ESSEN-DYNAMO DRESDEN 19.00 CET (Friday)

16th hosts 9th. Crucial match for Essen, which fights against relegation. Dynamo made an unbelievable run, came from the bottom of the table and won the last four matches in row!

For Dynamo no more ambitions, at least I think so. And Dynamo is awful away, 1-2-10. Taking the information together: I will go for Essen to win, the odds is 2,00 at gamebookers.

I also think that Essen will win. Dynamo Dresden is good at home but away has bad results. If someone has some extra info about this game it will be very helpfull.

I would like to know something about Essen too. Essen seems on first look as a good bet compared to the odds.

Please anyone? ;-)

Essen - Dresden

Essen at home 5-5-2
Dynamo away 1-2-10

Crucial game for Essen. If they lose here,it will be very hard to stay in the league.Team captain Bjarne Goldbaek returns from his small holiday at home in Denmark granted by coach Gelsdorf earlier this week.Kaluzny returned from the trip to Polands national team as well and will be ready to play. And there's also a financial motivation for Essens players - in case of a win they'll receive their bonuses for the previous games.Essen is counting on their home games to collect points and avoid relegation,so they will give everything to come out victorious from this game.
On the other side Dresden started a 4-win-run and is undefeated for the last 6 games. So they are quite safe in the middle of the table, but many of the teams fighting against relegation have a game in hand. And Dresden is facing 1860 at home and Fürth away in the next two games. So a bad result here can be the start of a bad run, which can bring them again near the relegation zone.3 out of this 4 wins mentioned earlier are at home, only road success (for the whole season) was in Saarbrücken.Dynamo improved a lot in the previous weeks, but now they'll face not a top team trying to outplay them, but a relegation candidate, who will fight till the end.So i doubt their chances to win in Essen.Still in it's current form Dynamo is able to steal a point from RW.But @2.00 Essen is worth a shot imo.

I agree with Sly here and I am going for Essen too..

Essen is a hard team to beat at home 5-5-2, 20-18.. In their last game, they drew away to FC Koln 0-0 in front of 46000 fans and they were playing with 10 men from 37' :!: I am sure that result will give them a big boost and high confidense in front of this crucial game..

D.Dresden is in unbeaten run with 6 games and 4 wins in row but the 3/4 wins were at home :!:
They have a bad away record 1-2-10, 10-30, 12-30 and they will start losing again, starting from today :D

H2H:
27 Oct 04 Dresden v Essen 1-0
03 Apr 04 Dresden v Essen 0-0
19 Sep 03 Essen v Dresden 2-0
11 Dec 02 Dresden v Essen 1-1
03 Aug 02 Essen v Dresden 0-0
06 Apr 01 Essen v Dresden 2-1
07 Oct 00 Dresden v Essen 4-1

I will take the homewin@2,10 here and 1X DC for combos..

I see something like 1-0, 2-1 or 1-1.

Aachen - Erfurt:

Aachen won their last 2 games. They won Trier at home 2-0 but were not good and in last game away to Saarbrucken, they won 2-1 but didn't play well and won luckily..
Today they will miss their first two goalscorers :!:
CF Michalke (10 goals)(Teileinriss des Außenbandes) and MF Pinto (4 goals)(5. Gelbe Karte).
Also leader MF Eric Meijer (4 goals) is doubtful but will play in the end I think..
These 3 players are very important for the team :!:

Also they miss these players who are not regular:
4 Hengen (Hüftgelenksverletzung), 5 D. Brinkmann (Bänderriss), 13 F. Bruns (Rückenverletzung), 15 Hesse (Muskelfaserriss).

Erfurt is playing good lately, or atleast they play better.
They won the last 2 out of 3 games, won 3-2 away to Ahlen, lost 3-2 in Aue and in last game, won Trier 3-0 at home after a very good game.. That home game was the first of their new coach Kocian..
After that game, coach Kocian said that they have more confidense after that game and they can stand in this division..

Only MF Dworrak (3 goals) will miss today's game and Nigerian Onwuzuruike will replace him.

PROBABLE LINE-UPS:

Aachen(4-3-3): 1 Straub - 6 Landgraf, 12 Sichone, 3 Klitzpera, 27 Noll - 7 Plaßhenrich, 8 Rolfes, 19 Schlaudraff - 9 Gomez, 11 Meijer, 20 Scharping.

