jinx from Finland is currently leading the competition with impressive 918 points and all his 5 picks have been correct! But only one more contestant has posted 5 picks so far.
Yanisss, I will only give you 144 points for your pick yesterday since this was the price actual when your wrote it.
My last two picks have been voided in case you wonder. On Tuesday I picked Ajax on level ball and the game ended up in a draw. Yesterday my pick of the day was Portsmouth (-1) Asian Handicap and "Pompey" only beat Norwich with one goal difference. holonia's pick on Tuesday (VALENCIA on level ball) and GOOZ' bet from yesterday (Basel on level ball) were also voided so I didn't count these bets as picks made.
I'm pretty sure of my pick of the day, but I will search for more information about it and perhaps better odds, so I'll post it later!
But my strongest recommendation for Thursday is to bet on Celtic to qualify for the semi-finals in the UEFA-cup @ 2.45 (Fonbet) or 2.40 (NordicBet, etc.). I will also write a prediction for this bet later. I think Celtic has a very good chance to beat Liverpool!

Really nice odds on Liverpool not to lose this match. Celtic is very overrated IMO, and I think Liverpool will easily go into half-finals. Even better bet would be to pick Liverpool to go through, but I don't like to wait for my bets to get settled.

One goal is what Panathinaikos is looking for in the first match against Porto.
Panathinaikos is not afraid of Porto and coach Markarian will choose a 4-4-2 formation. Kolkka (midfielder) is doubtful, and Markarian will decide if he is going to use him in late afternoon. If Kolkka is not ready, Linkar will play in his place.
The probable line-up is: Nikopolidis (goalkeeper), Seitaridis, Fyssas, Kirgiakos, Henriksen (defenders), Basinas, Mikaelsen, Karagounis, Kolkka (midfielders), Liberopoulos, Olisadebe (strikers).

Malaga ought to win, but it wont be by much. All their games so far has been close and rather few goals. Boavista will have great respect for the Spanish club and will try to keep a clean sheet, or at least lose by a very small margin to turn things around at home.

Porto are very strong at home ( they smashed Denizly 6-1) and very good motivated for this match. For Panathinaikos some key players are missing as Vlaovic. So I think that Porto will beat Panathinaikos without problems.

Carolina has nothing left to play for...and it's second game in 2 days. They are used to play 2 night in a row but anyway.
Philadelphia aquired a huge player in Amonte before the deadline...and prabably he will play together with Roenick again like couple of years ago in Chicago! So called weak offense of Philadelphia as it's been called last weeks is history now! Just look at this names Roenick, Recchi, Kapanen, Amonte, LeClair, Gagne etc.
On the other hand Gagne will be out...and maybe LeClair too! Carolina has much bigger injury problems!
Season series are 1-0-2 for Philadelphia (2-1,1-1,2-2) first two games at Carolina!

as others already said in these forums, lazio results in home matches aren't so impressive: 3/7/2 in serie A, 1/1/1 in uefa cup. they have big problems if their opponents play defensively because of lacking of talented players.
besiktas is not used in losing away matches: 7/3/0 in Turkish Super Lig, 1/1/1 in uefa cup. the only defeat was 1-0 against slavia, a slim one, so i'll take the ball given by pinnacle.

Celtic at home is always a marvellous team. Motivation is huge, fact that Larsson wil play is a clear signal of they will to win. Liverpool is not convicing at all now.
It will be very thight, low-scoring Battle of Britain. It will be a joy to watch. I don`t see Liver winning, even scoring. I think Celtic will nick one - 1-0 exact score.

Liverpool plays often very defansive away in UEFA cup matches to get a good result befor the home match, I tinch they are happy with draw in Glasgow, I tinck it quit good chance for draw Halftime/Fulltime to good odds.

Rangers motivation should be much higher. They have to pick a point here if they want to reach the playoffs. Ottawa show good form, but against pretty weak opponents.
Rangers also show good form, but against stronger opponents.
I think this will be a match between Ottawas goalkeeper Lalime and New Yorks offence. If Lalime doesn't play at his best, I think Rangers have a very good chance to win.
