Bayern Munchen-Monchegladbach 1.36 4.25 9.00
Odds are not very nice but still worth to bet on. Average odds on Bayern worth to bet 1.21 and in last 3 years bilance together in Munich 3-0-0.
I do not expect nothing else than 1

Hamburg SV-Nurnberg FC 1.60 3.65 5.50
here the odds could be higher but Nurnberg never posed real thread on baltic sea claming just 4 wins since 1963 and will not happen on Saturday 2005.

Koln-Mainz 2.05 3.25 3.50
I would avoid this game. I do not have any face-to face statistics.Although odds on home win should be worth to spend few euros, we do not know how Koln will play in Bundesliga 1. let's wait with this team.No bet 4 me.

Duisburg-Stuttgart 2.75 3.35 2.40
Same applies here. Duisburg came back after few years in Bundesliga 2 and it is no bet for me or you can try away win. No bet 4 me.

Schalke04-Kaiserslautern 1.65 3.65 5.00
Home team played good last season and although before they were not so strong at home I assume first round they will start with win against Kaiserslautern. bet 1

Wolfsburg-Dortmund 2.65 3.15 2.60
Tough game.Wolfsburg is good home team and odds are just fine, but what scares me is last two away wins of Borusia with them. Odds on Dortmund are nice as well and I would go for 12

Frankfurt-Leverkusen 2.75 3.35 2.40
Frankfurt lost last four games against Bayer before relegation and now is back in Bundesliga. I think will be tough game and more chances for Bayer, although it is not greatest away team. Try 2 and cover on X

Hannover96-Hertha 2.60 3.15 2.65
If everything goes similar as last season just pick up Hertha which won last two games and cover on X. Statistically with current odds is worth to bet on both teams but I prefer Hertha which was good in away ames last season. 2 0:0AH

[b]Bremen-Bielefeld 1.45 4.00 7.25
Well in 12 games in Bremen just one draw and rest home wins. What do you think is worth to bet on. Everybody can think whatever he likes but I bet on home team. 1

I don't know German language but I think it's very important info that I founded in Borussia Monchengladbach homepage:

Wegen Verletzungen fehlen weiterhin Jörg Böhme, Christian Ziege, Bernd Thijs, Oliver Kirch und neuerdings auch Wesley Sonck (Rippenbruch) - alle fünf werden in München definitiv nicht zur Verfügung stehen. Bleibt es bei diesem Stand, muss Köppel außer einem Torwart also noch zwei Spieler streichen, um auf 18 Akteure für das München-Spiel zu kommen.

Maybe some Borussia fan could write what players in/out the club and translate text above. Bayern probably will play the strongest line up with Ballack, Pizarro, Ze Roberto, Ismael. Lahm is injuried and won't play for hohoho time.

Bayern 1.35 looks very sexy

Because of injuries are Jörg Böhme, Christian Ziege, Bernd Thijs, Oliver Kirch and Wesley Sonck not available for the game in Munich. All these five players are definitive out. If is settled, coach Köppel must cancel one Keeper and two players to come on 18 players for the match in Munich.

A league like bundesliga has always the aunexpected especially in the first 4 rounds.Teams like Bayern,Schalke,Werder,Stuttgart,Dortmunt ,b.Leverkusen are always aiming the top.In our situation we are betting and money rules. In the past four years a team from the list above had a bad beginning althought all expected that they would lead from the beginning on.(remember how Bayern begun the bundesliga last year..).
This years bundesliga begins again with Bayern having the upper hand....when other teams try to relocate their needs and what they really want.
So in my opinion anybody wants to bet in the first round of Bundesliga must first look the history report of all teams and how they apear in the first round and then has to wait to hear the starting lines and if the rotation used was the one used in the friendly matches...

Last minute bet is the apropriate way for this round!Hope to have some news on Saturday! Thanks and good luck!

Borussia Mönchengladbach's coach Horst Köppel prefers this starting 11:

Keller - Bögelund, Helveg, Strasser, Jansen - Oude Kamphuis, Kluge, Heinz - Broich - Sverkos, Neuville

So, none of the injured players were projected to start. But anyway, they will be missed very much, because the bench will be very, very thin without them. Imo Gladbach's only chance not to lose is that Bayern will underestimate them (something similar to last season - Gladbach took the lead after 60 and some mins and Bayern won at the end 2:1, with Craig Moore sent off around 70th min) - the class difference between these two sides is huge!

