So, here is the final poll in which we will determine who was the:

1. most liked tipster (not to say the best)
2. most readed tipster
3. most followed tipster
4. tipster who brought most profit to someone
5. .....................

around here in 2004. You can write your opinions, your suggestions, everything that is on your heart regarding each and every tipster (even to those who are not listed here), some kind of thankful post, something to critisise, to improve...This poll will run for about 15 days after which you'll still be able to post your opinions....

Remeber, it is always nice if you post some comments with your vote because that is the best way to improve the way tipsters pick their picks, the way they write about them, the way they stake units and so on...I really hope that this will produce better results in months to come (I am really confident about it)...and once again:

please make sure that, before you visit this topic, you log yourself in, so that you can be able to give your vote for your favourite tipster...

thankyou very much for your participation

How can anyone read the above about logging in before visiting this topic? 8O

I know it doesn't sound logical but it works...when a guest reads that, there is a slight chance that he registers himself or logs himself in to make sure that he can vote...if its not written, then he will read everything else and leave...so simple is that...

btw I wonder if this was your only comment

To choose among all those guys was a tough task. At last, I got two names, Mrsha and Joecambo, and I decided to give my vote to the last. Mrsha is without doubt the best around, but since first voting round had only one condition - tipster who helped you the most - I went for Joecambo, becuase his "lessons" helped me to improve my records in Italian leagues.

Btw, I don't like this voting thing and I'm not sure if it can help tipsters to be better. It can just put more competition among tipsters themselves, which is imo not good. But, anyway, I give my vote as I like polls in general. :)

yes, I know what you mean...but my thought was to give everyone a chance to express their opinions about tipsters here, and all that in one place...and this voting thing should only be something sidelined...I hope that lots of opinions will come in, like the one you wrote yourself...I like the line: I gave my vote to...because.....or he deserved my vote because of....etc,etc...

Eh, can`t choose between all of these great names... :? but I choose Holonia as my most liked tipster, which I like to read and who helped me many times, not always with picks but with a word of support. I`m biased here :D

Yes Prija, I know he was at first place with you in that section, but after I saw what

I wonder how grave got into this pool..since he is not a tipster here....
and he is not posting almost nothing in basket section

it went this way. I hope that noone is angry and I think that even that he is not in this poll he is enjoying the fact that he is still a Basketball expert for most people here at BA and that shows his first place in that section...

Although, it is really hard to pick JUST ONE from all these respctful tipsters, my vote goes to Lakini. 8)
He has produced an amazing profit over the last year and he should get the credit for it.

My respect to all the rest in that list!

Mistro is partly right, but Grave was tipster at BA and very active in the forum in the first part of the year.Since we pick the best tipster of the whole year he surely should be listed, although he's not a tipster at BA anymore.F.ex. he was more time a tipster than Matt (who is a great tipster, btw, and got my vote), who on the contrare of him posted in last 2 months.

I cant decide here, all really great, and I feel really   to lead here so far in a list of so many great persons. Thanks for the votes, I will try to make 2005 as successful as 2004.

Another vote for Lakini from me. It's amazing how much knowledge he has on so many different sports and leagues. Especially the Bundesliga...he is in a league of his own.

Holonia and Mrsha were also people I found to be very good tipsters in 2004...not only making great profit but also writing some nice previews in between.

But all of the candidates did a g great job for BA in 2004, and let's all hope we can help each other, in making some good money in 2005 as well.

I can`t vote here, as there are so many good tipsters and people who helped to earn money, I can`t chose between them.

I would, however, like to mention the tipsters that helped me earn money for a long time now (So I`ll mention only tipsters who are here more than a year):

Without specific order:

 Lakini: Well, it`s not only the great picks and the amazing profit, but more the always interesting previews. I couldn`t watch German league last years, and I don`t bet on it every week, but Lakini`s previews make me feel that I know this league... Thanks to him it`s one of my favorites football leagues, although I can`t even watch it.

 Arbiter: Despite his worship to useless Zurawski, who else could make me love the Polish league? One of the few tipsters that I can take their picks without hesitation and sleep well at night. I even read his predicitions although I know nothing about the Polish league.
Because of him I dream now about watching a game of Wisla Krakow, or participating in a Polish spelling context :D

 Santa and Tahoma: 2 tough vikings who do a solid job in the Danish and Swedish leagues.
And I don`t only write it because I hope they will introduce me some Swedish and Danish girls if I visit them!

 Mrsha: This year may be too late to vote for him as he has his private list, but Mrsha is one of the founders of this great forum, and I think I won`t exaggerate if I say that he educated a whole generation of punters, and helped them change from loss to profit (I`m one of them!).

