Can I use a Visa Electron card to deposit at online bookies? I'm not sure if it's a credit or debit card, because our banks do not know the difference between the two so I was short for an answer when I asked about this matter.

My bank is Vojvodjanska banka, so if there's anyone on the forum from Serbia who's using a Visa Electron from Voban, please PM me on this issue.

I know Centrebet do because they have the Visa Electron symbol at the bottom of their main page.

Hey!

Its easier to find out by checking the card number ... if its 16 digits it should be credit card, if less then debit card ... and credit cards have 3 digit security number in back side.

MM

Debit cards have a 16 digit number and a 3 digit security number as well.

Well, I used a debit card with no problems last year, it was a card from the Visa system designed for internet purchases, probably issued only in the (L)Eastern Europe countries :? However, Electron can be either debit or credit card, but is designed for in-shop purchases. These are the intricacies of our countries, even the banks are having problems to offer a proper advice.

Anyway, thanks for the help. BTW, when you withdraw the winnings to your accounts, do you have to pay some in-state taxes or so? In Serbia, I should pay 14% if I were to report the winnings, which I certainly do not intend to

Only 14%?

......bit more over here if you declare it, but all us English punters only lose money so it doesn't affect us

Maybe you should visit the NBA part of our forum more often. Then you would have to think about paying taxes

At last, two things are inevitable: death and NBA. :)
