This poll has been up before, but I find it interesting to see how bookmakers' reputation and people's opinion change from time to time.
I know it's hard to choose, but if you had to pick only one to use for the rest of your life, which bookmaker would it be?
If your favourite bookmaker isn't included in the poll, post the name of it in the thread.
Also write a few comments about your favourite bookmaker if possible.
I voted for Betfair, simply because that's where I almost always get the highest odds for my bets.
You must have smth ~5 books if you want to 'catch the odd' ;) I voted for GB however, just because of their big sportsbook(and I make smth like 50% of my bets there). IMO it would be the first book for a newbie to use.
I voted for gamebookers because in my opinion, they are the best "all-around" bookie. They have a wide range of sports, good service, good odds, and good payouts. I would highly recommend gamebookers to anyone wanting to join a betting site.

To be honest, they don't have some less popular sports, so it's not for people who like to catch bookies mistakes in snooker, handball, wintersports... :)
Btw, I added Will Hill. I suppose they deserve to be proposed for voting.
Gamebookers is solid and have great selection of different kind of bets in many sports. For example good for "double chances" doubles, under-over for almost every league, but poor in AH offer, so very often I have to made AH by myself. Limits pretty low for more serious punters (well, of course, if you want to place 10.000 on PSV @1.05 that's not a problem :) ). For example, for one tenis double today @2.20 max was 87.00 Eur.
Pinnacle great for Asians, especially if you are fast, more or less high limits, but poor selection of other kinds of bets and sports.
Centrebet was my choice in voting. Very good odds, good selection of sports, only miss is lack of double chances and totals for many leagues. They have it only for 5-6 major ones. They usually have very good DNB offers for all major leagues.
Customer service good at all three.

After browsind the odds in one leageu you go furhter on and it's just not organised well.

i voted for willhill because ive been using them for the last 2 yrs whilst i grab a little knowledge in the "art" of betting. ive had a look at some sites and i must say im impressed with the layout and design of the gamebookers site (i registeres with them yesterday) but i have to blacklist pinnacle for these reasons:
1) they started with american odds and not decimals and i was like 8O (i know its petty but ive just started 8) )
2) when registering i HAD to provide a password with a number and a letter in which sucks my 2 main passwords are either all numbers or all letters. i know its a security thing but some of the other bookmakers dont restrict the user so much
3) AND THIS ONE IS THE REASON I WONT SIGN UP .... i have to print my debit card front and back and send it with a pictured form of ID to their customer services. ermmmmmmmmm i DONT have a scanner and im certainly NOT sending my card details anywhere!!! nor my passport, nor my driving license NOR anything. and whats with the minimum Ģ25 deposit?! im a student i cant afford to lose that much from my account in one go!
for these reasons, id give me a month and ill prolly be firmly with gamebookers!
can i ask what the attraction is with its competitor betfair?

I think Ladbrokes are godd in Fixed Odds, and they offers alot of minor leagues too.
For Asian Handicap and good customer service I vote for Pointbet, but... certainly not for the design of their website :roll:

New to the forums, so hi all.
Firstly, I've been with Bet 365 for some time now and have found them to be very good, about the only criticism I've heard in regard to them are that they allegedly limit successful players, not had this problem myself but then, I don't as yet play to large stakes. :D
I would be interested to hear others opinions on Pinnacle in particular, I've not really heard much negative press about them, I'm aware they offer very competeitive lines on boxing but would like to hear how others find their prices on Euro soccer, does anybody feel that Pinnacles prices compare favourably, overall with some of the better known U.K or Euro books ?