There are so many others as well, I won`t write all because I`m sure I`ll forget someone... But all tipsters in the poll are doing great job :!: [/b]

Well, Iīm stuck in an internet cafe, itīs raining and I donīt have an umbrella so I have nowhere to go... I decided then that I have time to give compliments to all the persons who helped me, not only the idols I mentioned above :D I wonīt write here about something other than football tipsters, since I know nothing about that.

Markus: He wasnīt mentioned much here, but he is doing a solid quite job in the French league, making profit for the third year in a row. With modest and maybe not attractive style, heīs simply doing the job!

Steve777, JoeCambo, Bogdan: Itīs alwas a pleasure to read joecamboīs posts. Steve is making unbelieveable profit in the mainsite, I never saw something like this... And Bogdan is doing excellent job too, maybe now he is in the shadow of superman Steve, but his statistics are excellent, as well as his written predictions.

Lyd: Excellent job in all his predictions, good analysis and similar betting style to my own, I like it :D

Daglashen, Kattis: Great quite job in Greek league. I hope that Kattis will join as a tipster in the mainsite soon, for now, his previews are deep and useful. Daglashen, I think he is somewhat underrated as tipster, heīs doing a great job, and is getting too close to me in the top tipsters list :!:

Andre Alemao: Fantastic profit in short time in many leagues, what more can a punter ask for?

Drobek: I have no idea about handball and I didnīt follow his picks, but this man is too good to be true...

Andysaint:
Good to see him as a Scotish tipster, Iīm sure he will make good profit. He is one of my favorite forum members, because his opinions (both before and afrer the games) are always similar to mine!

ExtremeFB, Juankaan: The first is one the biggest discoveries of the new year, the second one of the craziest veteran members, both with great knowledge and excellent previews.

Also thanks to Arsenalno.1, Gorstak, Dutchy, Kuky, Prag, Alex, Strandns, CG, Satyr, Mantis, Litost, Prague, Mistro, redhotwax, Koffieboer, Macot and many more who I surely forgot

being free to give opinions i will give some negative opinions...

two of the top5 ranked tipsters, Lakini and holonia > i think they give great preview but i think they have mostly the wrong decision after their good preview, i mean > they are mostly betting for the anti-favourite team and of course it will happen that the favourite team will lose but according to me it's not enough to be a good tipster to make profit only like that, it's a little bit like guessing... most of the time they can lose by betting like that way and they often do but no one (want to) see this reality...

for me a good tipster is the one who goes straight forward for a game, even if it's the favourite team, even it is a very low odd, even it's a difficult game, like Kuki does, for me he's very good
, but guessing against big team is not the right way (for example: holonia against barcelona and real, lakini against bayern....) not always but many times... those who don't believe me can check this fact....

Hmm, I cant agree with your opinion.
Lakini is not betting agaisnt favourites, but he knows, he will lose the most, if he constantly bet on teams likeReal, where bookies steal 20% or more on odds every week, knowing the whole world will bet on these teams.
Lakini makes not only good (excellent) previews with fresh info and interesting stories, but he is also succesful finding both VALUE and WINNERS... go through his bets and you will see, sometimes he is betting on favourites, other time he is taking outsiders.
The only thing which prevents him having even better score is that he is betting a lot and taking a lot of bets...
but thats due to his love and determination to betting and sports.

I think, you mixed him with Andre ALemao on this (thus ,he is also taking what he thinks is value, but sometimes goes to extremly into the matter- still, I dont wanna say he is not good, just different!)

GL!

Hi akin,
first I must say that Iīm always happy to get criticm when itīs introduced in a nice way, like you did, and Iīll be happy to hear from you again in the future!

Second, I donīt agree with what you wrote. Like you offerred, I checked this fact  In the 3 years that Iīm a tipster in bettingadvice, I have made +23 units profit on Real Madridīs games (most losses were because of bets on them in my first year). On Barcelona, I made a little more than +30 units profit with betting on their games. I didnīt bet much on Barcelonaīs games in my betting career, but, check it, I havenīt lost a bet on Barcelonaīs game for almost 2 years :!:
I donīt have my statistic with bets on Valencia, but I think I made a lot of profit by betting on them, although they are usualy the favorites.

Iīm quite confident that itīs the same with Lakini and Bayern, but I didnīt check it.

Well good point (bad for the ones who think that way) and this is the reason why 95% of all bettors lose...

But here is not the right place for that discussion. I think all tipsters made a great job which made units. Many diferent ways of thinking and betting but has success needs not to defend his style.

yes i have no doubt abaout the qualities of all the tipster ranked in this poll, otherwise they never should stay at the list, the fact that they are on this list says enough about their qualities, it were just my thoughts which i could say at this topic...
thx