Erfurt (4-4-2): 1 Twardzik - 5 Richter, 33 Keller, 17 Traub, 3 Bürger - 16 David, 8 Barletta, 7 Kreuz, 22 Onwuzuruike - 11 Hebestreit, 24 Tiganj.

I will take Erfurt here. I don't see any value at all on Aachen...
Also, Aachen's schedule is very difficult, they have to play Duisburg, Munich 1860 and G.Furth till the end of the season.. and I don't think they can promote.. But neither they think of that..
Erfurt has high motivation and high confidense now...

Both AWAY WIN and DRAW are my bets

CF Michalke (10 goals)(Teileinriss des Außenbandes) and MF Pinto (4 goals)(5. Gelbe Karte).

Both AWAY WIN and DRAW are my bets

Erfurt to win at Tivoli? 8O You can't be serious. They could get some lucky point, but the away win? Btw, do you remember Michalke's last goal? His absence is hardly some blow these days.Attacking midfielder C.Fiel is fully fit again, while Laurentiu Reghecampf can replace Pinto. Two wins on the trot, over Trier and Saarbrucken, and Aachen are in the game again.NO BET for me!The price isn't that attractive as a draw isn't out of question, but this smells like a home win.

As for Essen v Dynamo Dresden, well, we have this situation everytime when Essen play in front of home crowd, especially after the winter break(vs.Trier, vs.Burghausen,...) 8O The odds are dropping everywhere, but Essen have never played good when they're expected to take this role of a red hot favourites(and I can give you a lot of examples) and they usually fail in these kind of matches, plus they were amazingly lucky in the last two rounds.Dynamo ain't a force and this streak is a bit of a surprise, but the fact is they're the hottest 2.Bundesliga side at the moment, unbeaten for a very long time, so you can't write them off just like that.Dynamo's Brinkmann and Lavric are one of the best 2.Bundesliga players these days, so they could offer a lot in tonight's game.NO BET for me!Maybe some value lies in DRAW, but I'll skip this one.

I backed Energie Cottbus +1/2(2.00) and this is my only bet today. It's funny how Aue make those results and how much luck they have in their matches. They held Duisburg to a 1:1 draw last week, but "Zebras" could(and should) gone 4:0 or 5:0 up after only 45 minutes of play.Ahanfouf and Co missed some amazing chances, but it was the Aue side who scored the first goal and Duisburg had to be satisfied with one point at the end. With that "run-and-gun" style of play, I really don't know how the hosts could outplay well organized Cottbus tonight as player for player, Cottbus simply look better and although their away record doesn't look that impressive, they should be able to take something from this game.Cottbus will have their strongest available side(except long-term injuries), plus they go into this match on the back of a big and confidence boosting 2:1 win over the Lithuanian national team(!?).

Sunday

Karlsruhe X2(2.20 at Expekt), Stake 9/10
Fantastic price on a very talented KSC side!In my opinion, this is the best deal in this round.KSC superstar Sean Dundee is set to make his full return from serious injury(started the Munchen game on the bench) and we’re finally going to see their fantastic trio Masmanidis-Dundee-Saenko on the pitch. There are no other squad problems for them(except the long-term injuries), so the best side is expected to start Sunday’s game at Furth. You haven’t got to be Einstein to see that KSC look like a new team after the winter break(some strong performances against top teams: Munchen, Koln, Frankfurt, Aachen,…) and I believe they’ll able to keep this momentum.Despite three consecutive defeats Greuther Furth are far from being poor, but obviously the pressure is taking a big part right now and their young players have a lot of problems to cope with the current situation. In this crucial moment, they’re even facing some serious squad problems.First-choice goalkeeper Mavric(one of the best 2.Bundesliga keepers), key forward Feinbier, regular midfielder Caillas,…,are all going to miss the game(I’ll have to check the news once again as Kicker.de isn’t always a reliable source), and with top scorer Sascha Rosler completely out of form(he’s not even regular lately), they could really find it difficult to break KSC.The draw seems to be the most probable outcome here, but KSC are surely capable of winning this one. There are no doubts about that at all.

