Harbour View FC (JAM) - Pumas UNAM (MEX)

UNAM Pumas will send reserves on Jamaica where they will face Harbour: Odín Patino, Alejandro Palacios, Salvador Medina, Orlando Pineda, Luis Fuentes, Humberto González, Fernando Espinosa, Juan Carlos Ramírez, Luis Rosas, Jehu Chiapas, Álex Diego, Fernando Santana, David Toledo, David Cabrera, Javier Cortés, Francisco Palencia y Eduardo Herrera.

DEFENDING CARIBBEAN Club champions Harbour View face a stern challenge this evening when they host top Mexican club Pumas Unam in the opening round of the inaugural CONCACAF Champions League.Under the leadership of newly appointed Brazilian technical director Waldemar De Oliviera, a major priority in today's game for the 'Stars of the East' will be finally putting to rest a disappointing outing the last time the team played on the international stage.According to Harbour View general manager Clyde Jureidini, the club has learned from its mistakes and is confident of putting on a creditable showing."We are feeling good. I believe we will definitely be doing the best that we can. The focus of the team is very high at this point," Jureidini said."Since our loss to DC we have taken a more technical approach, we have learned from our experience and hopefully, we will able to prove that today," he said. Jureidini believes the addition of the experienced De Oliviera, who has had stints with Brazilian clubs Flamengo, Sao Paulo and Santos, will push the team to previously unattained heights.

P.S.
A crawling Tropical Storm Gustav kept Jamaicans on the edge yesterday as it continued on a path that would put it between Jamaica and Cuba by late this afternoon. The slow pace of the system left most Jamaicans in limbo, as projections changed almost by the hour as to when the island would begin to feel the effects of the seventh tropical storm of the current Atlantic hurricane season.Gustav was initially projected to pass Jamaica late last night or early this morning, but after slamming into Haiti the system lost strength, moving from a Category One hurricane to a strong tropical storm.