Does anyone have a statistics of last season? I would like to know how many matches ended in over 2,5. As I remember Bundesliga have the highest average on goals and continous betting over whole season on over could be very profitable.

Totally agree with you, wigaldboning...

In the complete season we will see, that Trap is coach in Stuttgart...
UNDER 2,5 goals is the best pick for 1. Bundesliga this weekend (and this season) :)

Another good pick is Frankfurt 1X DC or AH... Leverkusen played very poor in League Cup, I´m sure they will not win in Frankfurt!

I think in this first round this match is the one that is to bet.In the first look it seems that it is difficult but in my opinion Koln came to the big category to stay and make a great effort. On the other hand Mainz had a very good last year season but they havent done anything during the transfer period to reorganize and strenghten their team.In my opinion Koln will win this match so to get the dynamic of the fans and to get back the forgotten fame.
The odds seem good and I will give a great bet on this one.Tommorrow thought we will have a more clearer idea of both teams and the begginning rotation. Thanks

Nurnberg good away team

very good strikers in both teams

Mpenza , Barbarez, Lauth, Takahara
Vittek, Mintal

Wolfsburg-Dortmund smells like an away win. Wolfsburg has a bad coach, no team and no real structure. Dortmund on the other side made good results in Wolfsburg in the past and even they played a **** preparation they are one of my teams who will surprise (maybe 3rd place).
Dortmund´s main problem is that they have only 12 or 13 really good players. But tomorrow they can play with full squad I think and this squad is not worser than Schalke or Stuttgart.

And have a look at my team Duisburg. They will destroy Stuttgart tomorrow. 3:0, Ahanfofuf with a hattrick. He is the best striker ever only a bad character.

If Ahanfouf will play is doubtfull. But I think that Duisburg could get a point.
No pressure as everybody expecting them to lose!
My bets : under and 0:0
Wolfburg only got goals agaist them against Lens.
Allesandro in best form.

Dortmund weak against Olmütz --typical BVB games without any ideas.
Simply searching for Koller.

Rosicky way overrated player -- doing nothing for his money !

my bet: draw

As the host and being the 1st match, Duisburg will want to have a good start in 1. Bundesliga after an absence of 5 years. Fans and players will go all out for it.

Stuggart is just the right high profile team for Duisburg to show their worth. Afterall Stuggart is weaken by departure of 3 important players and is finding goals hard to come by, scoring only in 1 of 5 high profile frienldy games played last 2 weeks. Recommend to bet Duisburg +1/4.

what do you think about bremen defance, can they keep Arminia Bielefeld scorless ? what is a probeble outcome of the game ?

Nordic81
06-08-05, 09:12
I think today only two games are very good odds, all another is no bet for me.

Nürnberg @ Hamburg

Nürnberg is coming @ Hamburg with the top scorer of the last year, Marek Mintal. Cantaluppi a defender is out and Vittek is on Nürnbergs HP without, too.

I think the HSV will win the game and H2H saw OVER. The offence of the two teams are very good: van der Vaart, Mintal (the leaders in the midfield) an the good forwards on the two sides.

Mintal makes a goal and HSV would win the match, i'll bet OVER and Homewin

Bremen-Bielefeld

Bielefeld are without all the stars of the last seasons. Owomoyela goes to Werder Bremen, Buckley at Dortmund and so away. Bremen lost Ismael but the have good forwards with Klose,Klasnic, Valdez and a good mitfield with Micoud, Frings,Baumann.

I dont think Bielefeld have a chance to make a point, the new players are unknows player, the qualtite is slower and poorer as last year. For me Bielefeld nex season will play in League 2. Last year Bremen won @ 3-0 at home and this year Bielefeld not better. They are a very bad team, without big names and big talents.

The experts in german newspapers are all the mining, Bremen wins high and last year they won 3-0 and BIE was a stronger team as this year. I think its a little banker for homewin and the Odds for AH-1.5 are very intresting.