Ahlen +1/4(1.84 at PointBet), Stake 6/10
IMO, Ahlen have more than enough quality to beat boring Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of the day, or to avoid a defeat at least. The Frankfurt players haven’t been able to create a sh*t over whole season and I really smell another frustrating day for them. Most of their goals were scored after some fast counterattacks or set-pieces or mistakes of their opponents and no wonder why they’re so poor away from home.As a “promotion candidates”(are they?) they’re usually expected to take the control of the match, but simply with that style of play they’re not capable to do that and Ahlen – one of those sides that could beat absolutely anyone on their day - will surely know how to punish them.Ahlen captain Felgenhauer is finally fully fit(had some injury problems in the last few weeks) and set to take his position in the middle, alongside Vladimir Jugovic and as always we’ll see a very offensive Ahlen side, with three players up front(Bamba(or N’Diaye), Svitlica and Thioune are the most probable starters).Should be enough for a positive result IMO.

Good Luck!

Munich 1860 - FC Koln Pick: Homewin2,25@Bet365

This is the last game of Munich 1860 in this stadium and they will return to their smaller one.. There expected to be more than 50000 fans. The biggest aim of the team is to return to Bundesliga. From new season they will share with Bayern Munich the new Allianz Arena.
They come from 7 straight wins at home.
In last game, they drew away to hard Karlsruhe 1-1.
With a win over Koln today, they will be just 4pts behind them..
Hometeam will miss only Ojigwe who played only once, if I am correct, so Munich 1860 will be at full strength.

FC Koln lost in last game away to D.Dresden and before that, they drew at home with Essen 0-0 where Essen was playing with 10 men from 37'!
So, my opinion is that FC Koln is out of form..
They will go for the draw here imo..
FC Koln will miss the regular defender Sinkiewicz (suspended).

I think Munich 1860 is more motivated than Koln since they have Frankfurt, Furth, Aue and Aachen just 1 point behind them while Koln feels quite safe for promotion...

Well I can't see away win here, so I will take homewin and 1X DC for combos which is the best pick here imo..

h2h stats say HOMEWIN! In last 7 games in Munich, hometeam won all 7!
No draws in last 15 games between them! 9-0-6 in last 15!

My advice for 1860 against Köln under 2,5 goals 2,28 betfair

1860 has good form but is never a team who has lot of goal opportunities. Their defense is good but they got no creative play in offense.Their game is rather boring. Köln was last games not good in offense and against good 1860 defense it will be hard to score.
The nice price for the under I take with 6/10.[/b]

What a funny decision in the Furth v KSC game! The referee disallowed a clear goal for KSC(just after that they conceded a naive goal) and completely fu*ked my day.

Anyway, I doubt it was his intention. The pressure is obviously huge after this "Hoyzer" affair.

Unfortunately, Munich 1860 didn't score against FC Koln yesterday but atleast they didn't lose and 1X DC was good imo..

Anyway, I will pick this for today..which is very probable imo..

Trier - Duisburg Pick: DRAW 3,20@PinnacleSports

Trier lost 3-0 in Erfurt in last game and now, after yesterday's results, they are just 2 pts above relegation zone.
Trier has a very good home ground with 6-6-1, 18-13.
Their form in last 6: DWLWLL
Trier still miss GK Kresic and Midf Drageljevic (both regulars). Midfielder ***924;.Keller (5 goals, 2nd scorer) injured and he will be replaced by Klasen.
Young defender Adrian is out and midfielders Grzeskowiak and Zimmer are still sidelined (not important).

Duisburg had good news according the game with Karlsruhe that could be played again because of referee Marks  ... It was decided not to be played again, so it counts as it ended...(3-0)
In last game, Duisburg drew at home with Aue 1-1, was better, but had to wait till 82' to equalise..
They have 5-2-5, 14-13 away..
Their form in last 6: LLWWWD
They still miss some key players, forward Markus Kurth (10 goals, 2nd scorer) and midfielder Dirk Lottner (2 goals).
Midfielder Wehlage and defender Meyer are still sidelined (not important).

Trier has only 1 lose at home , against Aachen 0-4..
They drew their games with all the other big teams at home! G.Furth 0-0, Frankfurt 2-2, Koln 0-0, Munich 1860 2-2... and lost from Aachen 0-4 when Aachen was hot..(17/10/04)
Duisburg hosts Erfurt next round which means they will normally have an easy task there..., while Trier plays in Cottbus a very difficult and crucial game.. I think they will do everything to take as many pts they can at home, since they are not strong away..
Well, I delete from my options the away win..
The value is on Trier's side for sure and I will take 1X DC in combos,
Trier(0), UNDER and HT/FT:1/X.. :P

But for the combetition I will take the DRAW.
I see something like 0-0, 1-0, 1-1 here