Their bettingoffer has everything I like to bet, It should have everything a normal better is looking for. Their service is absolut top class and they are very early with their offer. Especially with their tennis they are quick and good. Their odds (margin) mostly aren't so good as other bookies or exchanges but if they keep a game high than you wount find a better bookie with that game. So the often have goodies. (I got limited on that but for small amounts they are good)
2)Vierklee.com
A small bookie but their odds are top, if you look up the favourit odds on (german, english or spanisch) they are mostly leading with their odds.
They have a good wintersports-bettingoffer also they are early with their tennisoffer. Further I like to bet local (4. - 8. league austrian soccer) leagues. But what I really like best is that they have the same bets as gamebookers and offer better to score odds!! Really worth a look.
Every 3 months they give a cash-back of 6% on all my bets and every 4th month they offer a 100% payinbonus on 25,- Euro (25,- Euro free)
In my opinion this is a hammerbonus and every customer gets this regularly.
3)Expekt
I used to like gameobokers more, but their server often packs up and as i have better to score odds with vierklee there is no neeed of gb anymore.
Instead i have expekt! They offer a 25,- Euro Bonus (double that) around every 3 - 4 months and that is a really nice bonus i don't like to miss.
Their odds in generall are very hight (low margins) and I like that very much often I get nice favo odds there and their offer is very nice, much bets. I often miss their tennis-offer, takes them quiet some time but if they offer it than they often have some nice odds.
Icehockey-betting there is also very good as they have good odds there to. All in all this is also a good bookie.
So I hope I could help you with my 3 bookies.
To say something last:
I advise you guys to have many accounts with diffrent bookmakers because there is allways a bookie offering a bonus and if you check your Email once a week you'll find a bonus somewhere.

In my opinion the best one is Betandwin and SportingBet 8)
Betandwin allows you a huge range of live betting, it's great. They have also a wide betting possibilities ( f.e. 3rd Polish League :wink: ). Their website is very clear and the support is very nice there ..

in the first place, betandwin should not be there, they already closed down my 5th account this year and now i have to find a friend to open 6th account for me and continue to bet their live betting.
One thing i love about them is their live betting which you can make easy money to bet on which team to score next goal after 80 minutes, sometimes odd is as good as 7.00 till 10.00, a small stake will return you big money.

There is enough said about first 3, but Eurobet (a sister company of Coral) deserves a word or two. I use them for about a year now and never had any withdrawal problem - fast payouts! (I use bank transfer). All the time they have bonuses and free bets for steady customers. Good limits too - 150 000!

look like all of you is talking abt a bookmaker in Europe, which normally is hard for asian to play (hard deposit or withdrawal, or with high cost when u do a deposit or withdrawal) anyone have any idea in asian, which book maker is offer a good rate + minimise funding cost? so far i know only got one... 188bet, easy deposit and withdrawal for Malaysia Singapore Indonesia customer, and with lower or no cost at all! any recommend other than that?
Basically,I as an asian prefer the way 188bet,pointbet..etc lay out the odds on their sites. Very clean for AH betting.
But to choose between good presentation style(a personal preference thing) and good odds, I go for the later....thus I vote for Pinnacle.

Somebody mentioned that they are not bookies.
Actualy they are way better than simple bookies because they guarantee separation of two things which are normaly integrated in a single bookie: playing platform and bookies liability. The bookie can't take liability more than can pay because of this separation and that's great!
I'm absolutely charmed with Bet365 nice promos through 2007 (no they don't pay me to say that ;) :D )
There was some little casino bonus for Halloween, nice opportunity to play blackjack again (I hadn't played BJ for real money since I was a gambling rookie, 5-6 years ago ;) )
Then the X-max incredible promo, 125 USD deposit bonus, note, with a mere 3X roll-over. That's what I call fair deal, not like those 412556654545 casinos on the net, which give you '1 hour free play' with only 1000X roll-over :D
Seriously, Bet365 is highly recommended, no matter if you have a limit with them, or not.

Pinny, best odds, reliable, and they give the impression that they DON'T want to take your money.
Betfair is good but they have one flaw. On popular events, millions of euros are placed, while on unpopular events you're lucky if you even get odds posted. And I do NOT bet on Champions League.

Bet365 is good, I guess, they offer teasers, but for some reason I have no luck when betting there.
I'd like to mention Bodog, very cool teasers and player props. I still didn't test Sportsbook, but I hear it's the best. Mansion88 rocks among Asian bookies.