But Bremen is no a team, he comes in the first halftime, last season they will started with the goals in the second half time. I think in HT1 no many goals from Werder also HT/FT 1/1 is not good odd

8/10 @ Homewin
5/10 @ Homewin with AH-1.5
5/10 @ OVER

All in Germany are talking about the Trapatonni theory ...meaning that his teams never score a lot and his first priority is defence. That is a fact but not a fact that is 100% correct.Stuttgart has for the first time spent more money for the attack than in defence...I think especially for his first year Trapatoni will try to play a more attacking football in Bundesliga and if he continues next year he will try to buy a star in defence to make his defence more solid. At this time he only rebuilts the squad. In todays match you will see that Stuutgart will attack and score and by the same time the defence will not be the perfect one.The enthusiasm of Duisburg will give them the opportunity to score. So i think for this match OVER is a nice bet! Thanks and good luck

Stuttgart has for the first time spent more money for the attack than in defence...

Ofcourse they did. After loosing/selling keyplayers Hleb and Kuranyi it would be foolish not to buy replacements.

4 out of todays 6 games were 'overs'. Whether that would've reaped a reward at the prices, I don't know. An average of 3.3 goals/game is pretty free scoring stuff though!

Did anyone see Stuttgart's game? Were they defensive, as Trappatoni's teams usually are? They might be a team to keep on the 'unders' list if they're going to adopt his 'cattenaccio' approach.

Bayern Munich are away to Bayer Leverkusen next.

stuttgart was very offensive, with ten man at the field (cacau-red card), 3 of them were attackers. so it´s not a typical cattenaccio as we all expected from trap. so i dont think stuttgart is a good "under" banker this saison.

But with that said, it's safe to say that Stuttgart has a lot to improve in their attacking game as their attacking wasn't particularly good (even with Cacau on the field) and their two strikers was awfully alone, little assistance from the midfielders.

Bayern Munich are away to Bayer Leverkusen next.If you look past seaons bundlesiga. most of the matches were easily over. and the average per match for whole seaons were above 3.3,!! whil if you can compare to english, they are only 2.41 goals in average.

that may explain why.

Some info from German friends: will Kuranui and Lincoln play today for Schalke 04 after the red cards in League cup final against VfB Stuttgart?

About my question I founded somthing in Sporting Life:
"Kuranyi's four-game suspension is only valid for cup games, so he should take his place in attack against Kaiserslautern on Sunday while Christian Poulsen is likely to start.". Is that true?

Tsuni
07-08-05, 09:46
Yup, Kuranyi's suspension only counts in the Cup!! On the other hand, playmaker Lincoln is suspended today and will not play.

Maybe Leverkusen score goal 1,25 ???

SCHALKE wins for sure , because they have got a great team ,specially the midfleid with the two new players like ernst and bajramovic is very good !! Kuranyi can play and he is in a great form , lincoln is suspended fpr five games in the league . on the other we have got kasierslautern a very poor team this year , no good new players and the lost their best striker amanatidis ,now frankfurt, they have got no chance to take a point from the arena schalke !! homewin with high stakes

Lincoln is the engine in schalke so lack of this player can effect on game of group different

Yes, my friend, FC 04 has got a very good and balanced squad this saison, but there is still only ONE top club in Germany, which can sure win, it´s Bayern!
Pay your attention that S. will play without Lincoln. This man makes their offensive line living!!!! He can pass, dribble, take free kicks and score goals, he´s the most important player for Schalke, as Marcelihno for Hertha! Think about it! He´s the man who knows it best what is to do with the ball . That´s why i would be very careful with sure win of home team.
The odds are now 1.52. It´s not so bad, if u really feel home win.

On gamebookers Odds for Leverkusen to score 1.25

I think for Leverkusen so easy with Berbatov, Voronin and Schneider make 1 Goal. 1.25 are a very good present from the bookie.

Kuranyi plays today against Kaiserslautern. He is only suspended for two game for "Premiere Ligacup"

Lincoln is suspended for 4 weeks ...... he will miss 3 games in the Bundesliga and one from the Cup.

I think schalke will definitely win this match.
Also Kaiserslautern have some injured players. For example Nerlinger,Lehmann are not going to play.
So i think backing schalke with high stakes is good idea.

HT ... Schalke 0-1 Kaiser

It is unbelievable that Schalke trails in this match  The home side have had about 80% possession, but cant create any clear chances.

Kaiserslautern had two good chances and took one of them, a free header for Altintop. Kuranyi had a defelcted shot that just missed. Schalke need to dump Asamoah, the guy is awful!

I am still hopeful that Schalke can win this, but feel that they need a goal by about 60-65 mins to do this.
