Shimizu S-Pulse vs Sanfrecce Hiroshima

Shimizu :

Shimizu currently lies 4th in the league table, with a home record of 9w 2d 4l, scoring 25 conceding 14, giving them the 5th best home record. The 4 games they lost were against Urawa, Kashima, Kashiwa and FC Tokyo. Urawa, Kashima and Kashiwa are in the top 5 in the table, and Urawa and Kashima boast the top 2 away records in the league, so to lose to these 3 teams is not a surprise. FC Tokyo has the best away record outside the top 5, so to lose to them is acceptable to. The only team in the bottom half of the table that Shimizu has failed to win against was Omiya, drawing 2 - 2 . However since then Shimizu has gone on a great run at home. Shimizu has always been a quality team that will always be in the top 5 of the table at the end of the season, just that they lack that little bit more to finish champions.

Last 5 home games:

Shimizu 3 - 1 Gamba
Shimizu 3 - 0 Nagoya
Shimizu 2 - 0 Kofu
Shimizu 1 - 0 Yokohama FC
Shimizu 3 - 1 Kawasaki

The last 5 home games have produced 5 w 0d 0 l for Shimizu, scoring 12 and conceding just 2. This is a great run of form at home for Shimizu, as stated above.

Sanfrecce Hiroshima :

Sanfrecce lies 3rd from bottom at 16th place, with an away record of 5w 1d 9l, scoring 24 and conceding 35. This may seem a respectable away record for a team near the bottom, but take note that the wins came earlier in the season. In fact, in the last 10 away games, Hiroshima has only won 1 drawn 1 lost 8, with the 1 win coming against Yokohama FC, which is the bottom team! Sanfrecce's away record against the teams in the top tier of the league (Urawa, Kashima, Gamba, Kashiwa) reads 0w 0d 4l, scoring 2 conceding 14. Shimizu has the same quality as these teams surely.

Last 5 away games :

Omiya 1 - 0 Sanfrecce
Kofu 2 - 1 Sanfrecce
Yokohama FC 1 - 2 Sanfrecce
Yokohama FM 2 - 2 Sanfrecce
Kashiwa 2 - 0 Sanfrecce

Last 5 away games reads 1w 1d 3l, scoring 5 conceding 8. However, as I have stated above, the win was against Yokohama FC, the weakest team in the league. The draw against Yokohama FM is not much of a feat, considering Yokohama FM is going thru a bad run and does not have a great home record.

H2H :

Last 7 games b/w the 2 teams have yielded 3 wins for Shimizu, 2 draws and 2 wins for Sanfrecce. Shimizu have won 2 drawn 1 on their home turf, with both wins for Sanfrecce coming on their own turf.

Conclusion:

Sanfrecce are stuck in a relegation fight, and surely the players are starting to feel the pressure. They are also on a tremendously bad run away from home, with the good away start now looking like a distant memory. Shimizu as usual is at the top half of the table, and with such a good recent home run, i reckon they should be able to continue that run and sent Sanfrecce home with relegation looking more and more possible.

7 units on Shimizu -1@1.93 with my local bookies

Well riorz, i'm giving both matches a miss.

but here's a short write up about the Kawasaki match that i put up on another site:

I'm sure the coming Champions League match for Urawa is a distraction, but they have the advantage after all with the 1-1 score from the first leg.

I would try not to touch this match as it could go either way. Kawasaki is enjoying a run late in the season, recovering from the mid season fatigue of having to play in many competitions. And we all know that Kawasaki is quite a goal scoring machine.

On the other hand, Urawa has been quite phenomenal away from home this season. Up till now they have not lost a single away game in the league, boasting 12 wins and 3 draws, scoring 31 goals and just conceding 11. It is this good away form that prompted me to try my luck on them in the mid week AFC Champions League match... .

I also doubt that Urawa will give up the match as their lead has just been cut to 4 pts with Gamba winning today. Also, Urawa has a tough run in, having to face Kawasaki away tomorrow, followed by 2 home games against Shimizu and Kashima who are bang on form at the moment, and with only the last match against Yokohama FC looking a certainty.

In conclusion, if there wasn't the Champions League match coming up in mid week, I would probably try with small stakes on Urawa level and over 2.75, due to their away form and also both teams ability to score goals. However, i would rather give this match a miss.

Hope it helps u, and good luck for ur bets!!