Along time ago, back in 2005, i had a favourite bookmaker and i was up $4000 from an initial deposit of $200. I was hot at the time and i was winning, they capped me, but the bookmaker i was usig was Multibet. They soon went down and i withdrew the funds, but what was so good about the site was the Asian Handycaps and the numerous leagues on offer + it did AFL totals. It was one of the best bookmakers i ever played with. It was a 9/10 for me.
I have to mention one thing I noticed, and of course talked it out with big numbers of bettors, is that in last 6 months, many bookies turned into absolute ****!
Dunno wether due to economic recession, but limits lately are almost funny, although actually sad.
Ok, bookies were limiting winners before, especially Bwin, bet365, Betsafe very fast, others like Nordicbet, Ladbrokes, Bluesq, StanJames... a bit later.
But now!!!
Bet3.65 after couple of bets won, maybe less then 100 euro profit, NB the same, those are 2 of the worst! We have a case of a person depositing 500 euros to Nordicbet, making 14 bets, loosing 120 euros, so now total of 380 on account---Limited to some 20 euro. Support saying he can ask for higher bet via e-mail, but all those declined!
Bet3.65 the same.
LAdbrokes pulling similar **** after few bets etc...
Another fact is, even new accounts accepting much less then it was used to...
On the other hand, Bwin seems to have become better. Thumbs up!!!

Somehow got used to bet365 and pinnacle, use bet365 for special bets like ht/ft bets, EH's, corrct scores, combos etc, and pinna for AH's but now discovered :) sbobet and 188bet, great impression so far.

But recently i found some new bookie, with damn good odds - www.bet7days.com
For example, Barca:BayernM , odds for Barca was smth like 2.1 or 2.2 cant remember exactly. So my point is that odds was better then those in berfair 1.8 or smth :)
So after i won almost 100 euro with first bet, i think this will become my favourite bookmaker!

I used to play for many years in Expekt. Always lose my money. Needed to change something in my game and changed the bookie :)
Then I removed my funds to bwin - heard somewhere they have very nice live offer. Yes they have, but then I found out about crappy odds, crappy tennis, problems with withdraw ect
Now since weeks I have in betsafe - but still not happy enough. Much better odds of-course - its very ok form me , but live betting poor, tennis handicaps doesn't exist at all.
When reach some balance (rotation of money) regarding deposit + bonus I will search for new bookie .
Still I dont have favourite one.
Betfair is the way to go,and also it assures you safety of your deposited money because you win money from other players and betfair always have earnings on it because of commision.

BF also increased the commission tremendously, still I don't know many other exchanges that are better than them.
If you're smart, you should never go bankrupt betting just on BF.

BFs commision and premium charges make a unreasonable decision to bet with them. Liquidity on less popular markets is horrible and you can always find better odds somewhere else (sonsidering commision).

Come on guys! This bookie all the time cancel bets and they reduce the odds. They have high odds but when you try to place a bet they cancel it and they offer you lower odds. Ok, payouts are fast but in order to make a payout you must be able to place bets.