22 Aug 03 Trier v Duisburg 1-1
23 Feb 03 Duisburg v Trier 2-4
13 Sep 02 Trier v Duisburg 3-0

Duisburg(2.40) for me!They dropped two points in the last round, at home to Aue(1:1), but for most of the game they were all over them ,creating chance after chance(especially in the first half) and they should be able to bounce back after that unlucky result.Duisburg will miss playmaker Dirk Lottner and forward Markus Kurth, but with the likes of in-form Aziz, Peter van Houdt, Alex Bugera,etc...,the side still looks too classy for Trier.Their confidence is surely still high as they go into this match on the back of an amazing 4:1 win over Borussia Dortmund(friendly) and I believe they'll be back on the top of the table after this game.

Okey but Trier needs points  , home with solid record and Dusiburg already with 2 wins in row away. German teams playing for relegation know really fight to the end, I like also away win but Im not so sure about it, bookie offers 2,7 for Duisburg but 1,4 for x2 will be better probably.

Eintracht Trier SV has no big motivation to win this game

8O 8O 8O

Maybe u should check the table again my friend

Trier is only 2 points above relegation zone!

My opinion is that Duisburg, has not big motivation to win here, I mean, they are not in a must win situation.. they are at the top of the table with 52 pts with FC Koln, while the 4th team, Munich 1860, has 45..

I think a draw will satisfy both teams and if Trier wins, that wouldn't affect so much Duisburg imo..

I will take as I said, the draw, Trier 1X DC, Trier(0), UNDER and HT/FT:1/X

@Vandroiy
As for UNDER/OVER, now I think that it will be UNDER which has some value..
Both teams miss their 2nd scorers.. and Trier drew with FC Koln and G.Furth 0-0 and it looks to be a similar game to those..

I see 0-0, 1-0, 1-1 here now..

And I will edit my previous post..

From that point of view I have to agree with you.Trier will have a huge motivation tonight, without doubt.But,...

Firstly, Treir play their worst football in the last 3 years, especially after the winter break.

Secondly, Duisburg are "only" 7 points above Munchen and 8 points above Frankfurt and Aachen.Yes, this is a big advantage in some way, but don't forget that Duisburg have yet to visit such a strong(powerful) home sides like Koln, Aachen, Frankfurt or Energie Cottbus!Tonight's defeat at Trier would cut that advantage to just 4(5) points and the problems might be huge then, and nobody would like that to face that situation as Duisburg have a big ambitions at the moment. They have a new stadium, they're already trying to sign a new contracts with most of their key players like Alex Bugera, Pavel Drsek, etc...

Btw, just saw that Duisburg midfielder Andreas Voss is ruled out as well.It seems Duisburg will have only 17 available players tonight.Anyway, with the likes of Aziz, Bugera, van Houdt, Grlic, gk Koch,...,their side is still stronger than Trier.

Tonight's defeat at Trier would cut that advantage to just 4(5) points

...as they have to visit Aachen in two weeks and I can't see Duisburg taking anything from that game(they visit Cottbus one week later).

Forgot to add this.

Good Luck! :D

:D Well, what can I say?

I have this strategy: when a team fights for relegation and faces a top one, I always take 1X..
Remember Ahlen - Frankfurt yesterday?

Anyway, I just read in another site, that Sinisterra will not play and they talk and about Voss who is out too as u said due to personal reasons.. and Maas will replace him..

Is Sinisterra really out? Can u confirm that?

Thanks

i support my greek friend's opinion that there s a big chance for a X in that match.
trier very much motivated and not a too bad team. duisburg of course the favourite but they didnt get the results they wanted the last weeks at all and as people already said they are not in a must win situation.
just my 2 cents :)

I'm thinking about X2. Draw because Trier has a good home-record, only 1 loss. And what do you mean by Trier being 2 points away from the relegation zone? Karlsruher is 16th in the league 5 points away from trier.
Duisburg have the same amount of points with Köln BUT they have played only 26 games while Köln have played 27 games.

Yes, I remember that as I backed Ahlen  , but that game was totally different.Ahlen are better than Trier in overall, with a huge, huge experience in those kind of matches, while Duisburg are far stronger than Frankfurt at the moment.Like I said before, Duisburg are a class act this season that possess some great players and they won't gamble as long as they have to play for three points. They are not promoted yet, so there is no point to talk about some lack of motivation.

