PRESTON GRAD PRIX is going perfect till now...
I guess i won't write much.. FIRST 4 FRAMES and a MATCH WIN for O'SULLIVAN are not that different... Did you watch him yesterday???
DOTT made the firs frame, and that did O'SULLIVAN take the control, and won the 2nd without giving any chance...
That's O'SULLIVAN...
But; i still keep on saying that HIS STYLE CHANGED MUCH...
He plays too safe... Does not take risks...
I know MISTRO does not like DOTT :wink: ... But even this DOTT played more bravely than O'SULLIVAN yesterday...
Whether he deserved to win 3 frames can be questioned but this is O'SULLIVAN that plys vs you, so even 3 FRAMES in a ) FRAME GAME is good....
Let's write some notes about todays battle...
MARK SELBY...
He had a hard first round.. A 5-4 win over Chris Small... Than over Leo Fernandes... Easier than he first round... The score says it as well... Mark Shelby is something that i guess reached the top place that he ever could reach here... But he managed o do more.. A win over EBDON is the 3rd round.... (that's not a TOO IMPORTANT WIN.. EBDON had a poor grand prix. he could even lose earlier....)
Anyway SHELBY won...
And now is he on the way to play vs the SNOOKER KING...
Can he can continue? My opinion is surely "NO" !!!
That would be too much for him...
O'SULLIVAN and HUNTER are doing perfect and a SEMI FINAL between these 2 is close for me... And ANY SURPRISE winner for OUTRIGHT could be that HUNTER wins this match vs O'SULLIVAN and loses the FINAL for lack of concantration...
I still see O'SULLIVAN as WINNER....

this bet is from BET365. You just need to CLICK on DOUBLE RESULT... The rule for this bet is,
LEADER OF FIRST 4 FRAMES, and WINNER OF THE MATCH... Something like, HT/FT in SOCCER BETs...
I guess this EDIT was needed..

Today I will again go for Stephen Maguire @ 1.72 (8/10) to beat Ian McCulloch.
McCulloch has already beaten Jimmy White and Stephen Hendry, but for me these were not real suprises as both players have not been top of their game for a few years now.
McCulloch is a good player, I was really impressed with him in the World Championships last season and he has started this season well. However, in yesterdays game it was more mistakes from Hendry that gave the game to Ian than Ian playing great to win.
Stephen Maguire is an excellent young player, and I expect him to be World Champion in the next 5 years. He won the European Open last season to prove he has what it takes and I expect him to win at least another 1/2 tournaments this year.
Maguire it is for me in what I do expect to be a tight match up.

Dott lost, because he did not have guts to play a bit more attacking snooker!!!
I know, why you got this impression- he started to play a bit more curagely from 7th frame on, but it was too late then!
He had golden opportunities in some frames, to clinch them, only if he wouldnt play so defensevly, but he unfortunately always decided for safety instead of taking a solid potting chance!
So, I think, O Sullivan won deservedly and is on way to the finals. He is a dominating kind of player, who can put pressure on oponent whenever needed, not mentioning his brilliant, two-hand playing!!
GL with your pick, I am sure, you will win it!

Hmm, it is a tricky, you know, he is not a great starter, so you need 3:1 or 4:0 after 4 frames, anyzhing else you lose... 2:2,1:3,0:4

I'll need a 3-1 or 4-0.. But i like the 3-1.. Esp after a WINNING FRAME from SELBY... But that's something i don't think about...
About DOTT... I made a mistake in my post.. I did read yesterdays messages again.. It was YOU not mistro that did not like DOTT...
Anyway i still like him.. And to be honest, after watching the style change by O'SULLIVAN after so many time, can i just think that he has to thank god for his natural abilities...
Otherwise, guess that he had less abilities to snooker, maybe some like DOTT has...
I'm sure O'SULLIVAN would be such a player that noone would even think to watch his game...

The Scot had a chance for 2-0 lead but missed the pink :? and then in the 4th frame missed an easy red with the rest of the reds split ... McCulloch just moped up!

Well McCulloch won 5-2 ... and impressive he was!
Maguire made plenty of elementary errors, which suprised me a lot! ... but due credit to McCulloch, each time he took full advantage and deservedly won by playing very solid snooker.
Maguire will need to cut out the errors next time ... but I will still back him in coming tournaments.

Well if Ronnie should be taken at any bet..then i agree with Kaan.
HT/FT should be the way.since in snooker this bet is far far far better then in soccer.
BUT: im thinking of stake..don`t know..u see sure so far Ronnie did what he had to to get here u must not look at his mistakes or the way he played...don`t get me wrong but he is bored :)
U see he doesen`t come out with 1 goal in his mind..to win 5-0 5-1..nah he comes out to do his job and to end match in nice 5-2 5-3.
I don`t hate Dott..i really don`t like him..not only couse of his style or the way he looks acts..but generaly..just don`t like him :)
If i had to say who i hate..well M.Williams on top of the list 100%. :wink:
Anyway..look how Selby played so far...very impressive. So far oly Hunter-Ronnie came trough..many others failed big time.
My verdict is that Ronnie wins so he can meet Hunter in semis so he and his very very good frend can fix up the match again so bouth get big money from bookies :wink: ..yea...don`t be 8O ..would***731;n`t be the first time.
but must add if Selby wins..i wouldn`t be suprised also...i know i sound stupid but thats just the way it is IMO..but yes if there is a good bet then it`s HT/FT.

And, yes, Ronnie changed his play, but Jimmy also did that, I mean, people hate to lose and if they wanna win more, they have to bring more security int otheir game... thats why drago is never winning tournaments, but if you watch him, when he is hot, you would not believe his eyes, what speed he is capable of! Finnishing frame in four minutes and such!!!