Of course 188bet has combo bets, simply go on soccer and then select parlay/combo from bet type. It's available but the offer for this type of bet is not great one, i mean you don't have all leagues to bet on.
And regarding this thread, i voted Pinnacle because i don't see asian bookmakers on the list. Without asians i think Pinnacle is the best, very serious or at least they have been with me, very fast payments, good odds etc.
1. 5Dimes : by far the best bookmaker for me, along with Pinnacle....the lack of "variety" is not so important as long as they keep on having high odds, very fast payouts and excellent customer servise. i feel safe with them.
2. Pinnacle, pretty much the same.
3. gamebookers :Lower odds that the former two but a top bookie imho. Fast payouts, not very much live betting, nothing exceptional as far as odds are concerned but still not bad odds in general.
4. Expekt. Used to be one of my favourites. They do have better odds than most of the other companies (not exchange) in general but they dont have good live options, kinda slow support, few games with asians. Webpage easy to use.
5. Centrebet : odds lower (in general) than expekt or bet 365 for example. Customer service messed up (for me, in two cases they were incorrect and rude). Webpage difficult to use. Few options to bet on a gme, especially in lower leagues or not "top" leagues. Why use them??????
6. Interwetten : the only bookie I know that keeps a commision when you deposit with moneybookers. enough for me to stay away
7.Sportingbet-Bwin : Low odds, big variety of sports....(a friend said that you can bet even on "spitting there" :-) ). Both crappy if you ask me!
8. Will-Hill : Nothing exceptional from odds, less options than I expected for every game, good customer service, reliable. Not a bad bookie but I rarely play there any more.
9. Ladbrokes. Pretty much like will-hill., but with lower odds I think (in general) and more options per game. Both of them with good customer service.
10. bet365 : plenty of games to play, kinda low odds on dogs usually, very good live section and this is their only advantage over other non-asian bookies. I will never play again with them though cause their customer service is not good. Will not miss them.
11. betfair : exchange=better odds, crappy odds on combo section, would not use them as a "common bookie". Top selection for high spenders
12bet is a good bookie for some of you, but you will see soon that they cut you if you win. Down to 150 max per bet or 100.
Really poor bookie especially if you know that they copy Sbobet.
As European bookie Unibet got a amazing variety of bets with good odds.

in general 188Bet has poor options...but enjoys nice design.

Can somebody explain why Pinnacle is so popular? I registered and yes, odds are great and seems there are better maximum stake limits...
However, the bet offers are so poor that I see only 1x2, Halft-time and Under-Over options....

You're right, they don't have many special bets and combos/accumulators offer is slim.
They just don't target these areas, asian lines are what they offer:)
Use some of the better European-based books for special bets, like bet365, expekt, ladbrokes, etc.

Because it is aimed at professionals that do not need anything beside asian handicap and high limits. If you want to have fun with more offers go to bwin and bet365 :D
The best bookie for In-play (live) betting definitely is BET365...so many offers on almost every games daily.
Even WillHill has no such variety...
Betandwin allows you a huge range of live betting, it's great. They have also a wide betting possibilities ( f.e. 3rd Polish League :wink: ). Their website is very clear and the support is very nice there ..
The only thing they don't allow is their customers winning money, for in such cases they close your account with the shitty 'not profitable' explanation, using the discretional right of their to decide on that...

They don't always close the winning accounts, more often just reduce the stake limits to ridiculous levels - something like 5, 3 or 1 EUR per stake. Even 0 EUR when we're talking about Sportingbet:D
What do you think about Betcity.ru they have good odds and most games from all bookies you can make a VIP(very High stake bet) and after 10 min they reply if they will take the bet or not. The only drawback is the lack of deposit/withdrawal methods only few..
The only reliable bookies these days it seems are sbobet.com and maybe 188bet.com all the other bookies are happy to lose big punters to them as they are to lazy to manage there book. All other bookmakers are just interested in small players and or consistent losers. Sad but true.

I really doubt that there is a bookmaker that could match Pinnacle in terms of staking limits and offered oddds - the most important things serious bettors need.

Not necessarily as I can imagine that for people who donīt bet too much may be livebetting, wide offer of betting opportunities, combos etc. the most important factors. But these are two totally different groups of course.

Actually not really.
I have pinnacle account of course. But offer for football is limited. But even when I find something interesting, it happens very often that I can't take it in a double, which I also like playing when I have two similar odds like 1.5-1.6 and I don't want to single it. I use it mostly for tennis betting, and their odds are just superb.
But I also use my account at bet365 and unibet, and it works fine for me. I don't mind their limits cause they are usually enough for me (except Serbian league which is very low). And it works just fine for me.
What do you think about TITANBET...somehow I like their website and odds are not bad at all....only thing bet options on single matches are poor.
