Latka, Zbon***269;ák - Piták, Suchý, Jarolím, Gedeon, vento - Vl***269;ek) than against Vigo.
According to Czech papers all players are ready for the match.
I believe that both teams has equal chances to qualify. Maybe 60% for Anderlecht, but if that is going to be Slavia, there will arise a question - Why to have all those expensive players as Anderlecht has, when they are not able to get across Slavia - a club, which get rid of most players with bigger contracts????
For punters - if you believe in names, go for Anderlecht. if you think that no-name team can win go for Slavia. Not very usefull. I know :lol:

Slavia will field strongest possible lineup whatever that means cause everything depends on 3-4 players.
I would not overestimate Slavia´s clear out from 0-2 to 3-2 in league because they played monster crap untill 75 min then Jablonec simply gave up they thought that everything is clear and then simply cant stop Slavia´s train.
For me 2,6 on Anderlecht is amazing and i have to take it.
I went on Slavia official site but i couldn't find any injuries ... :( So that means that everybody is fit , or no ?

According to today papers: everybody is fit. Captain (DM) Gedeon missed the last league match, but has been training since Sunday. Svec is also ready after an ankle injury. Strahov stadion (how ugly :( ) is sold out.

im gonna play on home win here low stakes 3/10 because of the reason that is very hard to win a game in eastern europe
+ anderlecht are not a very good team , last year they lost all game in CL

4 or more goals is one my favourite picks, but in this game I doubt. Czech teams are among the most Under teams in the world :lol:, especially at home /away they can concede 4 goals and no problem :lol: /.

hope to hear view from friends here who are familiar with slav and andelet playing style about their probable respective approach to this game. I strongly feel that the game will have to be very open at one point or another during the match...therefore thinking of going in heavy on over 2.25 at odd 1.45 to ease my pain from yesterday bad decisions. tks man. im bleeding and hope to have a chance to stop the bleed.

Its simply not true.Slavia is not 2nd best Czech team, but about 6th..
And this match was even much worse then regular Slavia performance.
And Anderlecht didnt impress me much too, except Kompany and Serhat.