I saw even better teams than Trier being relegated to Regionalliga(remember Lubeck, with the likes of Adzic, Achenbach, Plasshenrich, Scharping, Thioune, Zandi,...) due to weak mental strength(the Trier side belongs to those kind of teams).Trier will play 2.Bundesliga football in the next 10 years if they avoid a relegation this season, indeed.Simply, they play so poor football. Not even a shadow of a team that played the most beautiful footy in 2.Bundesliga in the last few seasons.Simply, too many old players: Koch, Patschinski, Maric,...,while first-choice goalkeeper Axel Keller left the club last summer.

They have 1-0-3 in last 4.So, only 1 win, against Aue(1:0), but considering what happened there, it should have been a clear defeat by 2-3 goals margin(Aue's Juskowiak & Co missed some 1000% chances). They were totally outplayed by Ahlen as well, plus that 3:3 draw with Furth is just a one of those funny results(you know what I mean if you saw that game).

Eintracht Trier rode their luck for a while, but it won't last forever.I hope they'll prove me wrong, but it doesn't look that nice at the moment. That 0:3 trashing to poor Erfurt is far from being some bad day.Simply, they're struggling big time lately.

Yes, indeed I made a mistake here.. but u are wrong too :P why do u ''look'' at Karlsruhe when there are 4 teams to be relegated?

12. Trier 32 pts
11. Saarbrucken 31
12. Cottbus 31
13. Unterhaching 30
14. Essen 30
-------------------
15. Ahlen 28 pts
16. Karlsruhe 27
17. Eerfurt 26
18. Oberhausen 26

Well, I was on 1X DC and draw, now, I change my bet to straight DRAW and only

Ok. I thought only 3 teams would be relegated.

But anyways I think you have the un updated league tables because where i'm looking it these are the teams in the relegation zone:

RW Essen 27 6 12 9 32- 41 30
Karlsruher 26 6 9 11 32- 41 27
RW Erfurt 26 6 8 12 28- 43 26
RW Oberhause 26 7 5 14 31- 51 26

IMO, Cologne, Duisburg and 1860 are next Germany Premier contestants. I can’t see any chance for Aachen, Aue and Greuter Furth to be promoted this season.
Only Frankfurt were big “enigma”- for sure they have quality and infrastructure for promotion, but still some disappointing results.
It was a similar situation in France 2 where Troyes and Le mans were somewhere in the middle of the table and Nancy were on the top with great “plus” in points, but now they are with almost equal points, all three of them.
Also in Spanish Segunda, some months ago Celta were right in the middle of the table, but now are on the top of the table. At this moment Valladolid are in the middle of the table, but be sure at the end they will be promoted. Cadiz were on the top like Nancy but I think at the end instead of Cadiz, Alaves or Huelva will “earn” a promotion.
Also in Germany 2, Munchen 1860 for the most of the time, were in the middle of the table, but now with Cologne, they are 99% “in”. After the yesterdays defeat, Frankfurt have shown they are not “ready” to promote, and only now Duisburg could be more “comfortable”.

Concerning this match, Duisburg are really with lack of motivation comparing with hosts. Don’t forget that Trier at home were only defeated against Aachen (0-4) but they have drawn home games with 1860(2-2), Cologne(0-0), Frankfurt(1-1) and Greuther(1-1) and win over Aue(1-0). In last matches away Duisburg were far from consistent with “bitter” defeat against Saarbrucken(4-1) :?: and Essen(1-0). They won last two away games Greuther(1-3) and Unterhaching(0-1). I don’t think they have enough power to defeat Trier at home (6/6/1, 18-13)- Trier with far more motivation and with “respectable” results at home. For me, any handicap in hosts favor is highly "playable" , with 7/10.

Nice situation in Bundesliga 2...
7 clubs in race for promotion place(es) and all other have to worry about relegations...
Only one club, Burghausen (8th), on noland territory - cant get promotion or relegaton...

I am bigggg on Duisburg tonight. Have no time to write on main page.
MSV clear better team in overall. Trier with awful soccer already for several weeks, only with a few lucky results. Lottner and Kurth out for MSV but no big problem in my eyes.
GOOOOOOOO MSV

Absolutely deserved win for Trier. With good game-plan, good organisation, they played very simple and very "easy", with very stabile goalkeeper.
Duisburg as we expected, totally unmotivated.

It was impossible to play football there. The hosts made at least 30 fouls(or even more) over 90 minutes  and with some serious referee on the pitch we should have seen at least one red card(Trier left-back Pelzer surely deserved to leave the game).
